Matthew 12

English: At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

Malayalam: ആ കാലത്തു യേശു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വിളഭൂമിയിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വിശന്നിട്ടു കതിർ പറിച്ചു തിന്നുതുടങ്ങി

English: But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, your disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

Malayalam: പരീശർ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഇതാ, ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തതു നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he said unto them, Have all of you not read what David did, when he was an hungered, and they that were with him;

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും

English: How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

Malayalam: വിശന്നപ്പോൾ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്നു. പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും തിന്മാൻ വിഹിതമല്ലാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം തിന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

English: Or have all of you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

Malayalam: അല്ല, ശബ്ബത്തിൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു ശബ്ബത്തിനെ ലംഘിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുറ്റമില്ലാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

English: But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദൈവാലയത്തെക്കാൾ വലിയവൻ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: But if all of you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, all of you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Malayalam: യാഗത്തിലല്ല, കരുണയിൽ അത്രേ, ഞാൻ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.

English: For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രനോ ശബ്ബത്തിന്നു കർത്താവാകുന്നു.”

English: And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

Malayalam: അവൻ അവിടം വിട്ടു അവരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ, കൈ വരണ്ട ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

English: And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനിൽ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുത്തന്നു ഒരു ആടുണ്ടു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ; അതു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ കുഴിയിൽ വീണാൽ അവൻ അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു കയറ്റുകയില്ലയോ?

English: How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യൻ ആടിനെക്കാൾ എത്ര വിശേഷതയുള്ളവൻ. ആകയാൽ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു വിഹിതം തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

English: Then says he to the man, Stretch forth yours hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like the other.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ആ മനുഷ്യനോടു: “കൈ നീട്ടുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ നീട്ടി, അതു മറ്റേതുപോലെ സൌഖ്യമായി.

English: Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

Malayalam: പരീശന്മാരോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ വേണ്ടി അവന്നു വിരോധമായി തമ്മിൽ ആലോചിച്ചു.

English: But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Malayalam: യേശു അതു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവിടം വിട്ടുപോയി, വളരെ പേർ അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു; അവൻ അവരെ ഒക്കെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കി,

English: And charged them that they should not make him known:

Malayalam: തന്നെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കരുതു എന്നു അവരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു.

English: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

Malayalam: “ഇതാ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത എന്റെ ദാസൻ, എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പ്രിയൻ; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അവന്റെമേൽ വെക്കും; അവൻ ജാതികൾക്കു ന്യായവിധി അറിയിക്കും.”

English: Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles.

Malayalam: അവൻ കലഹിക്കയില്ല, നിലവിളിക്കയില്ല; ആരും തെരുക്കളിൽ അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കയുമില്ല.

English: He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

Malayalam: ചതഞ്ഞ ഓട അവൻ ഒടിച്ചുകളകയില്ല; പുകയുന്ന തിരി കെടുത്തുകളകയില്ല; അവൻ ന്യായവിധി ജയത്തോളം നടത്തും.

English: A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ജാതികൾ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കും”

English: And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Malayalam: എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു നിവൃത്തി ആകുവാൻ സംഗതിവന്നു.

English: Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം ചിലർ കുരുടനും ഊമനുമായോരു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഊമൻ സംസാരിക്കയും കാണ്കയും ചെയ്‍വാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

English: And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

Malayalam: പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും വിസ്മയിച്ചു: ഇവൻ ദാവീദ് പുത്രൻ തന്നേയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Malayalam: അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു പരീശന്മാർ: ഇവൻ ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനായ ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരുടെ നിരൂപണം അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ഒരു രാജ്യം തന്നിൽ തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ ശൂന്യമാകും;

English: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Malayalam: ഒരു പട്ടണമോ ഗൃഹമോ തന്നിൽ തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല. സാത്താൻ സാത്താനെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ തന്നിൽ തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു പോയല്ലോ; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ രാജ്യം എങ്ങനെ നിലനില്ക്കും?

English: And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾ ആരെക്കൊണ്ടു പുറത്താക്കുന്നു? അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ ആകും.

English: But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come unto you.

Malayalam: ദൈവാത്മാവിനാൽ ഞാൻ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു സ്പഷ്ടം.

