John 11

English: Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

Malayalam: മറിയയുടെയും അവളുടെ സഹോദരി മാർത്തയുടെയും ഗ്രാമമായ ബേഥാന്യയിലെ ലാസർ എന്ന ഒരുത്തൻ ദീനമായ്ക്കിടന്നു.

English: (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

Malayalam: ഈ മറിയ ആയിരുന്നു കർത്താവിനെ പരിമള തൈലം പൂശി തന്റെ തലമുടികൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ കാൽ തുടച്ചതു. അവളുടെ സഹോദരനായ ലാസർ ആയിരുന്നു ദീനമായ്ക്കിടന്നതു.

English: Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.

Malayalam: ആ സഹോദരിമാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: കർത്താവേ, നിനക്കു പ്രിയനായവൻ ദീനമായ്ക്കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

English: When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

Malayalam: യേശു അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു: ഈ ദീനം മരണത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല, ദൈവപുത്രൻ മഹത്വപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നായിട്ടത്രേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

Malayalam: യേശു മാർത്തയെയും അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയെയും ലാസരിനെയും സ്നേഹിച്ചു.

English: When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

Malayalam: എന്നിട്ടും അവൻ ദീനമായ്ക്കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടാറെ താൻ അന്നു ഇരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു രണ്ടു ദിവസം പാർത്തു.

English: Then after that says he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: നാം വീണ്ടും യെഹൂദ്യയിലേക്കു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone you; and go you thither again?

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, യെഹൂദന്മാർ ഇപ്പോൾതന്നേ നിന്നെ കല്ലെറിവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചുവല്ലോ; നീ പിന്നെയും അവിടെ പോകുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു: പകലിന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു മണിനേരം ഇല്ലയോ? പകൽ സമയത്തു നടക്കുന്നവൻ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം കാണുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഇടറുന്നില്ല.

English: But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.

Malayalam: രാത്രിയിൽ നടക്കുന്നവനോ അവന്നു വെളിച്ചം ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഇടറുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: These things said he: and after that he says unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

Malayalam: ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ: നമ്മുടെ സ്നേഹിതനായ ലാസർ നിദ്രകൊള്ളുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ അവനെ ഉണർത്തുവാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, അവൻ നിദ്രകൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Nevertheless Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

Malayalam: യേശുവോ അവന്റെ മരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ആയിരുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു; ഉറക്കം എന്ന നിദ്രയെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവർക്കു തോന്നിപ്പോയി.

English: Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യേശു സ്പഷ്ടമായി അവരോടു: ലാസർ മരിച്ചുപോയി;

English: And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent all of you may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അവിടെ ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ വിചാരിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ ഇടയാകുമല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ നാം അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

Malayalam: ദിദിമൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ള തോമസ് സഹശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: അവനോടു കൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നാമും പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

Malayalam: യേശു അവിടെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവനെ കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ചിട്ടു നാലുദിവസമായി എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു.

English: Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

Malayalam: ബേഥാന്യ യെരൂശലേമിന്നരികെ ഏകദേശം രണ്ടു നാഴിക ദൂരത്തായിരുന്നു.

English: And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

Malayalam: മാർത്തയെയും മറിയയെയും സഹോദരനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പല യെഹൂദന്മാരും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരുന്നു.

English: Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

Malayalam: യേശു വരുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടിട്ടു മാർത്ത അവനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ചെന്നു; മറിയയോ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരുന്നു.

English: Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.

Malayalam: മാർത്ത യേശുവിനോടു: കർത്താവേ, നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരൻ മരിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.

English: But I know, that even now, whatsoever you will ask of God, God will give it you.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോഴും നീ ദൈവത്തോടു എന്തു അപേക്ഷിച്ചാലും ദൈവം നിനക്കു തരും എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto her, Your brother shall rise again.

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Martha says unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Malayalam: മാർത്ത അവനോടു: ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിലെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: ഞാൻ തന്നേ പുനരുത്ഥാനവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു; എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ മരിച്ചാലും ജീവിക്കും.

English: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you this?

Malayalam: ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരും ഒരു നാളും മരിക്കയില്ല; ഇതു നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: She says unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Malayalam: അവൾ അവനോടു: ഉവ്വു, കർത്താവേ, ലോകത്തിൽ വരുവാനുള്ള ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തു നീ തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു

English: And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master has come, and calls for you.

Malayalam: പോയി തന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ മറിയയെ സ്വകാര്യമായി വിളിച്ചു: ഗുരു വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു നിന്നെ വിളിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

Malayalam: അവൾ കേട്ട ഉടനെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

English: Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

Malayalam: യേശു അതുവരെ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ കടക്കാതെ മാർത്ത അവനെ എതിരേറ്റ സ്ഥലത്തു തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goes unto the grave to weep there.

