Proverbs 12

English: Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof is brutish.

Malayalam: പ്രബോധനം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവൻ പരിജ്ഞാനം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു; ശാസന വെറുക്കുന്നവനോ മൃഗപ്രായൻ.

English: A good man obtains favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

Malayalam: ഉത്തമൻ യഹോവയോടു പ്രസാദം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദുരുപായിക്കോ അവൻ ശിക്ഷ വിധിക്കുന്നു.

English: A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

Malayalam: ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും ദുഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുകയില്ല; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വേരോ ഇളകിപ്പോകയില്ല.

English: A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Malayalam: സാമർത്ഥ്യമുള്ള സ്ത്രീ ഭർത്താവിന്നു ഒരു കിരീടം; നാണംകെട്ടവളോ അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾക്കു ദ്രവത്വം.

English: The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ ന്യായം, ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ നിരൂപണങ്ങളോ ചതിവത്രെ.

English: The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ പറഞ്ഞൊക്കുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവരുടെ വാക്കോ അവരെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ മറിഞ്ഞുവീണു ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ഭവനമോ നിലനില്ക്കും.

English: A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ബുദ്ധിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ശ്ളാഘിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; വക്രബുദ്ധിയോ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

English: He that is despised, and has a servant, is better than he that honors himself, and lacks bread.

Malayalam: മാന്യഭാവം നടിച്ചിട്ടും ഉപജീവനത്തിന്നു മുട്ടുള്ളവനെക്കാൾ ലഘുവായി മതിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും ഒരു ഭൃത്യനുള്ളവൻ ശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ ആകുന്നു.

English: A righteous man regards the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Malayalam: നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ മൃഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രാണാനുഭവം അറിയുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഉള്ളമോ ക്രൂരമത്രെ.

English: He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding.

Malayalam: നിലം കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു ആഹാരം സമൃദ്ധിയായി കിട്ടും; നിസ്സാരന്മാരെ പിൻചെല്ലുന്നവനോ ബുദ്ധിഹീനൻ.

English: The wicked desires the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yields fruit.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടൻ ദോഷികളുടെ കവർച്ച ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വേരോ ഫലം നല്കുന്നു.

English: The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

Malayalam: അധരങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനത്തിൽ വല്ലാത്ത കണിയുണ്ടു; നീതിമാനോ കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോരും.

English: A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

Malayalam: തന്റെ വായുടെ ഫലത്താൽ മനുഷ്യൻ നന്മ അനുഭവിച്ചു തൃപ്തനാകും; തന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു കിട്ടും.

English: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkens unto counsel is wise.

Malayalam: ഭോഷന്നു തന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വായ്തോന്നുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനിയോ ആലോചന കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നു.

English: A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame.

Malayalam: ഭോഷന്റെ നീരസം തൽക്ഷണം വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു; വിവേകമുള്ളവനോ ലജ്ജ അടക്കിവെക്കുന്നു.

English: He that speaks truth shows forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

Malayalam: സത്യം പറയുന്നവൻ നീതി അറിയിക്കുന്നു; കള്ളസാക്ഷിയോ വഞ്ചന അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

English: There is that speaks like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

Malayalam: വാളുകൊണ്ടു കുത്തുംപോലെ മൂർച്ചയായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നവർ ഉണ്ടു; ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ നാവോ സുഖപ്രദം.

English: The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Malayalam: സത്യം പറയുന്ന അധരം എന്നേക്കും നിലനില്ക്കും; വ്യാജം പറയുന്ന നാവോ മാത്രനേരത്തേക്കേയുള്ളു.

English: Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

Malayalam: ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ചതിവു ഉണ്ടു; സമാധാനം ആലോചിക്കുന്നവർക്കോ സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ടു.

English: There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്നു ഒരു തിന്മയും ഭവിക്കയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ അനർത്ഥംകൊണ്ടു നിറയും.

English: Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Malayalam: വ്യാജമുള്ള അധരങ്ങൾ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; സത്യം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം.

English: A prudent man conceals knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.

Malayalam: വിവേകമുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ പരിജ്ഞാനം അടക്കിവെക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയമോ ഭോഷത്വം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.

English: The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

Malayalam: ഉത്സാഹികളുടെ കൈ അധികാരം നടത്തും; മടിയനോ ഊഴിയവേലെക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

English: Heaviness in the heart of man makes it stoop: but a good word makes it glad.

Malayalam: മനോവ്യസനം ഹേതുവായി മനുഷ്യന്റെ മനസ്സിടിയുന്നു; ഒരു നല്ല വാക്കോ അതിനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduces them.

Malayalam: നീതിമാൻ കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു വഴികാട്ടിയാകുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വഴിയോ അവരെ തെറ്റി നടക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

English: The slothful man roasts not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

Malayalam: മടിയൻ ഒന്നും വേട്ടയാടിപ്പിടിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഉത്സാഹമോ മനുഷ്യന്നു വിലയേറിയ സമ്പത്താകുന്നു.

English: In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Malayalam: നീതിയുടെ മാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ജീവനുണ്ടു; അതിന്റെ പാതയിൽ മരണം ഇല്ല.
