Deuteronomy 14

English: All of you are the children of the LORD your God: all of you shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു മക്കൾ ആകുന്നു; മരിച്ചവന്നു വേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളെ മുറിവേല്പിക്കയോ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻകഷണ്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.

English: For you are an holy people unto the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be an exclusive people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ; ഭൂതലത്തിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളിലും വെച്ചു തനിക്കു സ്വന്തജനമായിരിപ്പാൻ യഹോവ നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: You shall not eat any abominable thing.

Malayalam: മ്ളേച്ഛമായതൊന്നിനെയും തിന്നരുതു.

English: These are the beasts which all of you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങൾ ആവിതു:

English: The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.

Malayalam: കാള, ചെമ്മരിയാടു, കോലാടു, കലമാൻ, പുള്ളിമാൻ, കടമാൻ, കാട്ടാടു, ചെറുമാൻ മലയാടു കവരിമാൻ.

English: And every beast that parts the hoof, and cleaves the cleft into two claws, and chews the cud among the beasts, that all of you shall eat.

Malayalam: മൃഗങ്ങളിൽ കുളമ്പു പിളർന്നതും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞതും അയവിറക്കുന്നതുമായ മൃഗത്തെ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിന്നാം.

English: Nevertheless these all of you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അയവിറക്കുന്നവയിലും കുളമ്പു പിളർന്നവയിലും തിന്നരുതാത്തവ ഏവയെന്നാൽ: ഒട്ടകം, മുയൽ, കുഴി മുയൽ; അവ അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളർന്നവയല്ല; അവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

English: And the swine, because it divides the hoof, yet chews not the cud, it is unclean unto you: all of you shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

Malayalam: പന്നി: അതു കുളമ്പു പിളർന്നതെങ്കിലും അയവിറക്കുന്നില്ല; അതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അശുദ്ധം ഇവയുടെ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു; പിണം തൊടുകയും അരുതു.

English: These all of you shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall all of you eat:

Malayalam: വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിലും ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഉള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിന്നാം.

English: And whatsoever has not fins and scales all of you may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഇല്ലാത്തതൊന്നും തിന്നരുതു; അതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

English: Of all clean birds all of you shall eat.

Malayalam: ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലപക്ഷികളെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിന്നാം.

English: But these are they of which all of you shall not eat: the eagle, and the vulture, and the buzzard,

Malayalam: പക്ഷികളിൽ തിന്നരുതാത്തവ: കടൽറാഞ്ചൻ, ചെമ്പരുന്തു, കഴുകൻ,

English: And the vulture, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,

Malayalam: ചെങ്ങാലിപ്പരുന്തു, ഗൃദ്ധ്രം, അതതുവിധം പരുന്തു

English: And every raven after his kind,

Malayalam: അതതുവിധം കാക്ക,

English: And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind,

Malayalam: ഒട്ടകപക്ഷി, പുള്ളു, കടൽക്കാക്ക, അതതുവിധം പ്രാപ്പിടിയൻ,

English: The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

Malayalam: നത്തു, ക്കുമൻ മൂങ്ങാ, വേഴാമ്പൽ,

English: And the pelican, and the carrion vulture, and the cormorant,

Malayalam: കുടുമ്മച്ചാത്തൻ, നീർകാക്ക,

English: And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

Malayalam: പെരുഞാറ, അതതുവിധം കൊകൂ, കുളക്കോഴി, നരിച്ചീർ എന്നിവയാകുന്നു.

English: And every creeping thing that flies is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

Malayalam: ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയെ തിന്നരുതു.

English: But of all clean fowls all of you may eat.

Malayalam: ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള പക്ഷികളെയൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിന്നാം.

English: All of you shall not eat of anything that dies of itself: you shall give it unto the stranger that is in your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it unto an foreigner: for you are an holy people unto the LORD your God. You shall not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

Malayalam: താനേ ചത്ത ഒന്നിനെയും തിന്നരുതു; അതു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശിക്കു തിന്മാൻ കൊടുക്കാം: അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അന്യജാതിക്കാരന്നു വിൽക്കാം; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ. ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെ അതിന്റെ തള്ളയുടെ പാലിൽ പാകം ചെയ്യരുതു.

English: You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed, that the field brings forth year by year.

Malayalam: ആണ്ടുതോറും നിലത്തു വിതെച്ചുണ്ടാകുന്ന എല്ലാവിളവിലും ദശാംശം എടുത്തുവെക്കേണം.

English: And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of your corn, of your wine, and of yours oil, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നീ നിന്റെ ധാന്യത്തിന്റെയും വീഞ്ഞിന്റെയും എണ്ണയുടെയും ദശാംശവും നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളെയും അവന്റെ സന്നിധയിൽവെച്ചു തിന്നേണം.

English: And if the way be too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from you, which the LORD your God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD your God has blessed you:

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം വളരെ അകലെയും അതുകൊണ്ടുപോകുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം വഴി അതിദൂരവുമായിരുന്നാൽ

English: Then shall you turn it into money, and bind up the money in yours hand, and shall go unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose:

Malayalam: അതു വിറ്റു പണമാക്കി പണം കയ്യിൽ എടുത്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.

English: And you shall bestow that money for whatsoever your soul lusts after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever your soul desires: and you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you, and yours household,

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ മാടോ ആടോ വീഞ്ഞോ മദ്യമോ ഇങ്ങനെ നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഏതിനെയും ആ പണം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു തിന്നു നീയും നിന്റെ കുടുംബവും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

English: And the Levite that is within your gates; you shall not forsake him; for he has no part nor inheritance with you.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ലേവ്യനെ മറന്നു കളയരുതു; അവന്നു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഓഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

English: At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of yours increase the same year, and shall lay it up within your gates:

Malayalam: മുമ്മൂന്നു ആണ്ടു കൂടുമ്പോൾ മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ നിനക്കുള്ള വിളവിന്റെ ദശാംശം ഒക്കെയും; വേർതിരിച്ചു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ സംഗ്രഹിക്കേണം.

English: And the Levite, (because he has no part nor inheritance with you,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of yours hand which you do.

Malayalam: നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന സകല പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഓഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലാത്ത ലേവ്യനും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും വന്നു തിന്നു തൃപ്തരാകേണം.
