English: Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for your love is better than wine.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ അധരങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ ചുംബിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്റെ പ്രേമം വീഞ്ഞിലും രസകരമാകുന്നു.

English: Because of the savour of your good ointments your name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ തൈലം സൌരഭ്യമായതു; നിന്റെ നാമം പകർന്ന തൈലംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു കന്യകമാർ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

English: Draw me, we will run after you: the king has brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: the upright love you.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ എന്നെ വലിക്ക; നാം ഓടിപ്പോക; രാജാവു എന്നെ പള്ളിയറകളിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നിൽ ഉല്ലസിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കും; നിന്റെ പ്രേമത്തെ വീഞ്ഞിനെക്കാൾ ശ്ളാഘിക്കും; നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതു ഉചിതം തന്നേ.

English: I am black, but comely, O all of you daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

Malayalam: യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, ഞാൻ കറുത്തവൾ എങ്കിലും കേദാര്യകൂടാരങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയും ശലോമോന്റെ തിരശ്ശീലകളെപ്പോലെയും അഴകുള്ളവൾ ആകുന്നു.

English: Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun has looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു ഇരുൾനിറം പറ്റിയിരിക്കയാലും ഞാൻ വെയിൽകൊണ്ടു കറുത്തിരിക്കയാലും എന്നെ തുറിച്ചുനോക്കരുതു. എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ എന്നോടു കോപിച്ചു. എന്നെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങൾക്കു കാവലാക്കി; എന്റെ സ്വന്ത മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഞാൻ കാത്തിട്ടില്ലതാനും.

English: Tell me, O you whom my soul loves, where you feed, where you make your flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turns aside by the flocks of your companions?

Malayalam: എന്റെ പ്രാണപ്രിയനേ, പറഞ്ഞുതരിക: നീ ആടുകളെ മേയിക്കുന്നതു എവിടെ? ഉച്ചെക്കു കിടത്തുന്നതു എവിടെ? നിന്റെ ചങ്ങാതിമാരുടെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്കരികെ ഞാൻ മുഖം മൂടിയവളെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

English: If you know not, O you fairest among women, go your way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed your kids beside the shepherds' tents.

Malayalam: സ്ത്രീകളിൽ അതിസുന്ദരിയേ, നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ ആടുകളുടെ കാൽചുവടു തുടർന്നുചെന്നു ഇടയന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളുടെ അരികെ നിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ മേയിക്ക.

English: I have compared you, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, ഫറവോന്റെ രഥത്തിന്നു കെട്ടുന്ന പെൺകുതിരയോടു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഉപമിക്കുന്നു.

English: Your cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, your neck with chains of gold.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ കവിൾത്തടങ്ങൾ രത്നാവലികൊണ്ടും നിന്റെ കഴുത്തു മുത്തുമാലകൊണ്ടും ശോഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: We will make you borders of gold with studs of silver.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു വെള്ളിമണികളോടുകൂടിയ സുവർണ്ണസരപ്പളി ഉണ്ടാക്കിത്തരാം.

English: While the king sits at his table, my spikenard sends forth the smell thereof.

Malayalam: രാജാവു ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ ജടാമാംസി സുഗന്ധം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night between my breasts.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പ്രിയൻ എനിക്കു സ്തനങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്ന മൂറിൻ കെട്ടുപോലെയാകുന്നു.

English: My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പ്രിയൻ എനിക്കു ഏൻ ഗെദി മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലെ മയിലാഞ്ചിപ്പൂകൂലപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Behold, you are fair, my love; behold, you are fair; you have doves' eyes.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, നീ സുന്ദരി, നീ സുന്ദരി തന്നേ; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു പ്രാവിന്റെ കണ്ണുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Behold, you are fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പ്രിയനേ, നീ സുന്ദരൻ, നീ മനോഹരൻ; നമ്മുടെ കിടക്കയും പച്ചയാകുന്നു.

English: The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.

Malayalam: നമ്മുടെ വീട്ടിന്റെ ഉത്തരം ദേവദാരുവും കഴുക്കോൽ സരളവൃക്ഷവും ആകുന്നു.