Malayalam: വീട്ടിൽ അവളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു അവളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാർ, മറിയ വേഗം എഴുന്നേറ്റു പോകുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവൾ കല്ലറെക്കൽ കരവാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു പിൻചെന്നു.

English: Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.

Malayalam: യേശു ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു മറിയ എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വീണു: കർത്താവേ, നീ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരൻ മരിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.

Malayalam: അവൾ കരയുന്നതും അവളോടുകൂടെ വന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാർ കരയുന്നതും യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉള്ളം നൊന്തു കലങ്ങി:

English: And said, Where have all of you laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

Malayalam: അവനെ വെച്ചതു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കർത്താവേ, വന്നു കാൺക എന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus wept.

Malayalam: യേശു കണ്ണുനീർ വാർത്തു.

English: Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ: കണ്ടോ അവനോടു എത്ര പ്രിയം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

Malayalam: ചിലരോ: കുരുടന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്ന ഇവന്നു ഇവനെയും മരിക്കാതാക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus therefore again groaning in himself comes to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

Malayalam: യേശു പിന്നെയും ഉള്ളംനൊന്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി; അതു ഒരു ഗുഹ ആയിരുന്നു; ഒരു കല്ലും അതിന്മേൽ വെച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: Jesus said, Take all of you away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, says unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he has been dead four days.

Malayalam: കല്ലു നീക്കുവിൻ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു മരിച്ചവന്റെ സഹോദരിയായ മാർത്ത: കർത്താവേ, നാറ്റം വെച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; നാലുദിവസമായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto her, Said I not unto you, that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: വിശ്വസിച്ചാൽ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

Malayalam: അവർ കല്ലു നീക്കി. യേശു മേലോട്ടു നോക്കി: പിതാവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടതിനാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

English: And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.

Malayalam: നീ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചു എന്നു ചുറ്റും നില്ക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരം വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ: ലാസരേ, പുറത്തുവരിക എന്നു ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു.

English: And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus says unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Malayalam: മരിച്ചവൻ പുറത്തുവന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലും കയ്യും ശീലകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടിയും മുഖം റൂമാൽകൊണ്ടു മൂടിയുമിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ കെട്ടു അഴിപ്പിൻ; അവൻ പോകട്ടെ എന്നു യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

Malayalam: മറിയയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരിൽ പലരും അവൻ ചെയ്തതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

English: But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ചിലർ പരീശന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി യേശു ചെയ്തതു അവരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

English: Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man does many miracles.

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും സംഘം കൂടി: നാം എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ വളരെ അടയാളങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

Malayalam: അവനെ ഇങ്ങനെ വിട്ടേച്ചാൽ എല്ലാവരും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കും; റോമക്കാരും വന്നു നമ്മുടെ സ്ഥലത്തെയും ജനത്തെയും എടുത്തുകളയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, All of you know nothing at all,

Malayalam: അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ, ആ സംവത്സരത്തെ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫാവു തന്നേ, അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല;

English: Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

Malayalam: ജനം മുഴുവനും നശിച്ചുപോകാതവണ്ണം ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ജാതിക്കു വേണ്ടി മരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു എന്നു ഓർക്കുന്നതുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

Malayalam: അവൻ ഇതു സ്വയമായി പറഞ്ഞതല്ല, താൻ ആ സംവത്സരത്തെ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ ആകയാൽ ജനത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി യേശു മരിപ്പാൻ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പ്രവചിച്ചതത്രേ.

English: And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Malayalam: ജനത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി മാത്രമല്ല ചിതറിയിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവമക്കളെ ഒന്നായിട്ടു ചേർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ.

English: Then from that day forth they took counsel together in order to put him to death.

Malayalam: അന്നു മുതൽ അവർ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ ആലോചിച്ചു.

English: Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു യേശു യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പിന്നെ പരസ്യമായി നടക്കാതെ അവിടം വിട്ടു മരുഭൂമിക്കരികെ എഫ്രയീം എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു വാങ്ങി ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി അവിടെ പാർത്തു.

English: And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പെസഹ അടുത്തിരിക്കയാൽ പലരും തങ്ങൾക്കു ശുദ്ധിവരുത്തുവാൻ പെസഹെക്കു മുമ്പെ നാട്ടിൽ നിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോയി.

English: Then sought they for Jesus, and spoke among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think all of you, that he will not come to the feast?

Malayalam: അവർ യേശുവിനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു: എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? അവൻ പെരുനാൾക്കു വരികയില്ലയോ എന്നു തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should show it, that they might take him.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും അവനെ പിടിക്കേണം എന്നു വെച്ചു അവൻ ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഇടം ആരെങ്കിലും അറിഞ്ഞാൽ അറിവു തരേണമെന്നു കല്പന കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
