Proverbs 11

English: A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

Malayalam: കള്ളത്തുലാസ്സു യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; ഒത്ത പടിയോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം.

English: When pride comes, then comes shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

Malayalam: അഹങ്കാരം വരുമ്പോൾ ലജ്ജയും വരുന്നു; താഴ്മയുള്ളവരുടെ പക്കലോ ജ്ഞാനമുണ്ടു.

English: The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Malayalam: നേരുള്ളവരുടെ നിഷ്കളങ്കത്വം അവരെ വഴിനടത്തും; ദ്രോഹികളുടെ വികടമോ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.

English: Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death.

Malayalam: ക്രോധദിവസത്തിൽ സമ്പത്തു ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിയോ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

Malayalam: നിഷ്കളങ്കന്റെ നീതി അവന്റെ വഴിയെ ചൊവ്വാക്കും; ദുഷ്ടനോ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു വീണു പോകും.

English: The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

Malayalam: നേരുള്ളവരുടെ നീതി അവരെ വിടുവിക്കും; ദ്രോഹികളോ തങ്ങളുടെ ദ്രോഹത്താൽ പിടിപെടും.

English: When a wicked man dies, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perishes.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടൻ മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷ നശിക്കുന്നു; നീതികെട്ടവരുടെ ആശെക്കു ഭംഗം വരുന്നു.

English: The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his position.

Malayalam: നീതിമാൻ കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടൻ അവന്നു പകരം അകപ്പെടുന്നു.

English: An hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

Malayalam: വഷളൻ വായ്കൊണ്ടു കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരോ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

English: When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്മാർ ശുഭമായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പട്ടണം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ നശിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആർപ്പുവിളി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.

English: By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Malayalam: നേരുള്ളവരുടെ അനുഗ്രഹംകൊണ്ടു പട്ടണം അഭ്യുദയം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായ്കൊണ്ടോ അതു ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

English: He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbour: but a man of understanding holds his peace.

Malayalam: കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിഹീനൻ; വിവേകമുള്ളവനോ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: A talebearer reveals secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit conceals the matter.

Malayalam: ഏഷണിക്കാരനായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തമാനസനോ കാര്യം മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു.

English: Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Malayalam: പരിപാലനം ഇല്ലാത്തേടത്തു ജനം അധോഗതി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ ബഹുത്വത്തിലോ രക്ഷയുണ്ടു.

English: He that is guarantor for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hates standing for surety is sure.

Malayalam: അന്യന്നുവേണ്ടി ജാമ്യം നില്ക്കുന്നവൻ അത്യന്തം വ്യസനിക്കും! ജാമ്യം നില്പാൻ പോകാത്തവനോ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കും.

English: A gracious woman retains honour: and strong men retain riches.

Malayalam: ലാവണ്യമുള്ള സ്ത്രീ മാനം രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; വിക്രമന്മാർ സമ്പത്തു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

English: The merciful man does good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubles his own flesh.

Malayalam: ദയാലുവായവൻ സ്വന്തപ്രാണന്നു നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു; ക്രൂരനോ സ്വന്തജഡത്തെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നു.

English: The wicked works a deceitful work: but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടൻ വൃഥാലാഭം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; നീതി വിതെക്കുന്നവനോ വാസ്തവമായ പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടും.

English: As righteousness tends to life: so he that pursues evil pursues it to his own death.

Malayalam: നീതിയിൽ സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ജീവനെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദോഷത്തെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവനോ തന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

English: They that are of a perverse heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Malayalam: വക്രബുദ്ധികൾ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; നിഷ്കളങ്കമാർഗ്ഗികളോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം.

English: Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്നു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നതിന്നു ഞാൻ കയ്യടിക്കാം; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.

English: As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Malayalam: വിവേകമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു സുന്ദരി പന്നിയുടെ മൂക്കിൽ പൊൻ മൂകൂത്തിപോലെ.

English: The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ആഗ്രഹം നന്മ തന്നേ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോ ക്രോധമത്രേ.

English: There is that scatters, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tends to poverty.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ വാരിവിതറീട്ടും വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ ന്യായവിരുദ്ധമായി ലോഭിച്ചിട്ടും ഞെരുക്കമേയുള്ളു.

English: The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that waters shall be watered also himself.

Malayalam: ഔദാര്യമാനസൻ പുഷ്ടി പ്രാപിക്കും; തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നവന്നു തണുപ്പു കിട്ടും.

English: He that withholds corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that sells it.

Malayalam: ധാന്യം പൂട്ടിയിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവനെ ജനങ്ങൾ ശപിക്കും; അതു വില്ക്കുന്നവന്റെ തലമേലോ അനുഗ്രഹംവരും.

English: He that diligently seeks good procures favour: but he that seeks mischief, it shall come unto him.

Malayalam: നന്മെക്കായി ഉത്സാഹിക്കുന്നവൻ രഞ്ജന സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു; തിന്മയെ തിരയുന്നവന്നോ അതു തന്നേ കിട്ടും.

English: He that trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Malayalam: തന്റെ സമ്പത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവൻ വീഴും; നീതിമാന്മാരോ പച്ചയിലപോലെ തഴെക്കും.

English: He that troubles his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

Malayalam: സ്വഭവനത്തെ വലെക്കുന്നവന്റെ അനുഭവം വായുവത്രെ; ഭോഷൻ ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയന്നു ദാസനായ്തീരും.

English: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്നു ജീവവൃക്ഷം പ്രതിഫലം; ജ്ഞാനിയായവൻ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ നേടന്നു.

English: Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്നു ഭൂമിയിൽ പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ദുഷ്ടന്നും പാപിക്കും എത്ര അധികം?
