John 6

English: After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യേശു തിബെര്യാസ് എന്ന ഗലീലക്കടലിന്റെ അക്കരെക്കു പോയി.

English: And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

Malayalam: അവൻ രോഗികളിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന അടയാളങ്ങളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു.

English: And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

Malayalam: യേശു മലയിൽ കയറി ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പെസഹ പെരുന്നാൾ അടുത്തിരുന്നു.

English: When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he says unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

Malayalam: യേശു വലിയൊരു പുരുഷാരം തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടു: “ഇവർക്കു തിന്നുവാൻ നാം എവിടെ നിന്നു അപ്പം വാങ്ങും” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

Malayalam: ഇതു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ചോദിച്ചതു; താൻ എന്തു ചെയ്‍വാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു താൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

English: Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് അവനോടു: ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അല്പമല്പം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇരുനൂറു പണത്തിന്നു അപ്പം മതിയാകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, says unto him,

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായി ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ് അവനോടു:

English: There is a lad here, which has five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

Malayalam: ഇവിടെ ഒരു ബാലകൻ ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പക്കൽ അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പവും രണ്ടു മീനും ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ഇത്രപേർക്കു അതു എന്തുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

Malayalam: “ആളുകളെ ഇരുത്തുവിൻ ” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു. ആ സ്ഥലത്തു വളരെ പുല്ലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അയ്യായിരത്തോളം പുരുഷന്മാർ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി, ഇരുന്നവർക്കു പങ്കിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ മീനും വേണ്ടുന്നേടത്തോളം കൊടുത്തു.

English: When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

Malayalam: അവർക്കു തൃപ്തിയായശേഷം അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം ഒന്നും നഷ്ടമാക്കാതെ ശേഖരിപ്പിൻ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

Malayalam: അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പത്തിൽ തിന്നു ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവർ ശേഖരിച്ചു പന്ത്രണ്ടു കൊട്ട നിറച്ചെടുത്തു.

English: Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is truthfully that prophet that should come into the world.

Malayalam: അവൻ ചെയ്ത അടയാളം ആളുകൾ കണ്ടിട്ടു: ലോകത്തിലേക്കു വരുവാനുള്ള പ്രവാചകൻ ഇവൻ ആകുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

Malayalam: അവർ വന്നു തന്നെ പിടിച്ചു രാജാവാക്കുവാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പിന്നെയും തനിച്ചു മലയിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,

Malayalam: സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ കടല്പുറത്തേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി

English: And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

Malayalam: പടകുകയറി കടലക്കരെ കഫർന്നഹൂമിലേക്കു യാത്രയായി; ഇരുട്ടായശേഷവും യേശു അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരുന്നില്ല.

English: And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

Malayalam: കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിക്കയാൽ കടൽ കോപിച്ചു.

English: So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

Malayalam: അവർ നാലു അഞ്ചു നാഴിക ദൂരത്തോളം വലിച്ചശേഷം യേശു കടലിന്മേൽ നടന്നു പടകിനോടു സമീപിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു.

English: But he says unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു; പേടിക്കേണ്ടാ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land where they went.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനെ പടകിൽ കയറ്റുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചു; ഉടനെ പടകു അവർ പോകുന്ന ദേശത്തു എത്തിപ്പോയി.

English: The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, save that one into where his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

Malayalam: പിറ്റെന്നാൾ കടൽക്കരെ നിന്ന പുരുഷാരം ഒരു പടകല്ലാതെ അവിടെ വേറെ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നും, യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പടകിൽ കയറാതെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ മാത്രം പോയിരുന്നു എന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

English: (nevertheless there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ കർത്താവു വാഴ്ത്തീട്ടു അവർ അപ്പം തിന്ന സ്ഥലത്തിന്നരികെ തിബെര്യാസിൽനിന്നു ചെറുപടകുകൾ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.

English: When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also went on board ships, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

Malayalam: യേശു അവിടെ ഇല്ല ശിഷ്യന്മാരും ഇല്ല എന്നു പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളും പടകു കയറി യേശുവിനെ തിരഞ്ഞു കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ എത്തി.

English: And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when came you here?

Malayalam: കടലക്കരെ അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയപ്പോൾ: റബ്ബീ, നീ എപ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ വന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നുയേശു

English: Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, All of you seek me, not because all of you saw the miracles, but because all of you did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Malayalam: “ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ അടയാളം കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടല്ല, അപ്പം തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു.

English: Labour not for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him has God the Father sealed.

Malayalam: നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല, നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു നിലനില്ക്കുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടു തന്നേ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിൻ; അതു മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരും. അവനെ പിതാവായ ദൈവം മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that all of you believe on him whom he has sent.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തി അവൻ അയച്ചവനിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതത്രേ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: They said therefore unto him, What sign show you then, that we may see, and believe you? what do you work?

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു നിന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്തു അടയാളം ചെയ്യുന്നു? എന്തു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു?

English: Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

Malayalam: നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ മന്നാ തിന്നു; അവർക്കു തിന്നുവാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള അപ്പം മോശെയല്ല നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നതു, എന്റെ പിതാവത്രേ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള സാക്ഷാൽ അപ്പം നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരുന്നതു.

English: For the bread of God is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life unto the world.

Malayalam: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അപ്പമോ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു ലോകത്തിന്നു ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, ഈ അപ്പം എപ്പോഴും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടുപറഞ്ഞതു: “ഞാൻ ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നവന്നു വിശക്കയില്ല; എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഒരു നാളും ദാഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

English: But I said unto you, That all of you also have seen me, and believe not.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

English: All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.

