Matthew 22

English: And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said,

Malayalam: യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു ഉപമകളായി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Malayalam: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ പുത്രന്നു വേണ്ടി കല്യാണസദ്യ കഴിച്ച ഒരു രാജാവിനോടു സദൃശം.

English: And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Malayalam: അവൻ കല്യാണത്തിന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചവരെ വിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദാസന്മാരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവർക്കോ വരുവാൻ മനസ്സായില്ല.

English: Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Malayalam: പിന്നെയും അവൻ മറ്റു ദാസന്മാരെ അയച്ചു: എന്റെ മുത്താഴം ഒരുക്കിത്തീർന്നു, എന്റെ കാളകളെയും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളെയും അറുത്തു, എല്ലാം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; കല്യാണത്തിന്നു വരുവിൻ എന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചുവരോടു പറയിച്ചു.

English: But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

Malayalam: അവർ അതു കൂട്ടാക്കാതെ ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ നിലത്തിലേക്കും മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ തന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നും പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: And the remnant took his servants, and pleaded them spitefully, and slew them.

Malayalam: ശേഷമുള്ളവർ അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചു അപമാനിച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: But when the king heard thereof, he was angry: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Malayalam: രാജാവു കോപിച്ചു സൈന്യങ്ങളെ അയച്ചു ആ കുലപാതകന്മാരെ മുടിച്ചു അവരുടെ പട്ടണം ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: Then says he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ ദാസന്മാരോടു: കല്യാണം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ യോഗ്യരായില്ല.

English: Go all of you therefore into the highways, and as many as all of you shall find, bid to the marriage.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ വഴിത്തലെക്കൽ ചെന്നു കാണുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും കല്യാണത്തിന്നു വിളിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guest.

Malayalam: ആ ദാസന്മാർ പെരുവഴികളിൽ പോയി, കണ്ട ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെയും നല്ലവരെയും എല്ലാം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; കല്യാണശാല വിരുന്നുകാരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when the king came in to see the guest, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

Malayalam: വിരുന്നുകാരെ നോക്കുവാൻ രാജാവു അകത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാത്ത ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ അവിടെ കണ്ടു:

English: And he says unto him, Friend, how came you in here not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Malayalam: സ്നേഹിതാ നീ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ഇല്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ അകത്തു വന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ അവന്നു വാക്കു മുട്ടിപ്പോയി.

English: Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Malayalam: രാജാവു ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരോടു: ഇവനെ കയ്യും കാലും കെട്ടി ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടിൽ തള്ളിക്കളവിൻ; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: For many are called, but few are chosen.

Malayalam: വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ അനേകർ; തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ചുരുക്കം.”

English: Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാർ ചെന്നു അവനെ വാക്കിൽ കുടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു

English: And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, neither care you for any man: for you regard not the person of men.

Malayalam: തങ്ങളുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ഹെരോദ്യരോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: ഗുരോ, നീ സത്യവാനും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി നേരായി പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുഖം നോക്കാത്തവൻ ആകയാൽ ആരെയും ശങ്കയില്ലാത്തവനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.

English: Tell us therefore, What think you? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Malayalam: നിനക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? കൈസർക്കു കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

English: But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt all of you me, all of you hypocrites?

Malayalam: യേശു അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത അറിഞ്ഞു: “കപട ഭക്തിക്കാരേ, എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: Show me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.

Malayalam: കരത്തിന്നുള്ള നാണയം കാണിപ്പിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: And he says unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “ഈ സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചുതിന്നു കൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: They say unto him, Caesar's. Then says he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Malayalam: “എന്നാൽ കൈസർക്കുള്ളതു കൈസർക്കും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിൻ” എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

Malayalam: അവർ കേട്ടു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

Malayalam: പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരും അന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു:

English: Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

Malayalam: ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തൻ മക്കൾ ഇല്ലാതെ മരിച്ചാൽ അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ ദേവരവിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു തന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

English: Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവരിൽ ഒന്നാമത്തവൻ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തശേഷം മരിച്ചു, സന്തതി ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ സഹോദരന്നു വിട്ടേച്ചു.

English: Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

Malayalam: രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും ഏഴാമത്തവൻ വരെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

English: And last of all the woman died also.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഒടുവിൽ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.

English: Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ ഏഴുവരിൽ ആർക്കു ഭാര്യയാകും? എാല്ലവർക്കും ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered and said unto them, All of you do go astray, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങൾ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെയും ദൈവശക്തിയെയും അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.

English: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Malayalam: പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവർ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല, വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അത്രേ ആകുന്നു.

English: But as concerning the resurrection of the dead, have all of you not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

Malayalam: മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

English: I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളി ച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ.”

English: And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Malayalam: പുരുഷാരം ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.

English: But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

Malayalam: സദൂക്യരെ അവൻ മിണ്ടാതാക്കിയപ്രകാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു പരീശന്മാർ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടി,

English: Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

Malayalam: അവരിൽ ഒരു വൈദികൻ അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു:

English: Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Malayalam: ഗുരോ, ന്യാപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഏതു കല്പന വലിയതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവിനെ നീ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.

English: This is the first and great commandment.

Malayalam: ഇതാകുന്നു വലിയതും ഒന്നാമത്തേതുമായ കല്പന രണ്ടാമത്തേതു അതിനോടു സമം:

English: And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.

Malayalam: കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.

English: On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Malayalam: ഈ രണ്ടു കല്പനകളിൽ സകലന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Malayalam: പരീശന്മാർ ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു:

English: Saying, What think all of you of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.

Malayalam: “ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു?” അവൻ ആരുടെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു”; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: He says unto them, How then does David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ് ആത്മാവിൽ അവനെ ‘കർത്താവു’ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?”

English: The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, till I make yours enemies your footstool?

Malayalam: “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആക്കുവോളത്തിന്നു എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്ക എന്നു കർത്താവു എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു” എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ. “ദാവീദ് അവനെ ‘കർത്താവു’ എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

Malayalam: അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല;

English: And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Malayalam: അന്നുമുതൽ ആരും അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.
