Luke 6

English: And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

Malayalam: ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ അവൻ വിളഭൂമിയിൽ കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ കതിർ പറിച്ചു കൈകൊണ്ടു തിരുമ്മിതിന്നു.

English: And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do all of you that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

Malayalam: പരീശന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തതു നിങ്ങൾചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus answering them said, Have all of you not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungered, and they which were with him;

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “ദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കും വിശന്നപ്പോൾ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെന്നു

English: How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?

Malayalam: പുരോഹിതന്മാർ മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും തിന്നരുതാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വാങ്ങി തിന്നുകയും കൂടെയുള്ളവർക്കു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ളതു നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Malayalam: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ശബ്ബത്തിന്നും കർത്താവു ആകുന്നു” എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

Malayalam: മറ്റൊരു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ അവൻ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്നു ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ വലങ്കൈ വറണ്ടുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യൻ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

Malayalam: ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരും അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാൻ സംഗതി കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുമോ എന്നു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ വിചാരം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ വരണ്ട കൈയുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോടു: “എഴുന്നേറ്റു നടുവിൽ നിൽക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

English: Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

Malayalam: അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്നു. യേശു അവരോടു: “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ഒന്നു ചോദിക്കട്ടെ: ശബ്ബത്തിൽ നന്മ ചെയ്കയോ തിന്മ ചെയ്കയോ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയോ നശിപ്പിക്കയോ ഏതു വിഹിതം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Malayalam: അവരെ എല്ലാം ചുറ്റും നോക്കീട്ടു ആ മനുഷ്യനോടു: “കൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു”. അവൻ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു, അവന്റെ കൈക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

English: And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

Malayalam: അവരോ ഭ്രാന്തു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി യേശുവിനെ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു തമ്മിൽ ആലോചന കഴിച്ചു.

English: And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Malayalam: ആ കാലത്തു അവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു മലയിൽ ചെന്നു ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ രാത്രി കഴിച്ചു.

English: And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

Malayalam: നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു, അവരിൽ പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, അവർക്കു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ എന്നും പേർ വിളിച്ചു.

English: Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,

Malayalam: അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ: പത്രൊസ് എന്നു അവൻ പേർവിളിച്ച ശിമോൻ, അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ്, യാക്കോബ്, യോഹന്നാൻ, ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്, ബർത്തൊലൊമായി,

English: Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,

Malayalam: മത്തായി, തോമാസ്, അല്ഫായിയുടെ മകനായ യാക്കോബ്, എരിവുകാരനായ ശിമോൻ,

English: And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യൂദാ, ദ്രോഹിയായ്തീർന്ന ഈസ്കായ്യോർത്ത് യൂദാ എന്നിവർ തന്നേ.

English: And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു കൂടെ ഇറങ്ങി സമഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടവും യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ എല്ലാടത്തുനിന്നും യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നും സോർ സീദോൻ എന്ന സമുദ്രതീരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും അവന്റെ വചനം കേൾപ്പാനും രോഗശാന്തി കിട്ടുവാനും വന്ന ബഹു പുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.

Malayalam: അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കൾ ബാധിച്ചവരും സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

English: And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

Malayalam: ശക്തി അവനിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു എല്ലാവരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും അവനെ തൊടുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.

English: And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be all of you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ നോക്കി പറഞ്ഞതു: “ദരിദ്രന്മാരായ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ, ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതു.

English: Blessed are all of you that hunger now: for all of you shall be filled. Blessed are all of you that weep now: for all of you shall laugh.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ വിശക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു തൃപ്തിവരും; ഇപ്പോൾകരയുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; നിങ്ങൾ ചിരിക്കും.

English: Blessed are all of you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ നിമിത്തം മനുഷ്യർ നിങ്ങളെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു ഭ്രഷ്ടരാക്കി നിന്ദിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പേർ വിടക്കു എന്നു തള്ളുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

English: Rejoice all of you in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Malayalam: ആ നാളിൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചു തുള്ളുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ വലിയതു; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

English: But woe unto you that are rich! for all of you have received your consolation.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ സമ്പന്നരായ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്വാസം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിച്ചുപോയല്ലോ.

English: Woe unto you that are full! for all of you shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for all of you shall mourn and weep.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ തൃപ്തന്മാരായ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിശക്കും. ഇപ്പോൾ ചിരിക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിച്ചു കരയും.

English: Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Malayalam: സകല മനുഷ്യരും നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴത്തിപ്പറയുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ കള്ളപ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ”.

English: But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ കേൾക്കുന്നവരായ നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കുന്നവർക്കു ഗുണം ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

English: Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളെ ശപിക്കുന്നവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളെ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ.

English: And unto him that strikes you on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that takes away your cloak forbid not to take your coat also.

Malayalam: നിന്നെ ഒരു ചെകിട്ടത്തു അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു മറ്റേതും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്ക; നിന്റെ പുതപ്പു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവന്നു വസ്ത്രവും തടുക്കരുതു.

English: Give to every man that asks of you; and of him that takes away your goods ask them not again.

Malayalam: നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും കൊടുക്ക; നിനക്കുള്ളതു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നവനോടു മടക്കി ചോദിക്കരുതു.

