Job 20

English: Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

Malayalam: അതിന്നു നയമാത്യനായ സോഫർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.

Malayalam: ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ എന്റെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ പൊങ്ങിവരുന്നു. എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ തത്രപ്പാടു ഹേതുവായിട്ടു തന്നേ.

English: I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causes me to answer.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു ലജ്ജാകരമായ ശാസന ഞാൻ കേട്ടു; എന്നാൽ ആത്മാവു എന്റെ വിവേകത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നു.

English: Know you not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായതുമുതൽ പുരാതനമായ വസ്തുത നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

English: That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ജയഘോഷം താൽക്കാലികമത്രെ; വഷളന്റെ സന്തോഷം ക്ഷണനേരത്തേക്കേയുള്ളു.

English: Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മഹിമ ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയർന്നാലും അവന്റെ തല മേഘങ്ങളോളം എത്തിയാലും

English: Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

Malayalam: അവൻ സ്വന്തമലംപോലെ എന്നേക്കും നശിക്കും; അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളവർ അവൻ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.

English: He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

Malayalam: അവൻ സ്വപ്നംപോലെ പറന്നുപോകും. അവനെ പിന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; അവൻ രാത്രിദർശനംപോലെ പാറിപ്പോകും.

English: The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

Malayalam: അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള കണ്ണു ഇനി അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല; അവന്റെ ഇടം ഇനി അവനെ ദർശിക്കയുമില്ല.

English: His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മക്കൾ ദരിദ്രന്മാരോടു കൃപ യാചിക്കും; അവന്റെ കൈ തന്നേ അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും.

English: His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ യൌവനം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ അവനോടുകൂടെ പൊടിയിൽ കിടക്കും.

English: Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെ വായിൽ മധുരിച്ചാലും അവൻ അതു നാവിൻ കീഴെ മറെച്ചുവെച്ചാലും

English: Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

Malayalam: അതിനെ വിടാതെ പിടിച്ചു വായ്ക്കകത്തു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചാലും

English: Yet his food in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ആഹാരം അവന്റെ കുടലിൽ പരിണമിച്ചു അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ സർപ്പവിഷമായിത്തീരും.

English: He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

Malayalam: അവൻ സമ്പത്തു വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അതു വീണ്ടും ഛർദ്ദിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ദൈവം അതു അവന്റെ വയറ്റിൽനിന്നു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളയും.

English: He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.

Malayalam: അവൻ സർപ്പവിഷം നുകരും; അണലിയുടെ നാവു അവനെ കൊല്ലും.

English: He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

Malayalam: തേനും പാൽപാടയും ഒഴുകുന്ന തോടുകളെയും നദികളെയും അവൻ കണ്ടു രസിക്കയില്ല.

English: That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.

Malayalam: തന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം അവൻ അനുഭവിക്കാതെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും; താൻ നേടിയ വസ്തുവകെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം സന്തോഷിക്കയുമില്ല.

English: Because he has oppressed and has forsaken the poor; because he has violently taken away an house which he built not;

Malayalam: അവൻ ദരിദ്രന്മാരെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചുപേക്ഷിച്ചു; താൻ പണിയാത്ത വീടു അപഹരിച്ചു.

English: Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ കൊതിക്കു പതംവരായ്കയാൽ അവൻ തന്റെ മനോഹരധനത്തോടുകൂടെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

English: There shall none of his food be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.

Malayalam: അവൻ തിന്നുകളയാതെ ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല.

English: In the fullness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ പൂർണ്ണതയിൽ അവന്നു ഞെരുക്കം ഉണ്ടാകും; അരിഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൈ ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ മേൽ വരും.

English: When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.

Malayalam: അവൻ വയറു നിറെക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ ദൈവം തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം അവന്റെ മേൽ അയക്കും; അവൻ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു അവന്റെ മേൽ വർഷിപ്പിക്കും.

English: He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഇരിമ്പായുധം ഒഴിഞ്ഞോടും; താമ്രചാപം അവനിൽ അസ്ത്രം തറെപ്പിക്കും.

English: It is drawn, and comes out of the body; yea, the glittering sword comes out of his gall: terrors are upon him.

Malayalam: അവൻ പറിച്ചിട്ടു അതു അവന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറത്തുവരുന്നു. മിന്നുന്ന മുന അവന്റെ പിത്തത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ഘോരത്വങ്ങൾ അവന്റെമേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.

Malayalam: അന്ധകാരമൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ നിക്ഷേപമായി സംഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും ഊതാത്ത തീക്കു അവൻ ഇരയാകും; അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിനെ അതു ദഹിപ്പിക്കും;

English: The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.

Malayalam: ആകാശം അവന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും ഭൂമി അവനോടു എതിർത്തുനില്ക്കും.

English: The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ വരവു പോയ്പോകും; അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ അതു ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും.

English: This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.

Malayalam: ഇതു ദുഷ്ടന്നു ദൈവം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഓഹരിയും ദൈവം അവന്നു നിയമിച്ച അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു.