Malayalam: പിതാവു എനിക്കു തരുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരും; എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നവനെ ഞാൻ ഒരുനാളും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ല.

English: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമത്രേ ചെയ്‍വാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

English: And this is the Father's will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Malayalam: അവൻ എനിക്കു തന്നതിൽ ഒന്നും ഞാൻ കളയാതെ എല്ലാം ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിൽ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കേണം എന്നാകുന്നു എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം.

English: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Malayalam: പുത്രനെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും നിത്യജീവൻ ഉണ്ടാകേണമെന്നാകുന്നു എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം; ഞാൻ അവനെ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിൽ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

English: The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന അപ്പം എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതിനാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു പിറുപിറുത്തു:

English: And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he says, I came down from heaven?

Malayalam: ഇവൻ യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യേശു അല്ലയോ? അവന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ പിറുപിറുക്കേണ്ടാ;

English: No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Malayalam: എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവു ആകർഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാതെ ആർക്കും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ കഴികയില്ല; ഞാൻ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിൽ അവനെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

English: It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto me.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്താൽ ഉപദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ ആകും എന്നു പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. പിതാവിനോടു കേട്ടുപഠിച്ചവൻ എല്ലാം എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരും.

English: Not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of God, he has seen the Father.

Malayalam: പിതാവിനെ ആരെങ്കിലും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു വന്നവൻ മാത്രമേ പിതാവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള.

English: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me has everlasting life.

Malayalam: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവൻ ഉണ്ടു.

English: I am that bread of life.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു.

English: Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ മന്നാ തിന്നിട്ടും മരിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

English: This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

Malayalam: ഇതോ തിന്നുന്നവൻ മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുന്ന അപ്പം ആകുന്നു.

English: I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Malayalam: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിയ ജീവനുള്ള അപ്പം ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം എന്നേക്കും ജീവിക്കും; ഞാൻ കൊടുപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അപ്പമോ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജീവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ കൊടുക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മാംസം ആകുന്നു.

English: The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ: നമുക്കു തന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നേണ്ടതിന്നു തരുവാൻ ഇവന്നു എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തമ്മിൽ വാദിച്ചു.

English: Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except all of you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, all of you have no life in you.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നാതെയും അവന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉള്ളിൽ ജീവൻ ഇല്ല.

English: Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Malayalam: എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും എന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവൻ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാൻ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിൽ അവനെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

English: For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

Malayalam: എന്റെ മാംസം സാക്ഷാൽ ഭക്ഷണവും എന്റെ രക്തം സാക്ഷാൽ പാനീയവും ആകുന്നു.

English: He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him.

Malayalam: എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും എന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എന്നിലും ഞാൻ അവനിലും വസിക്കുന്നു.

English: As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.

Malayalam: ജീവനുള്ള പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടു ഞാൻ പിതാവിൻമൂലം ജീവിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നെ തിന്നുന്നവൻ എൻമൂലം ജീവിക്കും.

English: This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever.

Malayalam: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന അപ്പം ഇതു ആകുന്നു; പിതാക്കന്മാർ തിന്നുകയും മരിക്കയും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അല്ല; ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവൻ എന്നേക്കും ജീവിക്കും.

English: These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

Malayalam: അവൻ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ പള്ളിയിൽവെച്ചു ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പലരും അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു: ഇതു കഠിനവാക്കു, ഇതു ആർക്കു കേൾപ്പാൻ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Does this offend you?

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നതു യേശു തന്നിൽതന്നേ അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു: “ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇടർച്ച ആകുന്നുവോ?

English: What and if all of you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മുമ്പെ ഇരുന്നേടത്തേക്കു കയറിപ്പോകുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടാലോ?

English: It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Malayalam: ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു; മാംസം ഒന്നിന്നും ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ച വചനങ്ങൾ ആത്മാവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു.

English: But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉണ്ടു ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു — വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവർ ഇന്നവർ എന്നും തന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ ഇന്നവൻ എന്നും യേശു ആദിമുതൽ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു —

English: And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Malayalam: ഇതു ഹേതുവായിട്ടത്രേ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു: “പിതാവു കൃപ നല്കീട്ടല്ലാതെ ആർക്കും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ കഴികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു” എന്നും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Malayalam: അന്നുമുതൽ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ പലരും പിൻവാങ്ങിപ്പോയി, പിന്നെ അവനോടു കൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചില്ല.

English: Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will all of you also go away?

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ യേശു പന്തിരുവരോടു: “നിങ്ങൾക്കും പൊയ്ക്കൊൾവാൻ മനസ്സുണ്ടോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have the words of eternal life.

Malayalam: ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങൾ ആരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോകും? നിത്യജീവന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടു.

English: And we believe and are sure that you are that Christ, the Son of the living God.

Malayalam: നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിച്ചും അറിഞ്ഞും ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങളെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പേരെ ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ലയോ? എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ഒരു പിശാചു ആകുന്നു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതു അവൻ ശിമോൻ ഈസ്കര്യയ്യോർത്താവിന്റെ മകനായ യൂദയെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

Malayalam: ഇവൻ പന്തിരുവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ എങ്കിലും അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാനുള്ളവൻ ആയിരുന്നു.
