Psalms 18

English: I will love you, O LORD, my strength.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ബലമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

English: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Malayalam: യഹോവ എന്റെ ശൈലവും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും എന്റെ ദൈവവും ഞാൻ ശരണമാക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ പരിചയും എന്റെ രക്ഷയായ കൊമ്പും എന്റെ ഗോപുരവും ആകുന്നു.

English: I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Malayalam: സ്തൂത്യനായ യഹോവയെ ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കയും എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

English: The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

Malayalam: മരണപാശങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റി; അഗാധപ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

Malayalam: പാതാളപാശങ്ങൾ എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു; മരണത്തിന്റെ കണികളും എന്നെ തുടർന്നു പിടിച്ചു.

English: In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Malayalam: എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു, എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ തന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്നു എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു; തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ഞാൻ കഴിച്ച പ്രാർത്ഥന അവന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ എത്തി.

English: Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was angry.

Malayalam: ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടിവിറെച്ചു; മലകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഇളകി; അവൻ കോപിക്കയാൽ അവകുലുങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മൂക്കിൽനിന്നു പുക പൊങ്ങി; അവന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു. തീക്കനൽ അവങ്കൽനിന്നു ജ്വലിച്ചു.

English: He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

Malayalam: അവൻ ആകാശം ചായിച്ചിറങ്ങി; കൂരിരുൾ അവന്റെ കാൽക്കീഴുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

Malayalam: അവൻ കെരൂബിനെ വാഹനമാക്കി പറന്നു; അവൻ കാറ്റിന്റെ ചിറകിന്മേലിരുന്നു പറപ്പിച്ചു.

English: He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

Malayalam: അവൻ അന്ധകാരത്തെ തന്റെ മറവും ജലതമസ്സിനെയും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളെയും തനിക്കു ചുറ്റും കൂടാരവുമാക്കി.

English: At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രകാശത്താൽ ആലിപ്പഴവും തീക്കനലും അവന്റെ മേഘങ്ങളിൽകൂടി പൊഴിഞ്ഞു.

English: The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ആകാശത്തിൽ ഇടി മുഴക്കി, അത്യുന്നതൻ തന്റെ നാദം കേൾപ്പിച്ചു, ആലിപ്പഴവും തീക്കനലും പൊഴിഞ്ഞു.

English: Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and humiliated them.

Malayalam: അവൻ അസ്ത്രം എയ്തു അവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു; മിന്നൽ അയച്ചു അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

English: Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ഭർത്സനത്താലും നിന്റെ മൂക്കിലെ ശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ ഊത്തിനാലും നീർത്തോടുകൾ കാണായ്‍വന്നു ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വെളിപ്പെട്ടു.

English: He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു കൈ നീട്ടി എന്നെ പിടിച്ചു, പെരുവെള്ളത്തിൽനിന്നു എന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുത്തു

English: He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

Malayalam: ബലമുള്ള ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ പകെച്ചവരുടെ പക്കൽനിന്നും അവൻ എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; അവർ എന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവരായിരുന്നു.

English: They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

Malayalam: എന്റെ അനർത്ഥദിവസത്തിൽ അവർ എന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എനിക്കു തുണയായിരുന്നു.

English: He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

Malayalam: അവൻ എന്നെ വിശാലതയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

English: The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.

Malayalam: യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പ്രതിഫലം നല്കി; എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ വെടിപ്പിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം എനിക്കു പകരം തന്നു.

English: For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു; എന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.

English: For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ വിധികൾ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ വിട്ടുനടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

English: I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരുന്നു; അകൃത്യം ചെയ്യാതെ എന്നെത്തന്നേ കാത്തു.

English: Therefore has the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

Malayalam: യഹോവ എന്റെ നീതിപ്രകാരവും അവന്റെ കാഴ്ചയിൽ എന്റെ കൈകൾക്കുള്ള വെടിപ്പിൻ പ്രകാരവും എനിക്കു പകരം നല്കി.

English: With the merciful you will show yourself merciful; with an upright man you will show yourself upright;

Malayalam: ദയാലുവോടു നീ ദയാലു ആകുന്നു; നഷ്കളങ്കനോടു നീ നിഷ്കളങ്കൻ;

English: With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the perverse you will show yourself perverse.

Malayalam: നിർമ്മലനോടു നീ നിർമ്മലനാകുന്നു; വക്രനോടു നീ വക്രത കാണിക്കുന്നു.

