Genesis 31

English: And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob has taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's has he got all this glory.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്നുള്ളതൊക്കെയും യാക്കോബ് എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ വകകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ഈ ധനം ഒക്കെയും സമ്പാദിച്ചു എന്നു ലാബാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകളെ അവൻ കേട്ടു.

English: And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബ് ലാബാന്റെ മുഖത്തു നോക്കിയാറെ അതു തന്റെ നേരെ മുമ്പെ ഇരുന്നതു പോലെ അല്ല എന്നു കണ്ടു.

English: And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of your fathers, and to your kindred; and I will be with you.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനോടു: നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കും നിന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കും മടങ്ങിപ്പോക; ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

English: And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,

Malayalam: യാക്കോബ് ആളയച്ചു റാഹേലിനേയും ലേയയെയും വയലിൽ തന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me.

Malayalam: അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ മുഖം എന്റെ നേരെ മുമ്പെപ്പോലെ അല്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവം എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And all of you know that with all my power I have served your father.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനെ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സർവ്വബലത്തോടും കൂടെ സേവിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നെ അറിയാമല്ലോ.

English: And your father has deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനോ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം മാറ്റി; എങ്കിലും എന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ദൈവം അവനെ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല.

English: If he said thus, The speckled shall be your wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The striped with bands shall be your hire; then bare all the cattle striped with bands.

Malayalam: പുള്ളിയുള്ളവ നിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ കൂട്ടമൊക്കെയും പുള്ളിയുള്ള കുട്ടികളെ പെറ്റു; വരയുള്ളവ നിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ കൂട്ടമൊക്കെയും വരയുള്ള കുട്ടികളെ പെറ്റു.

English: Thus God has taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ എടുത്തു എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were striped with bands, speckled, and greyed.

Malayalam: ആടുകൾ ചനയേല്ക്കുന്ന കാലത്തു ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ ആടുകളിന്മേൽ കയറുന്ന മുട്ടാടുകൾ വരയും പുള്ളിയും മറുവും ഉള്ളവ എന്നു കണ്ടു.

English: And the angel of God spoke unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.

Malayalam: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൂതൻ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ എന്നോടു: യാക്കോബേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു; ഞാൻ ഇതാ, എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Lift up now yours eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are striped with bands, speckled, and greyed: for I have seen all that Laban does unto you.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: നീ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കുക; ആടുകളുടെ മേൽ കയറുന്ന മുട്ടാടുകൾ ഒക്കെയും വരയും പുള്ളിയും മറുവുമുള്ളവയല്ലോ; ലാബാൻ നിന്നോടു ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar, and where you vowed a vow unto me: now arise, get you out from this land, and return unto the land of your kindred.

Malayalam: നീ തൂണിനെ അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്കയും എന്നോടു നേർച്ചനേരുകയും ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ബേഥേലിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു ഞാൻ; ആകയാൽ നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റ, ഈ ദേശംവിട്ടു നിന്റെ ജന്മദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?

Malayalam: റാഹേലും ലേയയും അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഇനി ഓഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഉണ്ടോ?

English: Are we not counted of him strangers? for he has sold us, and has quite devoured also our money.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഞങ്ങളെ അന്യരായിട്ടല്ലയോ വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു? ഞങ്ങളെ വിറ്റു വിലയും എല്ലാം തിന്നു കളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

English: For all the riches which God has taken from our father, that is ours, and our children's: now then, whatsoever God has said unto you, do.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ പക്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞ സമ്പത്തൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾക്കും ഞങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾക്കും ഉള്ളതല്ലോ; ആകയാൽ ദൈവം നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊൾക.

English: Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels;

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യാക്കോബ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു തന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി.

English: And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had got, the cattle of his getting, which he had got in Padanaram, in order to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.

Malayalam: തന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളെ ഒക്കെയും താൻ സമ്പാദിച്ച സമ്പത്തു ഒക്കെയും താൻ പദ്ദൻ-അരാമിൽ സമ്പാദിച്ച മൃഗസമ്പത്തു ഒക്കെയും ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടു കനാൻ ദേശത്തു തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുവാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

English: And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's.

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ തന്റെ ആടുകളെ രോമം കത്രിപ്പാൻ പോയിരുന്നു; റാഹേൽ തന്റെ അപ്പന്നുള്ള ഗൃഹവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു.

English: And Jacob stole away unexpectedly to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.

Malayalam: താൻ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നതു യാക്കോബ് അരാമ്യനായ ലാബാനോടു അറിയിക്കായ്കയാൽ അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചായിരുന്നു പോയതു.

