Luke 23

English: And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അവർ എല്ലാവരും കൂട്ടമേ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനെ പീലാത്തൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി:

English: And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

Malayalam: ഇവൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജാതിയെ മറിച്ചുകളകയും താൻ ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന രാജാവാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു കൈസർക്കു കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിരോധിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതായി ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു എന്നു കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിത്തുടങ്ങി.

English: And Pilate asked him, saying, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, You says it.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനോടു: നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവൊ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു” എന്നു അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും പുരുഷാരത്തോടും: ഞാൻ ഈ മനുഷ്യനിൽ കുറ്റം ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവർ: അവൻ ഗലീലയിൽ തുടങ്ങി യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ എങ്ങും ഇവിടത്തോളവും പഠിപ്പിച്ചു ജനത്തെ കലഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിഷ്കർഷിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.

Malayalam: ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ഗലീലക്കാരനോ എന്നു പീലാത്തൊസ് ചോദിച്ചു;

English: And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

Malayalam: ഹെരോദാവിന്റെ അധികാരത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടവൻ എന്നറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു, അന്നു യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന ഹെരോദാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അവനെ അയച്ചു.

English: And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Malayalam: ഹെരോദാവു യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിച്ചു; അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കാണ്മാൻ വളരെക്കാലമായി ഇച്ഛിച്ചു, അവൻ വല്ല അടയാളവും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കാണാം എന്നു ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

Malayalam: ഏറിയോന്നു ചോദിച്ചിട്ടും അവൻ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.

English: And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും കഠിനമായി അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നു.

English: And Herod with his men of war set him at nothing, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Malayalam: ഹെരോദാവു തന്റെ പടയാളികളുമായി അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു നിസ്സാരനാക്കി ശുഭ്രവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു പീലാത്തൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടക്കി അയച്ചു.

English: And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Malayalam: അന്നു ഹെരോദാവും പീലാത്തൊസും തമ്മിൽ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരായിത്തീർന്നു; മുമ്പെ അവർ തമ്മിൽ വൈരമായിരുന്നു.

English: And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും പ്രമാണികളെയും ജനത്തെയും വിളിച്ചു കൂട്ടി.

English: Said unto them, All of you have brought this man unto me, as one that perverts the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man concerning those things whereof all of you accuse him:

Malayalam: അവരോടു: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ജനത്തെ മത്സരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വിസ്തരിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ ചുമത്തിയ കുറ്റം ഒന്നും ഇവനിൽ കണ്ടില്ല;

English: No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

Malayalam: ഹെരോദാവും കണ്ടില്ല; അവൻ അവനെ നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കൽ മടക്കി അയച്ചുവല്ലോ; ഇവൻ മരണയോഗ്യമായതു ഒന്നും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടില്ല സ്പഷ്ടം;

English: I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനെ അടിപ്പിച്ചു വിട്ടയക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

Malayalam: ഇവനെ നീക്കിക്കളക; ബറബ്ബാസിനെ വിട്ടു തരിക എന്നു എല്ലാവരുംകൂടെ നിലവിളിച്ചു,

English: And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

Malayalam: (ഉത്സവന്തോറും ഒരുത്തനെ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്ക പതിവായിരുന്നു)

English: (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

Malayalam: അവനോ നഗരത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു കലഹവും കുലയും ഹേതുവായി തടവിലായവൻ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spoke again to them.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് യേശുവിനെ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

Malayalam: അവരോ: അവനെ ക്രൂശിക്ക, ക്രൂശിക്ക എന്നു എതിരെ നിലവിളിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil has he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

Malayalam: അവൻ മൂന്നാമതും അവരോടു: അവൻ ചെയ്ത ദോഷം എന്തു? മരണയോഗ്യമായതു ഒന്നും അവനിൽ കണ്ടില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനെ അടിപ്പിച്ചു വിട്ടയക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

Malayalam: അവരോ അവനെ ക്രൂശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഉറക്കെ മുട്ടിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു; അവരുടെ നിലവിളി ഫലിച്ചു;

English: And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷപോലെ ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പീലാത്തൊസ് വിധിച്ചു.

English: And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

Malayalam: കലഹവും കുലയും ഹേതുവായി തടവിലായവനെ അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷപോലെ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയും യേശുവിനെ അവരുടെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

English: And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

Malayalam: അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുമ്പോൾ വയലിൽ നിന്നു വരുന്ന ശിമോൻ എന്ന ഒരു കുറേനക്കാരനെ അവർ പിടിച്ചു ക്രൂശ് ചുമപ്പിച്ചു യേശുവിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ നടക്കുമാറാക്കി.

English: And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

Malayalam: ഒരു വലിയ ജനസമൂഹവും അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി വിലപിച്ചു മുറയിടുന്ന അനേകം സ്ത്രീകളും അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു.

English: But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

Malayalam: യേശു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവരെ നോക്കി: “യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി കരയേണ്ടാ, നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെയും ചൊല്ലി കരവിൻ.

