Luke 16

English: And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ധനവാനായോരു മനുഷ്യന്നു ഒരു കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അവന്റെ വസ്തുവക നാനാവിധമാക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചിലർ അവനെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of you? give an account of your stewardship; for you may be no longer steward.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ചു: നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു ഈ കേൾക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിന്റെ കണക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുതരിക; നീ ഇനി കാര്യവിചാരകനായിരിപ്പാൻ പാടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord takes away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

Malayalam: എന്നാറെ കാര്യവിചാരകൻ: ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? യജമാനൻ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽ നിന്നു എന്നെ നീക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നു; കിളെപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല; ഇരപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ നാണിക്കുന്നു.

English: I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

Malayalam: എന്നെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിയാൽ അവർ എന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതു എന്തു എന്നു എനിക്കു അറിയാം എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owe you unto my lord?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ യജമാനന്റെ കടക്കാരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തനെ വരുത്തി ഒന്നാമത്തവനോടു: നീ യജമാനന്നു എത്ര കടംപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.

Malayalam: നൂറു കുടം എണ്ണ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ കൈച്ചീട്ടു വാങ്ങി വേഗം ഇരുന്നു അമ്പതു എന്നു എഴുതുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said he to another, And how much owe you? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and write fourscore.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ ശേഷം മറ്റൊരുത്തനോടു: നീ എത്ര കടം പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. നൂറു പറ കോതമ്പു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവനോടു: നിന്റെ കൈച്ചീട്ടു വാങ്ങി എണ്പതു എന്നു എഴുതുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

Malayalam: ഈ അനീതിയുള്ള കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു യജമാനൻ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തി; വെളിച്ചമക്കളെക്കാൾ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ തലമുറയിൽ ബുദ്ധിയേറിയവരല്ലോ.

English: And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when all of you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

Malayalam: അനീതിയുള്ള മമ്മോനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. അതു ഇല്ലാതെയാകുമ്പോൾ അവർ നിത്യകൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ നിങ്ങളെ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ ഇടയാകും.

English: He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Malayalam: അത്യല്പത്തിൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായവൻ അധികത്തിലും വിശ്വസ്തൻ; അത്യല്പത്തിൽ നീതികെട്ടവൻ അധികത്തിലും നീതി കെട്ടവൻ.

English: If therefore all of you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ അനീതിയുള്ള മമ്മോനിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ സത്യമായതു നിങ്ങളെ ആർ ഭരമേല്പിക്കും?

English: And if all of you have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

Malayalam: അന്യമായതിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്വന്തമായതു ആർ തരും?

English: No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. All of you cannot serve God and mammon.

Malayalam: രണ്ടു യജമാനന്മാരെ സേവിപ്പാൻ ഒരു ഭൃത്യന്നും കഴികയില്ല; അവൻ ഒരുവനെ പകെച്ചു മറ്റവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരുത്തനോടു പറ്റിച്ചേർന്നു മറ്റവനെ നിരസിക്കും. നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവത്തെയും മമ്മോനെയും സേവിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.

English: And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

Malayalam: ഇതൊക്കെയും ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹികളായ പരീശന്മാർ കേട്ടു അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto them, All of you are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതീകരിക്കുന്നവർ ആകുന്നു; ദൈവമോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നു; മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉന്നതമായതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പത്രേ.

English: The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.

Malayalam: ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും കാലം യോഹന്നാൻ വരെ ആയിരുന്നു; അന്നുമുതൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ സുവിശേഷിച്ചുവരുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും ബലാൽക്കാരേണ അതിൽ കടപ്പാൻ നോക്കുന്നു.

English: And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Malayalam: ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഒരു പുള്ളി വീണുപോകുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതു എളുപ്പം.

English: Whosoever puts away his wife, and marries another, commits adultery: and whosoever marries her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.

Malayalam: ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഭർത്താവു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

Malayalam: ധനവാനായോരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രവും പട്ടും ധരിച്ചു ദിനമ്പ്രതി ആഡംബരത്തോടെ സുഖിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

Malayalam: ലാസർ എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു ദരിദ്രൻ വ്രണം നിറഞ്ഞവനായി അവന്റെ പടിപ്പുരക്കൽ കിടന്നു

English: And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Malayalam: ധനവാന്റെ മേശയിൽ നിന്നു വീഴുന്നതു തിന്നു വിശപ്പടക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു; നായ്ക്കളും വന്നു അവന്റെ വ്രണം നക്കും.

English: And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Malayalam: ആ ദരിദ്രൻ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ദൂതന്മാർ അവനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മടിയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

English: And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham far off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Malayalam: ധനവാനും മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു; പാതാളത്തിൽ യാതന അനുഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ മേലോട്ടു നോക്കി ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിനെയും അവന്റെ മടിയിൽ ലാസരിനെയും കണ്ടു:

English: And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാംപിതാവേ, എന്നോടു കനിവുണ്ടാകേണമേ; ലാസർ വിരലിന്റെ അറ്റം വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുക്കി എന്റെ നാവിനെ തണുപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ അയക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ ഈ ജ്വാലയിൽ കിടന്നു വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം: മകനേ, നിന്റെ ആയുസ്സിൽ നീ നന്മയും ലാസർ അവ്വണ്ണം തിന്മയും പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു ഓർക്ക; ഇപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഇവിടെ ആശ്വസിക്കുന്നു: നീയോ വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു.

English: And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from behind to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Malayalam: അത്രയുമല്ല ഞങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും നടുവെ വലിയോരു പിളർപ്പുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവിടെ നിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നുവരുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവർക്കു കഴിവില്ല; അവിടെനിന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നു വരുവാനും പാടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then he said, I pray you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house:

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: എന്നാൽ പിതാവേ, അവനെ എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ അയക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു;

English: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു അഞ്ചു സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടു; അവരും ഈ യാതനാസ്ഥലത്തു വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ അവരോടു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Abraham says unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം അവനോടു: അവർക്കു മോശെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവരുടെ വാക്കു അവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: അല്ലല്ല, അബ്രാഹാം പിതാവേ, മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവർ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവനോടു: അവർ മോശെയുടെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും വാക്കു കേൾക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ചെന്നാലും വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