English: So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ തനിക്കുള്ള സകലവുമായി ഓടിപ്പോയി; അവൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു നദി കടന്നു. ഗിലെയാദ് പർവ്വതത്തിന്നു നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു.

English: And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബ് ഓടിപ്പോയി എന്നു ലാബാന്നു മൂന്നാം ദിവസം അറിവു കിട്ടി.

English: And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ഏഴു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു ഗിലെയാദ് പർവ്വതത്തിൽ അവനോടു ഒപ്പം എത്തി.

English: And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that you speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദൈവം രാത്രി സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ അരാമ്യനായ ലാബാന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു: നീ യാക്കോബിനോടു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും പറയാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ യാക്കോബിനോടു ഒപ്പം എത്തി; യാക്കോബ് പർവ്വതത്തിൽ കൂടാരം അടിച്ചിരുന്നു; ലാബാനും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുമായി ഗിലെയാദ് പർവ്വതത്തിൽ കൂടാരം അടിച്ചു.

English: And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done, that you have stolen away unexpectedly to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ യാക്കോബിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നീ എന്നെ ഒളിച്ചു പോയ്ക്കളകയും എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ വാളാൽ പിടിച്ചവരെപ്പോലെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തു?

English: Wherefore did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and did not tell me, that I might have sent you away with delight, and with songs, with timbrel, and with harp?

Malayalam: നീ എന്നെ തോല്പിച്ചു രഹസ്യമായിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോകയും ഞാൻ സന്തോഷത്തോടും സംഗീതത്തോടും മുരജത്തോടും വീണയോടുംകൂടെ നിന്നെ അയപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ അറിയിക്കാതിരിക്കയും

English: And have not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? you have now done foolishly in so doing.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ചുംബിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു ഇടതരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? ഭോഷത്വമാകുന്നു നീ ചെയ്തതു.

English: It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spoke unto me last night, saying, Take you heed that you speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്‍വാൻ എന്റെ പക്കൽ ശക്തിയുണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും നീ യാക്കോബിനോടു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവം കഴിഞ്ഞ രാത്രി എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And now, though you would essentially be gone, because you sore longed after your father's house, yet wherefore have you stolen my gods?

Malayalam: ആകട്ടെ, നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്നായുള്ള അതിവാഞ്ഛയാൽ നീ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്നു; എന്നാൽ എന്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചതു എന്തിന്നു?

English: And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Possibly you would take by force your daughters from me.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബ് ലാബാനോടു: പക്ഷെ നിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ നീ എന്റെ പക്കൽനിന്നു അപഹരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

English: With whomsoever you find your gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern you what is yours with me, and take it to you. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നീ ആരുടെ പക്കൽ എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ കണ്ടാൽ അവൻ ജീവനോടിരിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ പക്കൽ നിന്റെ വക വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു നീ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർ കാൺകെ നോക്കി എടുക്ക എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. റാഹേൽ അവയെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചതു യാക്കോബ് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

English: And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ ലാബാൻ യാക്കോബിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിലും ലേയയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിലും രണ്ടു ദാസിമാരുടെ കൂടാരത്തിലും ചെന്നു നോക്കി, ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല താനും; അവൻ ലേയയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി റാഹേലിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു.

English: Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ റാഹേൽ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ എടുത്തു ഒട്ടകക്കോപ്പിനകത്തു ഇട്ടു അതിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു. ലാബാൻ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും തിരഞ്ഞു നോക്കി, കണ്ടില്ല താനും.

English: And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before you; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched but found not the images.

Malayalam: അവൾ അപ്പനോടു: യജമാനൻ കോപിക്കരുതേ; നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എഴുന്നേല്പാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിവില്ല; സ്ത്രീകൾക്കുള്ള മുറ എനിക്കു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ശോധന കഴിച്ചു; ഗൃഹവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ കണ്ടില്ല താനും.

English: And Jacob was angry, and find fault with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued after me?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യാക്കോബിന്നു കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു, അവൻ ലാബാനോടു വാദിച്ചു. യാക്കോബ് ലാബാനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ കുറ്റം എന്തു? നീ ഇത്ര ഉഗ്രതയോടെ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഓടി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ തെറ്റു എന്തു?

English: Whereas you have searched all my stuff, what have you found of all your household stuff? set it here before my brethren and your brethren, that they may judge between us both.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ സാമാനം ഒക്കെയും ശോധന കഴിച്ചുവല്ലോ; നിന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ സാമാനം വല്ലതും കണ്ടുവോ? എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും മുമ്പാകെ ഇവിടെ വെക്കുക; അവർ നമുക്കിരുവർക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ വിധിക്കട്ടെ.

