English: And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

Malayalam: അവൻ കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ പിറവിയിലെ കുരുടനായോരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

English: And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, ഇവൻ കുരുടനായി പിറക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ആർ പാപം ചെയ്തു? ഇവനോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു: “അവൻ എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെങ്കിലും പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ല, ദൈവപ്രവൃത്തി അവങ്കൽ വെളിവാകേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ.

English: I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.

Malayalam: എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി പകൽ ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നാം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; ആർക്കും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത രാത്രി വരുന്നു;

English: As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ലോകത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ നിലത്തു തുപ്പി തുപ്പൽകൊണ്ടു ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി ചേറു അവന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേൽ പൂശി

English: And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Malayalam: “നീ ചെന്നു ശിലോഹാംകുളത്തിൽ കഴുകുക” എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ശിലോഹാം എന്നതിന്നു അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ എന്നർത്ഥം. അവൻ പോയി കഴുകി, കണ്ണു കാണുന്നവനായി മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

English: The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

Malayalam: അയൽക്കാരും അവനെ മുമ്പെ ഇരക്കുന്നവനായി കണ്ടവരും: ഇവനല്ലയോ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു ഭിക്ഷ യാചിച്ചവൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്നേഎന്നു ചിലരും അല്ല, അവനെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവൻ എന്നു മറ്റുചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Therefore said they unto him, How were yours eyes opened?

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവൻ:

English: He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

Malayalam: യേശു എന്നു പേരുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേൽ പൂശി: ശിലോഹാംകുളത്തിൽ ചെന്നു കഴുകുക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാൻ പോയി കഴുകി കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

Malayalam: അവൻ എവിടെ എന്നു അവർ അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: They brought to the Pharisees him that in old times was blind.

Malayalam: കുരുടനായിരുന്നവനെ അവർ പരീശന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

English: And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

Malayalam: യേശു ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി അവന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതു ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

Malayalam: അവൻ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു പരീശന്മാരും അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അവൻ അവരോടു: അവൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേൽ ചേറു തേച്ചു ഞാൻ കഴുകി; കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keeps not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

Malayalam: പരീശന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ശബ്ബത്ത് പ്രമാണിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വന്നവനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. മറ്റു ചിലർ: പാപിയായോരു മനുഷ്യന്നു ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അടയാളങ്ങൾ ചെയ്‍വാൻ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.

English: They say unto the blind man again, What says you of him, that he has opened yours eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

Malayalam: അവർ പിന്നെയും കുരുടനോടു: നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്തു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: അവൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

Malayalam: കാഴ്ചപ്രാപിച്ചവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു ചോദിക്കുവോളം അവൻ കുരുടനായിരുന്നു എന്നും കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നും യെഹൂദന്മാർ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

English: And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who all of you say was born blind? how then does he now see?

Malayalam: കുരുടനായി ജനിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ മകൻ ഇവൻ തന്നെയോ? എന്നാൽ അവന്നു ഇപ്പോൾ കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവർ അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

Malayalam: അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാർ: ഇവൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ മകൻ എന്നും കുരുടനായി ജനിച്ചവൻ എന്നും ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.

English: But by what means he now sees, we know not; or who has opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവന്റെ കണ്ണു ആർ തുറന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പിൻ; അവന്നു പ്രായം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ അവൻ തന്നേ പറയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാരെ ഭയപ്പെടുകകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാർ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞതു; അവനെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നവൻ പള്ളിഭ്രഷ്ടനാകേണം എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞൊത്തിരുന്നു

English: Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാർ: അവന്നു പ്രായം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.

English: Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

Malayalam: കുരുടനായിരുന്ന മനുഷ്യനെ അവർ രണ്ടാമതും വിളിച്ചു: ദൈവത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുക്ക; ആ മനുഷ്യൻ പാപി എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: അവൻ പാപിയോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഒന്നു അറിയുന്നു; ഞാൻ കുരുടനായിരുന്നു, ഇപ്പോൾ കണ്ണു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said they to him again, What did he to you? how opened he yours eyes?

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു: അവൻ നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്തു? നിന്റെ കണ്ണു എങ്ങനെ തുറന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: He answered them, I have told you already, and all of you did not hear: wherefore would all of you hear it again? will all of you also be his disciples?

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; നിങ്ങൾ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല; വീണ്ടും കേൾപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങൾക്കും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ആകുവാൻ മനസ്സുണ്ടോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then they reviled him, and said, You are his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവർ അവനെ ശകാരിച്ചു: നീ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യൻ; ഞങ്ങൾ മോശെയുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ.

English: We know that God spoke unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

Malayalam: മോശെയോടു ദൈവം സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു; ഇവനോ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that all of you know not from whence he is, and yet he has opened mine eyes.

Malayalam: ആ മനുഷ്യൻ അവരോടു: എന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നിട്ടും അവൻ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തതു ആശ്ചയ്യം.

English: Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does his will, him he hears.

Malayalam: പാപികളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന ദൈവം കേൾക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നും ദൈവഭക്തനായിരുന്നു അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നും നാം അറിയുന്നു.

English: Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

Malayalam: കുരുടനായി പിറന്നവന്റെ കണ്ണു ആരെങ്കിലും തുറന്നപ്രകാരം ലോകം ഉണ്ടായതുമുതൽ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല.

English: If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

Malayalam: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വന്നവൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവന്നു ഒന്നും ചെയ്‍വാൻ കഴികയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു: നീ മുഴുവനും പാപത്തിൽ പിറന്നവൻ; നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God?

Malayalam: അവനെ പുറത്താക്കി എന്നു യേശു കേട്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ: “നീ ദൈവപുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: യജമാനനേ, അവൻ ആർ ആകുന്നു? ഞാൻ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen him, and it is he that talks with you.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “നീ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നവൻ അവൻ തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവൻ: കർത്താവേ, ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

English: And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Malayalam: “കാണാത്തവർ കാണ്മാനും കാണുന്നവർ കുരുടർ ആവാനും ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഞാൻ ഇഹലോകത്തിൽ വന്നു” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

Malayalam: അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ചില പരീശന്മാർ ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഞങ്ങളും കുരുടരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus said unto them, If all of you were blind, all of you should have no sin: but now all of you say, We see; therefore your sin remains.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങൾ കുരുടർ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു പാപം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ: ഞങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപം നില്ക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
