English: And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

English: Take all of you the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായും സകലപുരുഷന്മാരെയും ആളാംപ്രതി പേർവഴി ചാർത്തി സംഘത്തിന്റെ ആകത്തുക എടുക്കേണം.

English: From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: you and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

Malayalam: നീയും അഹരോനും യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടു, യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവാൻ പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള എല്ലാവരെയും ഗണംഗണമായി എണ്ണേണം.

English: And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.

Malayalam: ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിൽ തലവനായ ഒരുത്തൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

English: And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

English: Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

Malayalam: ശിമെയോൻ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ സൂരീശദ്ദായിയുടെ മകൻ ശെലൂമീയേൽ;

English: Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിൽ അമ്മീനാദാബിന്റെ മകൻ നഹശോൻ;

English: Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

Malayalam: യിസ്സാഖാർ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ സൂവാരിന്റെ മകൻ നെഥനയേൽ;

English: Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.

Malayalam: സെബൂലൂൻ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ ഹോലോന്റെ മകൻ എലീയാബ്;

English: Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

Malayalam: യോസേഫിന്റെ മക്കളിൽ എഫ്രയീംഗോത്രത്തിൽ അമ്മീഹൂദിന്റെ മകൻ എലീശാമാ; മനശ്ശെഗോത്രത്തിൽ പെദാസൂരിന്റെ മകൻ ഗമലീയേൽ;

English: Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.

Malayalam: ബെന്യാമീൻ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ ഗിദെയോനിയുടെ മകൻ അബീദാൻ;

English: Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

Malayalam: ദാൻഗോത്രത്തിൽ അമ്മീശദ്ദായിയുടെ മകൻ അഹീയേസെർ;

English: Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.

Malayalam: ആശേർഗോത്രത്തിൽ ഒക്രാന്റെ മകൻ പഗീയേൽ;

English: Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

Malayalam: ഗാദ്ഗോത്രത്തിൽ ദെയൂവേലിന്റെ മകൻ എലീയാസാഫ്;

English: Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.

Malayalam: നഫ്താലിഗോത്രത്തിൽ ഏനാന്റെ മകൻ അഹീര.

English: These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.

Malayalam: ഇവർ സംഘത്തിൽനിന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഗോത്രങ്ങളിൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യിസ്രായേലിൽ സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:

English: And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their lineages after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

English: As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

English: And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

English: Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

English: Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

English: These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

Malayalam: മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു ഒരുവൻ വീതം യിസ്രായേൽപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരും കൂടി എണ്ണമെടുത്തവർ ഇവർ തന്നേ.

English: So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ ഗോത്രംഗോത്രമായി ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷന്മാരുമായി

English: Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

Malayalam: എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവർ ആകെ ആറു ലക്ഷത്തി മൂവായിരത്തഞ്ഞൂറ്റമ്പതു പേർ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

Malayalam: ഇവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ലേവ്യരെ പിതൃഗോത്രമായി എണ്ണിയില്ല.

English: For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,

Malayalam: ലേവിഗോത്രത്തെ മാത്രം എണ്ണരുതു;

English: Only you shall not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അവരുടെ സംഖ്യ എടുക്കയും അരുതു എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall camp round about the tabernacle.

Malayalam: ലേവ്യരെ സാക്ഷ്യനിവാസത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങൾക്കും വസ്തുക്കൾക്കും ഒക്കെ വിചാരകന്മാരായി നിയമിക്കേണം; അവർ തിരുനിവാസവും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വഹിക്കേണം; അവർ അതിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയും തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമടിച്ചു പാർക്കയും വേണം.

English: And when the tabernacle sets forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that comes nigh shall be put to death.

Malayalam: തിരുനിവാസം പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ ലേവ്യർ അതു അഴിച്ചെടുക്കേണം; തിരുനിവാസം അടിക്കുമ്പോൾ ലേവ്യർ അതു നിവിർത്തേണം; ഒരന്യൻ അടുത്തുവന്നാൽ മരണ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

English: And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഗണംഗണമായി ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ പാളയത്തിലും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൊടിക്കരികെയും ഇങ്ങനെ കൂടാരം അടിക്കേണം.

English: But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സംഘത്തിന്മേൽ ക്രോധം ഉണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ലേവ്യർ സാക്ഷ്യനിവാസത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റം പാളയമിറങ്ങേണം; ലേവ്യർ സാക്ഷ്യ നിവാസത്തിന്റെ കാര്യം നോക്കേണം

English: And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.

Malayalam: എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ എല്ലാം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ചെയ്തു; അതു പോലെ തന്നെ അവർ ചെയ്തു.
