Psalms 38

English: O lord, rebuke me not in your wrath: neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കരുതേ. ഉഗ്രനീരസത്തോടെ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയുമരുതേ.

English: For yours arrows stick fast in me, and your hand presses me sore.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിൽ തറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ മേൽ ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: There is no soundness in my flesh because of yours anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ നീരസം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽ സൌഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.

English: For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

Malayalam: എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്കു അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വംഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങൾ ചീഞ്ഞുനാറുന്നു.

English: I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും കൂനിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.

English: For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

Malayalam: എന്റെ അരയിൽ വരൾച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽ സൌഖ്യമില്ല.

English: I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the chaos of my heart.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചു അത്യന്തം തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഞരക്കംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ അലറുന്നു.

English: Lord, all my desire is before you; and my groaning is not hid from you.

Malayalam: കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: My heart pants, my strength fails me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

Malayalam: എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ വശംകെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എനിക്കില്ലാതെയായി.

English: My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand far off.

Malayalam: എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും കൂട്ടുകാരും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ടു മാറിനില്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരും അകന്നുനില്ക്കുന്നു.

English: They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ കണിവെക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അനർത്ഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ വേണ്ടാതനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

English: But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that opens not his mouth.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: Thus I was as a man that hears not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ, കേൾക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായിൽ പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

English: For in you, O LORD, do I hope: you will hear, O Lord my God.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നിങ്കൽ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

English: For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.

Malayalam: അവർ എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറയുമല്ലോ.

English: For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഇടറി വീഴുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ എന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.

English: But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോ ജീവനും ബലവുമുള്ളവർ. എന്നെ വെറുതെ പകെക്കുന്നവർ പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാൽ അവർ എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായി നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈവിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.

English: Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

Malayalam: എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിന്നു വേഗം വരേണമേ.
