1 Chronicles 5

English: Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:--അവനല്ലോ ആദ്യജാതൻ; എങ്കിലും അവൻ തന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ശയ്യയെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കു ലഭിച്ചു; വംശാവലി ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശപ്രകാരം എണ്ണുവാനുള്ളതുമല്ല.

English: For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെക്കാൾ പ്രബലനായ്തീർന്നു; അവനിൽ നിന്നു പ്രഭു ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു; ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശമോ യോസേഫിന്നു ലഭിച്ചു--

English: The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹാനോക്ക്, പല്ലൂ, ഹെസ്രോൻ, കർമ്മി.

English: The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,

Malayalam: യോവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അവന്റെ മകൻ ശെമയ്യാവു; അവന്റെ മകൻ ഗോഗ്; അവന്റെ മകൻ ശിമെയി; അവന്റെ മകൻ മീഖാ;

English: Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മകൻ രെയായാവു; അവന്റെ മകൻ ബാൽ;

English: Beerah his son, whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മകൻ ബെയേര; അവനെ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ളത്ത്-പിലേസർ ബദ്ധനാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവൻ രൂബേന്യരിൽ പ്രഭുവായിരുന്നു.

English: And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,

Malayalam: അവരുടെ വംശാവലി തലമുറതലമുറയായി എഴുതിയിരുന്ന പ്രകാരം കുലം കുലമായി അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ആരെന്നാൽ: തലവനായ യയീയേൽ,

English: And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:

Malayalam: സെഖർയ്യാവു, അരോവേരിൽ നെബോവും ബാൽ-മെയോനുംവരെ പാർത്ത ബേല; അവൻ യോവേലിന്റെ മകനായ ശേമയുടെ മകനായ ആസാസിന്റെ മകനായിരുന്നു.

English: And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾ ഗിലെയാദ് ദേശത്തു പെരുകിയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ കിഴക്കോട്ടു ഫ്രാത്ത് നദിമുതൽ മരുഭൂമിവരെ പാർത്തു.

English: And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.

Malayalam: ശൌലിന്റെ കാലത്തു അവർ ഹഗ്രീയരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു; അവർ അവരുടെ കയ്യാൽ പട്ടുപോയശേഷം അവർ ഗിലെയാദിന്നു കിഴക്കു എല്ലാടവും കൂടാരം അടിച്ചു പാർത്തു.

English: And the children of Gad dwelt opposite to them, in the land of Bashan unto Salcah:

Malayalam: ഗാദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവർക്കു എതിരെ ബാശാൻ ദേശത്തു സൽക്കാവരെ പാർത്തു.

English: Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.

Malayalam: തലവനായ യോവേൽ, രണ്ടാമനായ ശാഫാം, യനായി, ബാശാനിലെ ശാഫാത്ത്.

English: And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിലെ സഹോദരന്മാർ: മീഖായേൽ, മെശുല്ലാം, ശേബ, യോരായി, യക്കാൻ, സീയ, ഏബെർ ഇങ്ങനെ ഏഴുപേർ.

English: These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;

Malayalam: ഇവർ ഹൂരിയുടെ മകനായ അബിഹയീലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായിരുന്നു. ഹൂരി യാരോഹയുടെ മകൻ; അവൻ ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മകൻ; അവൻ മീഖായേലിന്റെ മകൻ; അവൻ യെശീശയുടെ മകൻ; അവൻ യഹദോവിന്റെ മകൻ;

English: Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.

Malayalam: അവൻ ബൂസിന്റെ മകൻ; ഗൂനിയുടെ മകനായ അബ്ദീയേലിന്റെ മകൻ അഹി അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിൽ തലവനായിരുന്നു.

English: And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.

Malayalam: അവർ ഗിലെയാദിലെ ബാശാനിലും അതിന്നുൾപ്പെട്ട പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും അവരുടെ അതിരുകളോളം ശാരോനിലെ എല്ലാപുല്പുറങ്ങളിലും പാർത്തു.

English: All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

Malayalam: ഇവരുടെ വംശാവലി ഒക്കെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യോഥാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.

Malayalam: രൂബേന്യരും ഗാദ്യരും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതി ഗോത്രക്കാരും ശൂരന്മാരും വാളും പരിചയും എടുപ്പാനും വില്ലുകുലെച്ചു എയ്‍വാനും പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളവരും യുദ്ധസാമർത്ഥ്യമുള്ളവരുമായ പടച്ചേവകർ നാല്പത്തുനാലായിരത്തെഴുനൂറ്ററുപതു പേരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.

Malayalam: അവർ ഹഗ്രീയരോടും യെതൂർ, നാഫീശ്, നോദാബ് എന്നിവരോടും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു.

English: And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was implored of them; because they put their trust in him.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ നേരെ അവർക്കു സഹായം ലഭിക്കയാൽ ഹഗ്രീയരും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെല്ലാവരും അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനിൽ ആശ്രയം വെച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ടരുളി.

English: And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.

Malayalam: അവൻ അമ്പതിനായിരം ഒട്ടകം, രണ്ടുലക്ഷത്തമ്പതിനായിരം ആടു, രണ്ടായിരം കഴുത എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികളെയും ഒരു ലക്ഷം ആളുകളെയും പിടിച്ചു കെണ്ടുപോയി.

English: For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.

Malayalam: യുദ്ധം ദൈവഹിതത്താൽ ഉണ്ടായതുകൊണ്ടു അധികംപേർ ഹതന്മാരായി വീണു. അവർ പ്രവാസകാലംവരെ അവർക്കു പകരം പാർത്തു.

English: And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.

Malayalam: മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രക്കാർ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു. ബാശാൻ മുതൽ ബാൽ-ഹെർമ്മോനും, സെനീരും, ഹെർമ്മോൻ പർവ്വതവും വരെ പെരുകി പരന്നു.

English: And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളുടെ തലവന്മാരാവിതു: ഏഫെർ, യിശി, എലീയേൽ, അസ്ത്രിയേൽ, യിരെമ്യാവു, ഹോദവ്യാവു, യഹദീയേൽ; ഇവർ ശൂരന്മാരും ശ്രുതിപ്പെട്ടവരും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തു, ദൈവം അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ ദേശത്തെ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരോടു ചേർന്നു പരസംഗമായി നടന്നു.

English: And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ പൂലിന്റെയും അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ തിഗ്ളത്ത്-പിൽനേസരിന്റെയും മനസ്സുണർത്തി; അവൻ രൂബേന്യരെയും ഗാദ്യരെയും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതി ഗോത്രത്തെയും പിടിച്ചു ഹലഹിലേക്കും ഹാബോരിലേക്കും ഹാരയിലേക്കും ഗോസാൻ നദീതീരത്തേക്കും കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവിടെ അവർ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
