Job 34

English: Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

Malayalam: എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: Hear my words, O all of you wise men; and give ear unto me, all of you that have knowledge.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനികളേ, എന്റെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ; വിദ്വാന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിൻ.

English: For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes food.

Malayalam: അണ്ണാകൂ ആഹാരത്തെ രുചിനോക്കുന്നു; ചെവിയോ വചനങ്ങളെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു;

English: Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

Malayalam: ന്യായമായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം; നന്മയായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തന്നേ ആലോചിച്ചറിയാം.

English: For Job has said, I am righteous: and God has taken away my judgment.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നീതിമാൻ, ദൈവം എന്റെ ന്യായം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നെതിരെ ഞാൻ ഭോഷ്കു പറയേണമോ?

English: Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

Malayalam: ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടും എന്റെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

English: What man is like Job, who drinks up scorning like water?

Malayalam: ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ ഒരാളുണ്ടോ? അവൻ പരിഹാസത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ കുടിക്കുന്നു;

English: Which goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men.

Malayalam: അവൻ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരോടു കൂട്ടുകൂടുന്നു; ദുർജ്ജനങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

English: For he has said, It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

Malayalam: ദൈവത്തോടു രഞ്ജനയായിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യന്നു പ്രയോജനമില്ലെന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Therefore hearken unto me all of you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു വിവേകികളേ, കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ; ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടതയോ സർവ്വശക്തൻ നീതികേടോ ഒരിക്കലും ചെയ്കയില്ല.

English: For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

Malayalam: അവൻ മനുഷ്യന്നു അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും; ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കും.

English: Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിക്കയില്ല നിശ്ചയം; സർവ്വശക്തൻ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളകയുമില്ല.

English: Who has given him a charge over the earth? or who has disposed the whole world?

Malayalam: ഭൂമിയെ അവങ്കൽ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചതാർ? ഭൂമണ്ഡലമാകെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാർ?

English: If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ മാത്രം ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചെങ്കിൽ തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും ശ്വാസത്തെയും മടക്കി എടുത്തെങ്കിൽ

English: All flesh shall perish together, and man shall return unto dust.

Malayalam: സകലജഡവും ഒരുപോലെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; മനുഷ്യൻ പൊടിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചേരും.

English: If now you have understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

Malayalam: നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇതു കേട്ടുകൊൾക; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾക;

English: Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that is most just?

Malayalam: ന്യായത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നവൻ ഭരിക്കുമോ? നീതിമാനും ബലവാനുമായവനെ നീ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുമോ?

English: Is it fit to say to a king, You are wicked? and to princes, All of you are ungodly?

Malayalam: രാജാവിനോടു: നീ വഷളൻ എന്നും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ എന്നും പറയുമോ?

English: How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

Malayalam: അവൻ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പക്ഷം എടുക്കുന്നില്ല; ദരിദ്രനെക്കാൾ ധനവാനെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവരെല്ലാവരും തൃക്കൈയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ.

English: In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

Malayalam: പെട്ടെന്നു അർദ്ധരാത്രിയിൽ തന്നേ അവർ മരിക്കുന്നു; ജനം കുലുങ്ങി ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു; കൈ തൊടാതെ ബലശാലികൾ നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.

English: For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his activities.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴികളിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നടപ്പു ഒക്കെയും അവൻ കാണുന്നു.

English: There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർക്കു ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ഇരുട്ടുമില്ല അന്ധതമസ്സുമില്ല.

English: For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യൻ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന്നു ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ അവനിൽ അധികം ദൃഷ്ടിവെപ്പാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല.

English: He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their position.

Malayalam: വിചാരണ ചെയ്യാതെ അവൻ ബലശാലികളെ തകർത്തുകളയുന്നു; അവർക്കു പകരം വേറെ ആളുകളെ നിയമിക്കുന്നു.

English: Therefore he knows their works, and he overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അവൻ അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയുന്നു; രാത്രിയിൽ അവരെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവർ തകർന്നുപോകുന്നു.

English: He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

Malayalam: കാണികൾ കൂടുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു അവൻ അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

English: Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

Malayalam: അവർ, എളിയവരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തുവാനും പീഡിതന്മാരുടെ നിലവിളി അവൻ കേൾപ്പാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

English: So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he hears the cry of the afflicted.

Malayalam: അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പിന്മാറിക്കളകയും അവന്റെ വഴികളെ ഗണ്യമാക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

English: When he gives quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hides his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

Malayalam: വഷളനായ മനുഷ്യൻ വാഴാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ജനത്തെ കുടുക്കുവാൻ ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

English: That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

Malayalam: അവൻ സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയാൽ ആർ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും? ഒരു ജാതിക്കായാലും ഒരാൾക്കായാലും അവൻ മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാൽ ആർ അവനെ കാണും?

English: Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ സഹിച്ചു; ഞാൻ ഇനി കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയില്ല;

English: That which I see not teach you me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കാണാത്തതു എന്നെ പഠിപ്പിക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഇനി ചെയ്കയില്ല എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

English: Should it be according to your mind? he will recompense it, whether you refuse, or whether you choose; and not I: therefore speak what you know.

Malayalam: നീ മുഷിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ പകരം ചെയ്യേണമോ? ഞാനല്ല, നീ തന്നേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലോ; ആകയാൽ നീ അറിയുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊൾക.

English: Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

Malayalam: ഇയ്യോബ് അറിവില്ലാതെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കുകളിലും ജ്ഞാനമില്ല എന്നു വിവേകമുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരും

English: Job has spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

Malayalam: എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുന്ന ഏതു ജ്ഞാനിയും എന്നോടു പറയും.

English: My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

Malayalam: ഇയ്യോബ് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പ്രതിവാദിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവനെ ആദിയോടന്തം പരിശോധിച്ചാൽ കൊള്ളാം.

English: For he adds rebellion unto his sin, he claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ പാപത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചേർക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നമ്മുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കൈ കൊട്ടുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വാക്കു വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