English: For you will save the afflicted people; but will bring down high looks.

Malayalam: എളിയജനത്തെ നീ രക്ഷിക്കും; നിഗളിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവരെ നീ താഴ്ത്തും.

English: For you will light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ ദീപത്തെ കത്തിക്കും; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്റെ അന്ധകാരത്തെ പ്രകാശമാക്കും.

English: For by you I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

Malayalam: നിന്നാൽ ഞാൻ പടക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലും; എന്റെ ദൈവത്താൽ ഞാൻ മതിൽ ചാടിക്കടക്കും.

English: As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Malayalam: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി തികവുള്ളതു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ഊതിക്കഴിച്ചതു; തന്നെ ശരണമാക്കുന്ന ഏവർക്കും അവൻ പരിചയാകുന്നു.

English: For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

Malayalam: യഹോവയല്ലാതെ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു? നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ഒഴികെ പാറയാരുള്ളു?

English: It is God that girds me with strength, and makes my way perfect.

Malayalam: എന്നെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടു അരമുറുക്കുകയും എന്റെ വഴി കുറവുതീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ദൈവം തന്നേ.

English: He makes my feet like hinds' feet, and sets me upon my high places.

Malayalam: അവൻ എന്റെ കാലുകളെ മാൻ പേടക്കാല്ക്കു തുല്യമാക്കി, എന്റെ ഗിരികളിൽ എന്നെ നില്ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

English: He teaches my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Malayalam: അവൻ എന്റെ കൈകൾക്കു യുദ്ധാഭ്യാസം വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങൾ താമ്രചാപം കുലെക്കുന്നു.

English: You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your right hand has held me up, and your gentleness has made me great.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ രക്ഷ എന്ന പരിചയെ നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ താങ്ങി നിന്റെ സൌമ്യത എന്നെ വലിയവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: You have enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കാലടി വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വിശാലതവരുത്തി; എന്റെ നരിയാണികൾ വഴുതിപ്പോയതുമില്ല.

English: I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I return till they were consumed.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ പിന്തുടർന്നു പിടിച്ചു; അവരെ മുടിക്കുവോളം ഞാൻ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.

English: I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.

Malayalam: അവർക്കു എഴുന്നേറ്റുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അവരെ തകർത്തു; അവർ എന്റെ കാൽകീഴിൽ വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: For you have girded me with strength unto the battle: you have subdued under me those that rose up against me.

Malayalam: യുദ്ധത്തിന്നായി നീ എന്റെ അരെക്കു ശക്തി കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു എതിർത്തവരെ എനിക്കു കീഴടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: You have also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.

Malayalam: എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ സംഹരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ എനിക്കു പുറംകാട്ടുമാറാക്കി.

English: They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

Malayalam: അവർ നിലവിളിച്ചു; രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ ഉത്തരമരുളിയതുമില്ല.

English: Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അവരെ കാറ്റത്തെ പൊടിപോലെ പൊടിച്ചു; വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെ കോരിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; and you have made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.

Malayalam: ജനത്തിന്റെ കലഹങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു നീ എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു; ജാതികൾക്കു എന്നെ തലവനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത ജനം എന്നെ സേവിക്കുന്നു.

English: As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

Malayalam: അവർ കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ എന്നെ അനുസരിക്കും; അന്യജാതിക്കാർ എന്നോടു അനുസരണഭാവം കാണിക്കും.

English: The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.

Malayalam: അന്യജാതിക്കാർ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു അവർ വിറെച്ചും കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു.

English: The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവം ഉന്നതൻ തന്നേ.

English: It is God that avenges me, and subdues the people under me.

Malayalam: ദൈവം എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്കയും ജാതികളെ എനിക്കു കീഴാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: He delivers me from mine enemies: yea, you lift me up above those that rise up against me: you have delivered me from the violent man.

Malayalam: അവൻ ശത്രുവശത്തുനിന്നു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു എതിർക്കുന്നവർക്കു മീതെ നീ എന്നെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; സാഹസക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു നീ എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: Therefore will I give thanks unto you, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto your name.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഞാൻ കീർത്തിക്കും.

English: Great deliverance gives he to his king; and shows mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ രാജാവിന്നു മഹാരക്ഷ നല്കുന്നു; തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്നു ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നേക്കും തന്നേ.