English: This twenty years have I been with you; your ewes and your she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of your flock have I not eaten.

Malayalam: ഈ ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പാർത്തു; നിന്റെ ചെമ്മരിയാടുകൾക്കും കോലാടുകൾക്കും ചനനാശം വന്നിട്ടില്ല. നിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെ ഞാൻ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല.

English: That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto you; I bare the loss of it; of my hand did you require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടമൃഗം കടിച്ചുകീറിയതിനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാതെ ഞാൻ അതിന്നു ഉത്തരവാദിയായിരുന്നു; പകൽ കളവു പോയതിനെയും രാത്രി കളവുപോയതിനെയും നീ എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep departed from mine eyes.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു എന്റെ വസ്തുത; പകൽ വെയിൽകൊണ്ടും രാത്രി ശീതംകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ ക്ഷയിച്ചു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഉറക്കമില്ലാതെയായി.

English: Thus have I been twenty years in your house; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your cattle: and you have changed my wages ten times.

Malayalam: ഈ ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ പാർത്തു; പതിന്നാലു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാർക്കായിട്ടും ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിന്നായിട്ടും നിന്നെ സേവിച്ചു; പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം നീ എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം മാറ്റി.

English: Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely you had sent me away now empty. God has seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked you last night.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവമായി അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ഭയവുമായവൻ എനിക്കു ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്നെ വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രയത്നവും കണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞ രാത്രി ന്യായം വിധിച്ചു.

English: And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that you see is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born?

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ യാക്കോബിനോടു: പുത്രിമാർ എന്റെ പുത്രിമാർ, മക്കൾ എന്റെ മക്കൾ, ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടം എന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടം; നീ കാണുന്നതൊക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതു തന്നേ; ഈ എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരോടോ അവർ പ്രസവിച്ച മക്കളോടോ ഞാൻ ഇന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യും?

English: Now therefore come you, let us make a covenant, I and you; and let it be for a witness between me and you.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ വരിക, ഞാനും നീയും തമ്മിൽ ഒരു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്ക; അതു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യാക്കോബ് ഒരു കല്ലു എടുത്തു തൂണായി നിർത്തി.

English: And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap.

Malayalam: കല്ലു കൂട്ടുവിൻ എന്നു യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ കല്ലു എടുത്തു ഒരു കൂമ്പാരമുണ്ടാക്കി; കൂമ്പാരത്തിന്മേൽ വെച്ചു അവർ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു.

English: And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ അതിന്നു യെഗർ-സഹദൂഥാ (സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ കൂമ്പാരം) എന്നു പേരിട്ടു; യാക്കോബ് അതിന്നു ഗലേദ് (സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ കൂമ്പാരം) എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and you this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;

Malayalam: ഈ കൂമ്പാരം ഇന്നു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ സാക്ഷി എന്നു ലാബാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അതുകൊണ്ടു അതിന്നു ഗലേദ് എന്നും മിസ്പാ (കാവൽ മാടം) എന്നും പോരായി:

English: And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another.

Malayalam: നാം തമ്മിൽ അകന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ എനിക്കും നിനക്കും നടുവെ കാവലായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

English: If you shall afflict my daughters, or if you shall take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness between me and you.

English: And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast between me and you:

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ പിന്നെയും യാക്കോബിനോടു: ഇതാ, ഈ കൂമ്പാരം; ഇതാ, എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ നിർത്തിയ തൂൺ.

English: This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and that you shall not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.

Malayalam: ദോഷത്തിന്നായി ഞാൻ ഈ കൂമ്പാരം കടന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരാതെയും നീ ഈ കൂമ്പാരവും ഈ തൂണും കടന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ കൂമ്പാരവും സാക്ഷി, ഈ തൂണും സാക്ഷി.

English: The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us. And Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും നാഹോരിന്റെ ദൈവവും അവരുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവവുമായവൻ നമുക്കു മദ്ധ്യേ വിധിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പിതാവായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ഭയമായവനെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്തു.

English: Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ യാക്കോബ് പർവ്വതത്തിൽ യാഗം അർപ്പിച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു; അവർ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു പർവ്വതത്തിൽ രാപാർത്തു.

English: And early in the morning Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them: and Laban departed, and returned unto his place.

Malayalam: ലാബാൻ അതി കാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ചുംബിക്കയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്തശേഷം അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
