Matthew 13

English: The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

Malayalam: അന്നു യേശു വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു കടലരികെ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

Malayalam: വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടുകകൊണ്ടു അവൻ പടകിൽ കയറി ഇരുന്നു; പുരുഷാരം എല്ലാം കരയിൽ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And he spoke many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു പലതും ഉപമകളായി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തന്നാൽ: “വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ വിതെപ്പാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

English: And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Malayalam: വിതെക്കുമ്പോൾ ചിലതു വഴിയരികെ വിണു; പറവകൾ വന്നു അതു തിന്നു കളഞ്ഞു.

English: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

Malayalam: ചിലതു പാറസ്ഥലത്തു ഏറെ മണ്ണില്ലാത്ത ഇടത്തു വീണു; മണ്ണിന്നു താഴ്ചയില്ലായ്കയാൽ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ മുളെച്ചുവന്നു.

English: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Malayalam: സൂര്യൻ ഉദിച്ചാറെ ചൂടുതട്ടി, വേർ ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ അതു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Malayalam: മറ്റു ചിലതു മുള്ളിന്നിടയിൽ വീണു; മുള്ളു മുളെച്ചു വളർന്നു അതിനെ ഞെരുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Malayalam: മറ്റു ചിലതു നല്ല നിലത്തു വീണു, നൂറും അറുപതും മുപ്പതും മേനിയായി വിളഞ്ഞു.

English: Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Malayalam: ചെവിയുള്ളവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.”

English: And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak you unto them in parables?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ വന്നു: അവരോടു ഉപമകളായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ മർമ്മങ്ങളെ അറിവാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർക്കോ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

English: For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has.

Malayalam: ഉള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കും; അവന്നു സമൃദ്ധിയുണ്ടാകും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ അവന്നുള്ളതും കൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

English: Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ കണ്ടിട്ടു കാണാതെയും കേട്ടിട്ടു കേൾക്കാതെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ ഉപമകളായി അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing all of you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing all of you shall see, and shall not perceive:

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ചെവിയാൽ കേൾക്കും ഗ്രഹിക്കയില്ലതാനും; കണ്ണാൽ കാണും ദർശിക്കയില്ലതാനും; ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ചെവികൊണ്ടു മന്ദമായി കേൾക്കുന്നു; കണ്ണു അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ കണ്ണു കാണാതെയും ചെവി കേൾക്കാതെയും ഹൃദയം കൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെയും ഞാൻ അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ

English: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Malayalam: എന്നു യെശയ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞ പ്രവാചകത്തിന്നു അവരിൽ നിവൃത്തിവരുന്നു.

English: But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവി കേൾക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളവ.

English: For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which all of you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which all of you hear, and have not heard them.

Malayalam: ഏറിയ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും നീതിമാന്മാരും നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നതു കാണ്മാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു കണ്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കുന്നതു കേൾപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടും കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: Hear all of you therefore the parable of the sower.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ വിതെക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഉപമ കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ.

English: When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ ദുഷ്ടൻ വന്നു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നു; ഇതത്രെ വഴിയരികെ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതു.

English: But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and soon with joy receives it;

Malayalam: പാറസ്ഥലത്തു വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ, ഒരുത്തൻ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ഉടനെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈകൊള്ളുന്നതു ആകുന്നു എങ്കിലും വേരില്ലാതിരിക്കയാൽ അവൻ ക്ഷണികനത്രേ.

English: Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Malayalam: വചനംനിമിത്തം ഞെരുക്കമോ ഉപദ്രവമോ നേരിട്ടാൽ അവൻ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു.

English: He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Malayalam: മുള്ളിന്നിടയിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ, ഒരുത്തൻ വചനം കേൾക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ചിന്തയും ധനത്തിന്റെ വഞ്ചനയും വചനത്തെ ഞെരുക്കീട്ടു നിഷ്ഫലനായി തീരുന്നതാകുന്നു.

English: But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Malayalam: നല്ല നിലത്തു വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ ഒരുത്തൻ വചനം കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു അതു വിളഞ്ഞു നൂറും അറുപതും മുപ്പതും മേനി നല്കുന്നു.”

English: Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

Malayalam: അവൻ മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവർക്കു പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തു: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ നിലത്തു നല്ല വിത്തു വിതെച്ചതിനോടു സദൃശമാകുന്നു.

English: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യർ ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശത്രു വന്നു, കോതമ്പിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ കള വിതെച്ചു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Malayalam: ഞാറു വളർന്നു കതിരായപ്പോൾ കളയും കാണായ്‍വന്നു.

English: So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? from whence then has it tares?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ വീട്ടുടയവന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: യജമാനനേ, വയലിൽ നല്ലവിത്തല്ലയോ വിതെച്ചതു? പിന്നെ കള എവിടെനിന്നു വന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?

Malayalam: ഇതു ശത്രു ചെയ്തതാകുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി അതു പറിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവാൻ സമ്മതമുണ്ടോ എന്നു ദാസന്മാർ അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: But he said, Nay; lest while all of you gather up the tares, all of you root up also the wheat with them.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഇല്ല, പക്ഷേ കള പറിക്കുമ്പോൾ കോതമ്പും കൂടെ പിഴുതുപോകും.

