English: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

Malayalam: ദൈവപുത്രനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ ആരംഭം:

English: As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.

Malayalam: “ഞാൻ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി എന്റെ ദൂതനെ അയക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്റെ വഴി ഒരുക്കും.

English: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare all of you the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Malayalam: കർത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ഒരുക്കുവിൻ അവന്റെ പാത നിരപ്പാക്കുവിൻ എന്നു മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നവന്റെ വാക്കു” എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ യോഹന്നാൻ വന്നു

English: John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Malayalam: മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചും പാപമോചനത്തിന്നായുള്ള മാനസാന്തരസ്നാനം പ്രസംഗിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ യെഹൂദ്യദേശം ഒക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമ്യർ എല്ലാവരും വന്നു പാപങ്ങളെ ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു യോർദ്ദാൻ നദിയിൽ അവനാൽ സ്നാനം കഴിഞ്ഞു.

English: And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

Malayalam: യോഹന്നാനോ ഒട്ടക രോമംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉടുപ്പും അരയിൽ തോൽ വാറും ധരിച്ചും വെട്ടുക്കിളിയും കാട്ടുതേനും ഉപജീവിച്ചും പോന്നു.

English: And preached, saying, There comes one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

Malayalam: എന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവൻ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ചെരിപ്പിന്റെ വാറു കുനിഞ്ഞഴിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ യോഗ്യനല്ല.

English: I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വെള്ളത്തിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവനോ നിങ്ങളെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അവൻ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

Malayalam: ആ കാലത്തു യേശു ഗലീലയിലെ നസറെത്തിൽ നിന്നു വന്നു യോഹന്നാനാൽ യോർദ്ദാനിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിഞ്ഞു.

English: And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Malayalam: വെള്ളത്തിൽ നിന്നു കയറിയ ഉടനെ ആകാശം പിളരുന്നതും ആത്മാവു പ്രാവുപോലെ തന്റെ മേൽ വരുന്നതും കണ്ടു:

English: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രൻ; നിന്നിൽ ഞാൻ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

English: And immediately the spirit drives him into the wilderness.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം ആത്മാവു അവനെ മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോകുവാൻ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു.

English: And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

Malayalam: അവിടെ അവൻ സാത്താനാൽ പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടു നാല്പതു ദിവസം മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു; ദൂതന്മാർ അവനെ ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചു പോന്നു.

English: Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യോഹന്നാൻ തടവിൽ ആയശേഷം യേശു ഗലീലയിൽ ചെന്നു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിച്ചു:

English: And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent all of you, and believe the gospel.

Malayalam: “കാലം തികഞ്ഞു ദൈവരാജ്യം സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു സുവിശേഷത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിപ്പിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഗലീലക്കടല്പുറത്തു നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ശീമോനും അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസും കടലിൽ വല വീശുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അവർ മീൻ പിടിക്കുന്നവർ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And Jesus said unto them, Come all of you after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “എന്നെ അനുഗമിപ്പിൻ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ മനുഷ്യരെ പിടിക്കുന്നവരാക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And immediately they forsook their nets, and followed him.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവർ വല വിട്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

English: And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

Malayalam: അവിടെ നിന്നു അല്പം മുന്നോട്ടു ചെന്നപ്പോൾ സെബെദിയുടെ മകനായ യാക്കോബും അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യോഹന്നാനും പടകിൽ ഇരുന്നു വല നന്നാക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

English: And immediately he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവരെയും വിളിച്ചു; അവർ അപ്പനായ സെബെദിയെ കൂലിക്കാരോടുകൂടെ പടകിൽ വിട്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

English: And they went into Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

Malayalam: അവർ കഫർന്നഹൂമിലേക്കു പോയി; ശബ്ബത്തിൽ അവൻ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിച്ചു.

English: And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിങ്കൽ അവർ വിസ്മയിച്ചു; അവൻ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെപ്പോലെയല്ല, അധികാരമുള്ളവനായിട്ടത്രേ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചതു.

English: And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Malayalam: അവരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ അശുദ്ധാത്മാവുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ നിലവിളിച്ചു:

English: Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with you, you Jesus of Nazareth? are you come to destroy us? I know you who you are, the Holy One of God.