English: For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the breast which never gave suck.

Malayalam: മച്ചികളും പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത ഉദരങ്ങളും കുടിപ്പിക്കാത്ത മുലകളും ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളവ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരുന്നു.

English: Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Malayalam: അന്നു മലകളോടു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വീഴുവിൻ എന്നും കുന്നുകളോടു: ഞങ്ങളെ മൂടുവിൻ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങും.

English: For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

Malayalam: പച്ചമരത്തോടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ ഉണങ്ങിയതിന്നു എന്തു ഭവിക്കും”എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരായ വേറെ രണ്ടുപേരെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

English: And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

Malayalam: തലയോടിടം എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവർ അവിടെ അവനെയും ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെയും, ഒരുത്തനെ വലത്തും ഒരുത്തനെ ഇടത്തുമായി, ക്രൂശിച്ചു.

English: Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യേശു: “പിതാവേ, ഇവർ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഇവരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അനന്തരം അവർ അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വിഭാഗിച്ചു ചീട്ടിട്ടു.

English: And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

Malayalam: ജനം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നു. ഇവൻ മറുള്ളവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചുവല്ലോ; ദൈവം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പ്രധാനികളും പരിഹസിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

Malayalam: പടയാളികളും അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അടുത്തു വന്നു അവന്നു പുളിച്ചവീഞ്ഞു കാണിച്ചു.

English: And saying, If you be the king of the Jews, save yourself.

Malayalam: നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവു എങ്കിൽ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ രക്ഷിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Malayalam: ഇവൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവു എന്നു ഒരു മേലെഴുത്തും അവന്റെ മീതെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If you be Christ, save yourself and us.

Malayalam: തൂക്കിയ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ: നീ ക്രിസ്തു അല്ലയോ? നിന്നെത്തന്നേയും ഞങ്ങളെയും രക്ഷിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ദുഷിച്ചു.

English: But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Do not you fear God, seeing you are in the same condemnation?

Malayalam: മറ്റവനോ അവനെ ശാസിച്ചു: സമശിക്ഷാവിധിയിൽ തന്നേ ആയിട്ടും നീ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?

English: And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man has done nothing amiss.

Malayalam: നാമോ ന്യായമായിട്ടു ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; നാം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതിന്നു യോഗ്യമായതല്ലോ കിട്ടുന്നതു; ഇവനോ അരുതാത്തതു ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ: യേശുവേ, നീ രാജത്വം പ്രാപിച്ചു വരുമ്പോൾ എന്നെ ഓർത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, To day shall you be with me in paradise.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “ഇന്നു നീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ പറുദീസയിൽ ഇരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായി നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

Malayalam: ഏകദേശം ആറാം മണി നേരമായപ്പോൾ സൂര്യൻ ഇരുണ്ടുപോയിട്ടു ഒമ്പതാം മണിവരെ ദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും അന്ധകാരം ഉണ്ടായി.

English: And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Malayalam: ദൈവമന്ദിരത്തിലെ തിരശ്ശീല നടുവെ ചീന്തിപ്പോയി.

English: And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the spirit.

Malayalam: യേശു അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ “പിതാവേ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ തൃക്കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു; ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടു.

English: Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

Malayalam: ഈ സംഭവിച്ചതു ശതാധിപൻ കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ വാസ്തവമായി നീതിമാൻ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

English: And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, stroke their breasts, and returned.

Malayalam: കാണ്മാൻ കൂടി വന്ന പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും സംഭവിച്ചതു കണ്ടിട്ടു മാറത്തടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood far off, beholding these things.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പരിചയക്കാർ എല്ലാവരും ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചസ്ത്രീകളും ഇതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു.

English: And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:

Malayalam: അരിമത്യ എന്നൊരു യെഹൂദ്യപട്ടണക്കാരനായി നല്ലവനും നീതിമാനും ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ കാത്തിരുന്നവനുമായ യോസേഫ് എന്നൊരു മന്ത്രി —

English: (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരുടെ ആലോചനെക്കും പ്രവൃത്തിക്കും അനുകൂലമല്ലായിരുന്നു —

English: This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം ചോദിച്ചു,

English: And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

Malayalam: അതു ഇറക്കി ഒരു ശീലയിൽ പൊതിഞ്ഞു പാറയിൽ വെട്ടിയിരുന്നതും ആരെയും ഒരിക്കലും വെച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതുമായ കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ചു.

English: And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

Malayalam: അന്നു ഒരുക്കനാൾ ആയിരുന്നു, ശബ്ബത്തും ആരംഭിച്ചു.

English: And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the tomb, and how his body was laid.

Malayalam: ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നു അവനോടുകൂടെ പോന്ന സ്ത്രീകളും പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു കല്ലറയും അവന്റെ ശരീരം വെച്ച വിധവും കണ്ടിട്ടു

English: And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

Malayalam: മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗവും പരിമളതൈലവും ഒരുക്കി; കല്പന അനുസരിച്ചു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരന്നു.