English: Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

Malayalam: ബലവാനെ പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടീട്ടല്ലാതെ ബലവാന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കടന്നു അവന്റെ കോപ്പു കവർന്നുകളവാൻ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടിയാൽ പിന്നെ അവന്റെ വീടു കവർച്ച ചെയ്യാം.

English: He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലാത്തവൻ എനിക്കു പ്രതികൂലം ആകുന്നു; എന്നോടുകൂടെ ചേർക്കാത്തവൻ ചിതറിക്കുന്നു.

English: Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു: സകലപാപവും ദൂഷണവും മനുഷ്യരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; ആത്മാവിന്നു നേരെയുള്ള ദൂഷണമോ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

English: And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Malayalam: ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്നു നേരെ ഒരു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്നു നേരെ പറഞ്ഞാലോ ഈ ലോകത്തിലും വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

English: Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Malayalam: ഒന്നുകിൽ വൃക്ഷം നല്ലതു, ഫലവും നല്ലതു എന്നു വെപ്പിൻ; അല്ലായ്കിൽ വൃക്ഷം ചീത്ത, ഫലവും ചീത്ത എന്നു വെപ്പിൻ; ഫലം കൊണ്ടല്ലോ വൃക്ഷം അറിയുന്നതു.

English: O generation of vipers, how can all of you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Malayalam: സർപ്പസന്തതികളെ, നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടരായിരിക്കെ നല്ലതു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതിൽ നിന്നല്ലോ വായ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു.

English: A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Malayalam: നല്ല മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽനിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യൻ ദുർന്നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽനിന്നു തീയതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യർ പറയുന്ന ഏതു നിസ്സാരവാക്കിന്നും ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തിൽ കണക്കു ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.”

English: Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from you.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിലും പരീശന്മാരിലും ചിലർ അവനോടു: ഗുരോ, നീ ഒരു അടയാളം ചെയ്തുകാണ്മാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Malayalam: “ദോഷവും വ്യഭിചാരവുമുള്ള തലമുറ അടയാളം തിരയുന്നു; യോനാപ്രവാചകന്റെ അടയാളമല്ലാതെ അതിന്നു അടയാളം ലഭിക്കയില്ല.

English: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Malayalam: യോനാ കടലാനയുടെ വയറ്റിൽ മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഇരുന്നതു പോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇരിക്കും.

English: The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

Malayalam: നീനെവേക്കാർ ന്യായവിധിയിൽ ഈ തലമുറയോടു ഒന്നിച്ചു എഴുന്നേറ്റു അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവർ യോനയുടെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടുവല്ലോ; ഇതാ, ഇവിടെ യോനയിലും വലിയവൻ.

English: The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Malayalam: തെക്കെ രാജ്ഞി ന്യായവിധിയിൽ ഈ തലമുറയോടു ഒന്നിച്ചു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവൾ ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം കേൾപ്പാൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികളിൽ നിന്നു വന്നുവല്ലോ; ഇവിടെ ഇതാ, ശലോമോനിലും വലിയവൻ.

English: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

Malayalam: അശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം നീരില്ലാത്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ കൂടി തണുപ്പു അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ലതാനും.

English: Then he says, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he has come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്ന എന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലും എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നു; ഉടനെ വന്നു, അതു ഒഴിഞ്ഞതും അടിച്ചുവാരി അലങ്കരിച്ചതുമായി കാണുന്നു.

English: Then goes he, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, തന്നിലും ദുഷ്ടതയേറിയ വേറെ ഏഴു ആത്മാക്കളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവരും അവിടെ കയറി പാർക്കുന്നു; ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ പിന്നത്തെ സ്ഥിതി മുമ്പിലത്തേതിലും വല്ലാതെ ആകും; ഈ ദുഷ്ടതലമുറെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കും.”

English: While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

Malayalam: അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയിൽ അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തു നിന്നു.

English: Then one said unto him, Behold, your mother and your brethren stand without, desiring to speak with you.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും നിന്നോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തുനില്ക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

Malayalam: അതു പറഞ്ഞവനോടു അവൻ: “എന്റെ അമ്മ ആർ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ആർ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി: “ഇതാ, എന്റെ അമ്മയും എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും.

English: For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Malayalam: സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എന്റെ സഹോദരനും സഹോദരിയും അമ്മയും ആകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