English: Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather all of you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Malayalam: രണ്ടുംകൂടെ കൊയ്ത്തോളം വളരട്ടെ; കൊയ്ത്തു കാലത്തു ഞാൻ കൊയ്യുന്നവരോടു മുമ്പെ കളപറിച്ചു കൂട്ടി ചുട്ടുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു കെട്ടുകളായി കെട്ടുവാനും കോതമ്പു എന്റെ കളപ്പുരയിൽ കൂട്ടിവെപ്പാനും കല്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

English: Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Malayalam: മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവൻ അവർക്കു പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തു: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം കടുകുമണിയോടു സദൃശം; അതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ എടുത്തു തന്റെ വയലിൽ ഇട്ടു.

English: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Malayalam: അതു എല്ലാവിത്തിലും ചെറിയതെങ്കിലും വളർന്നു സസ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലുതായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകൾ വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളിൽ വസിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വൃക്ഷമായി തീരുന്നു.”

English: Another parable spoke he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Malayalam: അവൻ മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം പുളിച്ച മാവിനോടു സദൃശം; അതു ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറ മാവിൽ എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുവോളം അടക്കിവെച്ചു.”

English: All these things spoke Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spoke he not unto them:

Malayalam: ഇതു ഒക്കെയും യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടു ഉപമകളായി പറഞ്ഞു; ഉപമ കൂടാതെ അവരോടു ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല

English: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Malayalam: “ഞാൻ ഉപമ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാൻ വായ്തുറക്കും; ലോകസ്ഥാപനം മുതൽ ഗൂഢമായതു ഉച്ചരിക്കും” എന്നു പ്രവാചകൻ പറഞ്ഞതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാൻ സംഗതിവന്നു.

English: Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു, ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: വയലി കളയുടെ ഉപമ തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;

Malayalam: “നല്ല വിത്തു വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ;

English: The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

Malayalam: വയൽ ലോകം; നല്ലവിത്തു രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ;

English: The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Malayalam: കള ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ; അതു വിതെച്ച ശത്രു പിശാചു; കൊയ്ത്തു ലോകാവസാനം;

English: As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Malayalam: കൊയ്യുന്നവർ ദൂതന്മാർ കള കൂട്ടി തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുടുംപോലെ ലോകാവസാനത്തിൽ സംഭവിക്കും.

English: The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയക്കും; അവർ അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽനിന്നു എല്ലാ ഇടർച്ചകളെയും അധർമ്മം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു

English: And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Malayalam: തീച്ചൂളയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളയുകയും, അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

English: Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Malayalam: അന്നു നീതിമാന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും. ചെവിയുള്ളവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.

English: Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

Malayalam: സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം വയലിൽ ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച നിധിയോടു സദൃശം. അതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ കണ്ടു മറെച്ചിട്ടു, തന്റെ സന്തോഷത്താൽ ചെന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ആ വയൽ വാങ്ങി.

English: Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Malayalam: പിന്നെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം നല്ല മുത്തു അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യാപാരിയോടു സദൃശം.

English: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Malayalam: അവൻ വിലയേറിയ ഒരു മുത്തു കണ്ടെത്തിയാറെ ചെന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു അതു വാങ്ങി.

English: Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

Malayalam: പിന്നെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം കടലിൽ ഇടുന്നതും എല്ലാവക മീനും പിടിക്കുന്നതുമായോരു വലയോടു സദൃശം.

English: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

Malayalam: നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവർ അതു വലിച്ചു കരെക്കു കയറ്റി, ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പാത്രങ്ങളിൽ കൂട്ടിവെച്ചു, ചീത്ത എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ലോകാവസാനത്തിൽ സംഭവിക്കും; ദൂതന്മാർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ വേർതിരിച്ചു തീച്ചൂളയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളയും;

English: And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Malayalam: അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

English: Jesus says unto them, Have all of you understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Malayalam: ഇതെല്ലാം ഗ്രഹിച്ചുവോ?” എന്നതിന്നു അവർ ഉവ്വു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “അതുകൊണ്ടു സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്നു ശിഷ്യനായിത്തീർന്ന ഏതു ശാസ്ത്രിയും തന്റെ നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുതിയതും പഴയതും എടുത്തു കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരു വീട്ടുടയവനോടു സദൃശനാകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

Malayalam: ഈ ഉപമകളെ പറഞ്ഞു തീർന്നശേഷം യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു തന്റെ പിതൃനഗരത്തിൽ വന്നു, അവരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ അവർക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചു.

English: And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence has this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Malayalam: അവർ വിസ്മയിച്ചു: ഇവന്നു ഈ ജ്ഞാനവും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളും എവിടെ നിന്നു?

English: Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

Malayalam: ഇവൻ തച്ചന്റെ മകൻ അല്ലയോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവളല്ലയോ? ഇവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ യാക്കോബ്, യോസെ, ശിമോൻ, യൂദാ എന്നവർ അല്ലയോ?

English: And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then has this man all these things?

Malayalam: ഇവന്റെ സഹോദരികളും എല്ലാം നമ്മോടുകൂടെയില്ലയോ? ഇവന്നു ഇതു ഒക്കെയും എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവങ്കൽ ഇടറിപ്പോയി.

English: And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ തന്റെ പിതൃനഗരത്തിലും സ്വന്തഭവനത്തിലും അല്ലാതെ ബഹുമാനമില്ലാത്തവൻ അല്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ അവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തം അവിടെ വളരെ വീര്യപ്രവർത്തികളെ ചെയ്തില്ല.