English: And as all of you would that men should do to you, do all of you also to them likewise.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവർക്കും ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

English: For if all of you love them which love you, what thank have all of you? for sinners also love those that love them.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു ഉപചാരം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും തങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവല്ലോ.

English: And if all of you do good to them which do good to you, what thank have all of you? for sinners also do even the same.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾക്കു നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്താൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു ഉപചാരം കിട്ടും? പാപികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: And if all of you lend to them of whom all of you hope to receive, what thank have all of you? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

Malayalam: മടക്കി വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ആശിക്കുന്നവർക്കു കടം കൊടുത്താൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു കിട്ടും? പാപികളും കുറയാതെ മടക്കിവാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു പാപികൾക്കു കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: But love all of you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and all of you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളോ ശത്രുക്കളെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; അവർക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്‍വിൻ; ഒന്നും പകരം ഇച്ഛിക്കാതെ കടം കൊടുപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം വളരെ ആകും; നിങ്ങൾ അത്യുന്നതന്റെ മക്കൾ ആകും; അവൻ നന്ദികെട്ടവരോടും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടും ദയാലുവല്ലോ.

English: Be all of you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു മനസ്സലിവുള്ളവൻ ആകുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും മനസ്സലിവുള്ളവർ ആകുവിൻ.

English: Judge not, and all of you shall not be judged: condemn not, and all of you shall not be condemned: forgive, and all of you shall be forgiven:

Malayalam: വിധിക്കരുതു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെയും വിധിക്കയില്ല; ശിക്ഷെക്കു വിധിക്കരുതു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും ശിക്ഷാവിധി ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; വിടുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെയും വിടുവിക്കും.

English: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that all of you mete likewise it shall be measured to you again.

Malayalam: കൊടുപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കിട്ടും; അമർത്തി കുലുക്കി കവിയുന്നൊരു നല്ല അളവു നിങ്ങളുടെ മടിയിൽ തരും; നിങ്ങൾ അളക്കുന്ന അളവിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും അളന്നു കിട്ടും.

English: And he spoke a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Malayalam: അവൻ ഒരുപമയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “കുരുടന്നു കരുടനെ വഴികാട്ടുവാൻ കഴിയുമോ? ഇരുവരും കുഴിയിൽ വീഴുകയില്ലയോ? ശിഷ്യൻ ഗുരുവിന്നു മീതെയല്ല,

English: The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Malayalam: അഭ്യാസം തികഞ്ഞവൻ എല്ലാം ഗുരുവിനെപ്പോലെ ആകും.

English: And why behold you the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but perceive not the beam that is in yours own eye?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നീ സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു നോക്കുകയും സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോൽ വിചാരിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: Either how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the splinter that is in yours eye, when you yourself behold not the beam that is in yours own eye? You hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of yours own eye, and then shall you see clearly to pull out the splinter that is in your brother's eye.

Malayalam: അല്ല, സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോൽ നോക്കാതെ: സഹോദരാ, നില്ലു; നിന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു എടുത്തുകളയട്ടെ എന്നു സഹോദരനോടു പറവാൻ നിനക്കു എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? കപടഭക്തിക്കാരാ, മുമ്പെ സ്വന്തകണ്ണിലെ കോൽ എടുത്തുകളക; എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്റെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടു എടുത്തുകളവാൻ വെടിപ്പായി കണുമല്ലോ.

English: For a good tree brings not forth corrupt fruit; neither does a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Malayalam: ആകാത്തഫലം കായക്കുന്ന നല്ല വൃക്ഷമില്ല; നല്ലഫലം കായക്കുന്ന ആകാത്ത വൃക്ഷവുമില്ല.

English: For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

Malayalam: ഏതു വൃക്ഷത്തെയും ഫലംകൊണ്ടു അറിയാം. മുള്ളിൽനിന്നു അത്തിപ്പഴം ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ഞെരിഞ്ഞിലിൽ നിന്നു മുന്തിരിങ്ങാ പറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറില്ലല്ലോ.

English: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Malayalam: നല്ലമനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തിൽ നിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടൻ ദോഷമായതിൽ നിന്നു ദോഷം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു. ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതല്ലോ വായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതു.

English: And why call all of you me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കർത്താവേ, കർത്താവേ എന്നു വിളിക്കയും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: Whosoever comes to me, and hears my sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like:

Malayalam: എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം ഇന്നവനോടു തുല്യൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ കാണിച്ചു തരാം.

English: He is like a man which built an house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Malayalam: ആഴെക്കുഴിച്ചു പാറമേൽ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടു വീടു പണിയുന്ന മനുഷ്യനോടു അവൻ തുല്യൻ. വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു ഒഴുക്കു വീട്ടിനോടു അടിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അതു നല്ലവണ്ണം പണിതിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അതു ഇളകിപ്പോയില്ല.

English: But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Malayalam: കേട്ടിട്ടു ചെയ്യാത്തവനോ അടിസ്ഥാനം കൂടാതെ മണ്ണിന്മേൽ വീടു പണിത മനുഷ്യനോടു തുല്യൻ. ഒഴുക്കു അടിച്ച ഉടനെ അതു വീണു; ആ വീട്ടിന്റെ വീഴ്ച വലിയതുമായിരുന്നു”.
