Genesis 21

English: And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യഹോവ താൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ സാറയെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു; താൻ വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തിരുന്നതു യഹോവ സാറെക്കു നിവൃത്തിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

English: For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിൽ ദൈവം അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന അവധിക്കു സാറാ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

English: And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

Malayalam: സാറാ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു പ്രസവിച്ച മകന്നു അവൻ യിസ്ഹാക്ക് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

Malayalam: ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ തന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നു എട്ടാം ദിവസം പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിച്ചു.

English: And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

Malayalam: തന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്ക് ജനിച്ചപ്പോൾ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു നൂറു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

English: And Sarah said, God has made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

Malayalam: ദൈവം എനിക്കു ചിരിയുണ്ടാക്കി; കേൾക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി ചിരിക്കും എന്നു സാറാ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

Malayalam: സാറാ മക്കൾക്കു മുലകൊടുക്കുമെന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു ആർ പറയുമായിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിലല്ലോ ഞാൻ ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചതു എന്നും അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

Malayalam: പൈതൽ വളർന്നു മുലകുടി മാറി; യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ മുലകുടി മാറിയ നാളിൽ അബ്രാഹാം ഒരു വലിയ വിരുന്നു കഴിച്ചു.

English: And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീമ്യദാസി ഹാഗാർ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു പ്രസവിച്ച മകൻ പരിഹാസി എന്നു സാറാ കണ്ടു അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു:

English: Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Malayalam: ഈ ദാസിയെയുംമകനെയും പുറത്താക്കിക്കളക; ഈ ദാസിയുടെ മകൻ എന്റെ മകൻ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു കൂടെ അവകാശിയാകരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

Malayalam: തന്റെ മകൻ നിമിത്തം ഈ കാര്യം അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു അനിഷ്ടമായി.

English: And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in your sight because of the lad, and because of your bondwoman; in all that Sarah has said unto you, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall your seed be called.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു: ബാലന്റെ നിമിത്തവും ദാസിയുടെ നിമിത്തവും നിനക്കു അനിഷ്ടം തോന്നരുതു; സാറാ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞതിലൊക്കെയുംഅവളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്ക; യിസ്ഹാക്കിൽനിന്നുള്ളവരല്ലോ നിന്റെ സാക്ഷാൽ സന്തതിയെന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു.

English: And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is your seed.

Malayalam: ദാസിയുടെമകനെയും ഞാൻ ഒരു ജാതിയാക്കും; അവൻ നിന്റെ സന്തതിയല്ലോ എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

English: And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു അപ്പവും ഒരു തുരുത്തി വെള്ളവും എടുത്തു ഹാഗാരിന്റെ തോളിൽവെച്ചു, കുട്ടിയെയും കൊടുത്തു അവളെ അയച്ചു; അവൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി ബേർ-ശേബ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ഉഴന്നു നടന്നു.

English: And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

Malayalam: തുരുത്തിയിലെ വെള്ളം ചെലവായശേഷം അവൾ കുട്ടിയെ ഒരു കുറുങ്കാട്ടിൻ തണലിൽ ഇട്ടു.

English: And she went, and sat her down opposite to him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat opposite to him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

Malayalam: അവൾ പോയി അതിന്നെതിരെ ഒരു അമ്പിൻ പാടു ദൂരത്തു ഇരുന്നു: കുട്ടിയുടെ മരണം എനിക്കു കാണേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എതിരെ ഇരുന്നു ഉറക്കെ കരഞ്ഞു.

English: And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What disturbs you, Hagar? fear not; for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ബാലന്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൂതൻ ആകാശത്തു നിന്നു ഹാഗാരിനെ വിളിച്ചു അവളോടു: ഹാഗാരേ, നിനക്കു എന്തു? നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ബാലൻ ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തുനിന്നു അവന്റെ നിലവിളികേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in yours hand; for I will make him a great nation.

Malayalam: നീ ചെന്നു ബാലനെ താങ്ങി എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചുകൊൾക; ഞാൻ അവനെ ഒരു വലിയ ജാതിയാക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

English: And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

Malayalam: ദൈവം അവളുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു; അവൾ ഒരു നീരുറവു കണ്ടു, ചെന്നു തുരുത്തിയിൽ വെള്ളം നിറച്ചു ബാലനെ കുടിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ബാലനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാർത്തു, മുതിർന്നപ്പോൾ ഒരു വില്ലാളിയായി തീർന്നു.

English: And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: അവൻ പാരാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാർത്തു; അവന്റെ അമ്മ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവന്നു ഒരു ഭാര്യയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spoke unto Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you do:

Malayalam: അക്കാലത്തു അബിമേലെക്കും അവന്റെ സേനാപതിയായ പീക്കോലും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു: നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും ദൈവം നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ടു;

English: Now therefore swear unto me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto you, you shall do unto me, and to the land wherein you have sojourned.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നീ എന്നോടോ എന്റെ സന്തതിയോടോ എന്റെ കുലത്തോടോ വ്യാജം പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാതെ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ദയ കാണിച്ചതുപോലെ നീ എന്നോടും നീ പാർത്തുവരുന്ന ദേശത്തോടും ദയകാണിക്കുമെന്നു ദൈവത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി ഇവിടെവെച്ചു എന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Abraham said, I will swear.

Malayalam: സത്യം ചെയ്യാം എന്നു അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അബീമേലെക്കിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ അപഹരിച്ച കിണർനിമിത്തം അബ്രാഹാം അബീമേലെക്കിനോടു ഭത്സിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Abimelech said, I know not who has done this thing; neither did you tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അബീമേലെക്; ഇക്കാര്യം ചെയ്തതു ആരെന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; നീ എന്നെ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഇന്നല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ടുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അബ്രാഹാം അബീമേലെക്കിന്നു ആടുമാടുകളെ കൊടുത്തു; അവർ ഇരുവരും തമ്മിൽ ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്തു.

English: And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം ഏഴു പെണ്ണാട്ടുകുട്ടികളെ വേറിട്ടു നിർത്തി.

English: And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അബീമേലെക്ക് അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു: നീ വേറിട്ടു നിർത്തിയ ഈ ഏഴു പെണ്ണാട്ടുകുട്ടികൾ എന്തിന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shall you take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have dug this well.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഈ കിണർ കുഴിച്ചു എന്നതിന്നു സാക്ഷിയായി നീ ഈ ഏഴു പെണ്ണാട്ടുകുട്ടികളെ എന്നോടു വാങ്ങേണം എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they swore both of them.

Malayalam: അവർ ഇരുവരും അവിടെവെച്ചു സത്യം ചെയ്ക കൊണ്ടു അവൻ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു ബേർ-ശേബ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ബേർ-ശേബയിൽവെച്ചു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്തു. അബീമേലെക്കും അവന്റെ സേനാപതിയായ പീക്കോലും എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം ബേർ-ശേബയിൽ ഒരു പിചുലവൃക്ഷം നട്ടു, നിത്യദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അവിടെവെച്ചു ആരാധന കഴിച്ചു.

English: And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം കുറേക്കാലം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു.
