Psalms 40

English: I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ യഹോവെക്കായി കാത്തുകാത്തിരുന്നു; അവൻ എങ്കലേക്കു ചാഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു.

English: He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my activities.

Malayalam: നാശകരമായ കുഴിയിൽനിന്നും കുഴഞ്ഞ ചേറ്റിൽനിന്നും അവൻ എന്നെ കയറ്റി; എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ഒരു പാറമേൽ നിർത്തി, എന്റെ ഗമനത്തെ സ്ഥീരമാക്കി.

English: And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Malayalam: അവൻ എന്റെ വായിൽ പുതിയോരു പാട്ടുതന്നു, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തുതി തന്നേ; പലരും അതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും.

English: Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Malayalam: യഹോവയെ തന്റെ ആശ്രയമാക്കിക്കൊള്ളുകയും നിഗളികളെയും വ്യാജത്തിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നവരെയും ആദരിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

English: Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള നിന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങളും വളരെയാകുന്നു; നിന്നോടു സദൃശൻ ആരുമില്ല; ഞാൻ അവയെ വിവരിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവ എണ്ണിക്കൂടാതവണ്ണം അധികമാകുന്നു.

English: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; mine ears have you opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required.

Malayalam: ഹനനയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല; നീ ചെവികളെ എനിക്കു തുളെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഹോമയാഗവും പാപയാഗവും നീ ചോദിച്ചില്ല.

English: Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; ഇതാ, ഞാൻ വരുന്നു; പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

English: I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഞാൻ പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നു; നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, you know.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ നീതിയെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു; അധരങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ അടക്കീട്ടില്ല; യഹോവേ, നീ അറിയുന്നു.

English: I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great congregation.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നീതിയെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ മറച്ചുവെച്ചില്ല; നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും രക്ഷയും ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു; നിന്റെ ദയയും സത്യവും ഞാൻ മഹാസഭെക്കു മറെച്ചതുമില്ല.

English: Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ കരുണ നീ എനിക്കു അടെച്ചുകളയില്ല; നിന്റെ ദയയും സത്യവും എന്നെ നിത്യം പരിപാലിക്കും.

English: For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart fails me.

Malayalam: സംഖ്യയില്ലാത്ത അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മേല്പെട്ടു നോക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്നെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ തലയിലെ രോമങ്ങളിലും അധികം; ഞാൻ ധൈര്യഹീനനായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, എന്നെ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നേണമേ; യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ വേഗം വരേണമേ.

English: Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; എന്റെ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു അപമാനം ഏൽക്കട്ടെ.

English: Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

Malayalam: നന്നായി, നന്നായി എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്നവർ തങ്ങളുടെ നാണംനിമിത്തം സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ.

English: Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let such as love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

Malayalam: നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും നിന്നിൽ ആനന്ദിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്റെ രക്ഷയെ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവർ യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ എന്നു എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

English: But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me: you are my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

Malayalam: ഞാനോ എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനും ആകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും കർത്താവു എന്നെ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; നീ തന്നേ എന്റെ സഹായവും എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, താമസിക്കരുതേ.