Malayalam: നസറായനായ യേശുവേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കും നിനക്കും തമ്മിൽ എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ വന്നുവോ? നീ ആർ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പിരിശുദ്ധൻ തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace, and come out of him.

Malayalam: യേശു അതിനെ ശാസിച്ചു: “ മിണ്ടരുതു; അവനെ വിട്ടുപോ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അശുദ്ധാത്മാവു അവനെ ഇഴെച്ചു, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനെ വിട്ടു പോയി.

English: And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commands he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു: ഇതെന്തു? ഒരു പുതിയ ഉപദേശം; അവൻ അധികാരത്തോടെ അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കളോടും കല്പിക്കുന്നു; അവ അവനെ അനുസരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തമ്മിൽ വാദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശ്രുതി വേഗത്തിൽ ഗലീലനാടു എങ്ങും പരന്നു.

English: And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അവർ പള്ളിയിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി യാക്കോബും യോഹന്നാനുമായി ശിമോന്റെയും അന്ത്രെയാസിന്റെയും വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു.

English: But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and soon they tell him of her.

Malayalam: അവിടെ ശിമോന്റെ അമ്മാവിയമ്മ പനിപിടിച്ചു കിടന്നിരുന്നു; അവർ അവളെക്കുറിച്ചു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

Malayalam: അവൻ അടുത്തു ചെന്നു അവളെ കൈക്കുപിടിച്ചു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; പനി അവളെ വിട്ടുമാറി, അവൾ അവരെ ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചു.

English: And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

Malayalam: വൈകുന്നേരം സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിച്ചശേഷം അവർ സകലവിധദീനക്കാരെയും ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തരെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: And all the city was gathered together at the door.

Malayalam: പട്ടണം ഒക്കെയും വാതിൽക്കൽ വന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.

English: And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

Malayalam: നാനവ്യാധികളാൽ വലഞ്ഞിരുന്ന അനേകരെ അവൻ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, അനേകം ഭൂതങ്ങളെയും പുറത്താക്കി; ഭൂതങ്ങൾ അവനെ അറികകൊണ്ടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ അവയെ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല.

English: And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Malayalam: അതികാലത്തു ഇരുട്ടോടെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഒരു നിർജ്ജനസ്ഥലത്തു ചെന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

English: And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

Malayalam: ശിമോനും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു,

English: And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for you.

Malayalam: അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ: എല്ലാവരും നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “ഞാൻ അടുത്ത ഊരുകളിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം അവിടേക്കു പോക; ഇതിന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ഗലീലയിൽ ഒക്കെയും അവരുടെ പള്ളികളിൽ ചെന്നു പ്രസംഗിക്കയും ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

English: And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If you will, you can make me clean.

Malayalam: ഒരു കുഷ്ഠരോഗി അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു മുട്ടുകുത്തി: നിനക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ ശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാൻ കഴിയും എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and says unto him, I will; be you clean.

Malayalam: യേശു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു കൈ നീട്ടി അവനെ തൊട്ടു:

English: And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

Malayalam: മനസ്സുണ്ടു, ശുദ്ധമാക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ ഉടനെ കുഷ്ഠം വിട്ടുമാറി അവന്നു ശുദ്ധിവന്നു.

English: And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

Malayalam: യേശു അവനെ അമർച്ചയായി ശാസിച്ചു:

English: And says unto him, See you say nothing to any man: but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Malayalam: “നോക്കു, ആരോടും ഒന്നും പറയരുതു; എന്നാൽ ചെന്നു പുരോഹിതന്നു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ കാണിച്ചു, നിന്റെ ശുദ്ധീകരണത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതു അവർക്കു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി അർപ്പിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ വിട്ടയച്ചു.

English: But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

Malayalam: അവനോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു വളരെ ഘോഷിപ്പാനും വസ്തുത പ്രസംഗിപ്പാനും തുടങ്ങി; അതിനാൽ യേശുവിന്നു പരസ്യമായി പട്ടണത്തിൽ കടപ്പാൻ കഴിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവൻ പുറത്തു നിർജ്ജനസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ പാർത്തു; എല്ലാടത്തു നിന്നും ആളുകൾ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു കൂടി.
