Proverbs 10

English: The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മകൻ അപ്പനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷനായ മകൻ അമ്മെക്കു വ്യസനഹേതുവാകുന്നു.

English: Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivers from death.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടതയാൽ സമ്പാദിച്ച നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിയോ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casts away the substance of the wicked.

Malayalam: യഹോവ നീതിമാനെ പട്ടിണി കിടത്തുകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൊതിയോ അവൻ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നു.

English: He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

Malayalam: മടിയുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ ദരിദ്രനായ്തീരുന്നു; ഉത്സാഹിയുടെ കയ്യോ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.

English: He that gathers in summer is a wise son: but he that sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame.

Malayalam: വേനൽക്കാലത്തു ശേഖരിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ; കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു ഉറങ്ങുന്നവനോ നാണംകെട്ടവൻ.

English: Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ ശിരസ്സിന്മേൽ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ വരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായെ സാഹസംമൂടുന്നു.

English: The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ ഓർമ്മ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പേരോ കെട്ടുപോകും.

English: The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a babbling fool shall fall.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയൻ കല്പനകളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; വിടുവായനായ ഭോഷനോ വീണുപോകും.

English: He that walks uprightly walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known.

Malayalam: നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ നിർഭയമായി നടക്കുന്നു; നടപ്പിൽ വക്രതയുള്ളവനോ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും.

English: He that winks with the eye causes sorrow: but a babbling fool shall fall.

Malayalam: കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടുന്നവൻ ദുഃഖം വരുത്തുന്നു; തുറന്നു ശാസിക്കുന്നവനോ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.

English: The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായെ സാഹസംമൂടുന്നു.

English: Hatred stirs up strifes: but love covers all sins.

Malayalam: പക വഴക്കുകൾക്കു കാരണം ആകുന്നു; സ്നേഹമോ, സകലലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മൂടുന്നു.

English: In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

Malayalam: വിവേകിയുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ ജ്ഞാനം ഉണ്ടു; ബുദ്ധിഹീനന്റെ മുതുകിന്നോ വടികൊള്ളാം.

English: Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനികൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം അടക്കിവെക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷന്റെ വായോ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന നാശം.

English: The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

Malayalam: ധനവാന്റെ സമ്പത്തു, അവന്നു ഉറപ്പുള്ളോരു പട്ടണം; എളിയവരുടെ നാശമോ അവരുടെ ദാരിദ്ര്യം തന്നേ.

English: The labour of the righteous tends to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം ജീവഹേതുവും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ആദായം പാപകാരണവും ആകുന്നു.

English: He is in the way of life that keeps instruction: but he that refuses reproof errs.

Malayalam: പ്രബോധനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ ജീവമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ശാസന ത്യജിക്കുന്നവനോ ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുന്നു;

English: He that hides hatred with lying lips, and he that utters a slander, is a fool.

Malayalam: പക മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവൻ പൊളിവായൻ; ഏഷണി പറയുന്നവൻ ഭോഷൻ.

English: In the multitude of words there wants not sin: but he that refrains his lips is wise.

Malayalam: വാക്കു പെരുകിയാൽ ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയില്ല; അധരങ്ങളെ അടക്കുന്നവനോ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ.

English: The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ നാവു മേത്തരമായ വെള്ളി; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയമോ നിസ്സാരം.

English: The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for lack of wisdom.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പലരെയും പോഷിപ്പിക്കും; ഭോഷന്മാരോ ബുദ്ധിഹീനതയാൽ മരിക്കുന്നു.

English: The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാകുന്നു; അദ്ധ്വാനത്താൽ അതിനോടു ഒന്നും കൂടുന്നില്ല.

English: It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding has wisdom.

Malayalam: ദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഭോഷന്നു കളിയാകുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനം വിവേകിക്കു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

English: The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടൻ പേടിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ അവന്നു ഭവിക്കും; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ആഗ്രഹമോ സാധിക്കും.

English: As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

Malayalam: ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ ദുഷ്ടൻ ഇല്ലാതെയായി; നീതിമാനോ ശാശ്വതമായ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഉള്ളവൻ.

English: As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

Malayalam: ചൊറുക്ക പല്ലിന്നും പുക കണ്ണിന്നും ആകുന്നതുപോലെ മടിയൻ തന്നേ അയക്കുന്നവർക്കു ആകുന്നു.

English: The fear of the LORD prolongs days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Malayalam: യഹോവാഭക്തി ആയുസ്സിനെ ദീർഘമാക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സംവത്സരങ്ങളോ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകും.

English: The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പ്രത്യാശ സന്തോഷമാകുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷെക്കോ ഭംഗം വരും.

English: The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ വഴി നേരുള്ളവന്നു ഒരു ദുർഗ്ഗം; ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർക്കോ അതു നാശകരം.

English: The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

Malayalam: നീതിമാൻ ഒരുനാളും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ ദേശത്തു വസിക്കയില്ല.

English: The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom: but the perverse tongue shall be cut out.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം മുളെപ്പിക്കുന്നു; വക്രതയുള്ള നാവോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

English: The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverseness.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പ്രസാദകരമായതു അറിയുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായോ വക്രതയുള്ളതാകുന്നു.
