Genesis 22

English: And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ ശേഷം ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചതു എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ: അബ്രാഹാമേ, എന്നു വിളിച്ചതിന്നു: ഞാൻ ഇതാ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Take now your son, yours only son Isaac, whom you love, and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell you of.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: നിന്റെ മകനെ, നീ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ തന്നേ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു മോരിയാദേശത്തു ചെന്നു, അവിടെ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മലയിൽ അവനെ ഹോമയാഗം കഴിക്ക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

English: And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു കഴുതെക്കു കോപ്പിട്ടു കെട്ടി ബാല്യക്കാരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരെയും തന്റെ മകൻ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെയും കൂട്ടി ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നു വിറകു കീറി എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു, ദൈവം തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോയി.

English: Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place far off.

Malayalam: മൂന്നാം ദിവസം അബ്രാഹാം നോക്കി ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു ആ സ്ഥലം കണ്ടു.

English: And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide all of you here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം ബാല്യക്കാരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ കഴുതയുമായി ഇവിടെ ഇരിപ്പിൻ; ഞാനും ബാലനും അവിടത്തോളം ചെന്നു ആരാധന കഴിച്ചു മടങ്ങിവരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നുള്ള വിറകു എടുത്തു തന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ചുമലിൽ വെച്ചു; തീയും കത്തിയും താൻ എടുത്തു; ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു നടന്നു.

English: And Isaac spoke unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യിസ്ഹാക്ക് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു: അപ്പാ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു അവൻ: എന്താകുന്നു മകനേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. തീയും വിറകുമുണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നു ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടി എവിടെ എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Malayalam: ദൈവം തനിക്കു ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെ നോക്കിക്കൊള്ളും, മകനേ, എന്നു അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു നടന്നു.

English: And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

Malayalam: ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു അവർ എത്തി; അബ്രാഹാം ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു, വിറകു അടുക്കി, തന്റെ മകൻ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ കെട്ടി യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ വിറകിന്മീതെ കിടത്തി.

English: And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അബ്രാഹാം കൈ നീട്ടി തന്റെ മകനെ അറുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കത്തി എടുത്തു.

English: And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു: അബ്രാഹാമേ, അബ്രാഹാമേ, എന്നു വിളിച്ചു; ഞാൻ ഇതാ, എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Lay not yours hand upon the lad, neither do you any thing unto him: for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, yours only son from me.

Malayalam: ബാലന്റെ മേൽ കൈവെക്കരുതു; അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചെയ്യരുതു; നിന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ മകനെ തരുവാൻ നീ മടിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു നീ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

English: And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the position of his son.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം തലപൊക്കി നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ പിമ്പുറത്തു ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റൻ കൊമ്പു കാട്ടിൽ പിടിപെട്ടു കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അബ്രാഹാം ചെന്നു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെ പിടിച്ചു തന്റെ മകന്നു പകരം ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

English: And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു യഹോവ-യിരേ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു. യഹോവയുടെ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ അവൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകും എന്നു ഇന്നുവരെയും പറഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു.

English: And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ രണ്ടാമതും ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു വിളിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു:

English: And said, By myself have I sworn, says the LORD, for because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, yours only son:

Malayalam: നീ ഈ കാര്യം ചെയ്തു, നിന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ മകനെ തരുവാൻ മടിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു

English: That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഐശ്വര്യമായി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾപോലെയും കടൽക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെയും അത്യന്തം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ സന്തതി ശത്രുക്കളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ കൈവശമാക്കും.

English: And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ വാക്കു അനുസരിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ സന്തതി മുഖാന്തരം ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാൻ എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നേ സത്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അബ്രാഹാം ബാല്യക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവർ ഒന്നിച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ബേർ--ശേബയിലേക്കു പോന്നു; അബ്രാഹാം ബേർ-ശേബയിൽ പാർത്തു.

English: And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she has also born children unto your brother Nahor;

Malayalam: അനന്തരം മിൽക്കയും നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ നാഹോരിന്നു മക്കളെ പ്രസവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു വർത്തമാനം കിട്ടി.

English: Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,

Malayalam: അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ: ആദ്യജാതൻ ഊസ്, അവന്റെ അനുജൻ ബൂസ്, അരാമിന്റെ പിതാവായ കെമൂവേൽ,

English: And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.

Malayalam: കേശെദ്, ഹസോ, പിൽദാശ്, യിദലാഫ്, ബെഥൂവേൽ.

English: And Bethuel brings forth Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.

Malayalam: ബെഥൂവേൽ റിബെക്കയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. ഈ എട്ടു പേരെ മിൽക്കാ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ നാഹോരിന്നു പ്രസവിച്ചു.

English: And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടി രെയൂമാ എന്നവളും തേബഹ്, ഗഹാം, തഹശ്, മാഖാ എന്നിവരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.
