English: Call now, if there be any that will answer you; and to which of the saints will you turn?

Malayalam: വിളിച്ചുനോക്കുക; ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നവനുണ്ടോ? നീ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരിൽ ആരെ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും?

English: For wrath kills the foolish man, and envy slays the silly one.

Malayalam: നീരസം ഭോഷനെ കൊല്ലുന്നു; ഈർഷ്യ മൂഢനെ ഹിംസിക്കുന്നു.

English: I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.

Malayalam: മൂഢൻ വേരൂന്നുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പാർപ്പിടത്തെ ശപിച്ചു.

English: His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മക്കൾ രക്ഷയോടകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ രക്ഷകനില്ലാതെ വാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു തകർന്നുപോകുന്നു.

English: Whose harvest the hungry eats up, and takes it even out of the thorns, and the robber swallows up their substance.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ വിളവു വിശപ്പുള്ളവൻ തിന്നുകളയും; മുള്ളുകളിൽനിന്നും അതിനെ പറിച്ചെടുക്കും; അവരുടെ സമ്പത്തു ദാഹമുള്ളവർ കപ്പിക്കളയും.

English: Although affliction comes not out of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground;

Malayalam: അനർത്ഥം ഉത്ഭവിക്കുന്നതു പൂഴിയിൽനിന്നല്ല; കഷ്ടത മുളെക്കുന്നതു നിലത്തുനിന്നുമല്ല;

English: Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

Malayalam: തീപ്പൊരി ഉയരെ പറക്കുംപോലെ മനുഷ്യൻ കഷ്ടതെക്കായി ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

Malayalam: ഞാനോ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ കാര്യം ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ ഏല്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു;

English: Which does great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

Malayalam: അവൻ, ആരാഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്ത വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളും അസംഖ്യമായ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Who gives rain upon the earth, and sends waters upon the fields:

Malayalam: അവൻ ഭൂതലത്തിൽ മഴപെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; വയലുകളിലേക്കു വെള്ളം വിടുന്നു.

English: To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.

Malayalam: അവൻ താണവരെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവരെ രക്ഷയിലേക്കു കയറ്റുന്നു.

English: He dissapoints the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഉപായികളുടെ സൂത്രങ്ങളെ അബദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കൈകൾ കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിക്കയുമില്ല.

English: He takes the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the perverse is carried headlong.

Malayalam: അവൻ ജ്ഞാനികളെ അവരുടെ കൌശലത്തിൽ പിടിക്കുന്നു; വക്രബുദ്ധികളുടെ ആലോചന മറിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

English: They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.

Malayalam: പകൽസമയത്തു അവർക്കു ഇരുൾ നേരിടുന്നു; ഉച്ചസമയത്തു അവർ രാത്രിയിലെന്നപോലെ തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നു.

English: But he saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

Malayalam: അവൻ ദരിദ്രനെ അവരുടെ വായെന്ന വാളിങ്കൽനിന്നും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

English: So the poor has hope, and iniquity stops her mouth.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ എളിയവന്നു പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ടു; നീതികെട്ടവനോ വായ്പൊത്തുന്നു.

English: Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not you the chastening of the Almighty:

Malayalam: ദൈവം ശാസിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; സർവ്വശക്തന്റെ ശിക്ഷ നീ നിരസിക്കരുതു.

English: For he makes sore, and binds up: he wounds, and his hands make whole.

Malayalam: അവൻ മുറിവേല്പക്കിയും മുറി കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവൻ ചതെക്കയും തൃക്കൈ പൊറുപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: He shall deliver you in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch you.

Malayalam: ആറു കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു അവൻ നിന്നെ വിടുവിക്കും; ഏഴാമത്തേതിലും തിന്മ നിന്നെ തൊടുകയില്ല.

English: In famine he shall redeem you from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

Malayalam: ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവൻ നിന്നെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നും യുദ്ധത്തിൽ വാളിന്റെ വെട്ടിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കും.

English: You shall be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes.

Malayalam: നാവെന്ന ചമ്മട്ടിക്കു നീ ഗുപ്തനാകും; നാശം വരുമ്പോൾ നീ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

English: At destruction and famine you shall laugh: neither shall you be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

Malayalam: നാശവും ക്ഷാമവും കണ്ടു നീ ചിരിക്കും; കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെ നീ പേടിക്കയില്ല.

English: For you shall be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.

Malayalam: വയലിലെ കല്ലുകളോടു നിനക്കു സഖ്യതയുണ്ടാകും; കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ഇണങ്ങിയിരിക്കും.

English: And you shall know that your tabernacle shall be in peace; and you shall visit your habitation, and shall not sin.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ കൂടാരം നിർഭയം എന്നു നീ അറിയും; നിന്റെ പാർപ്പിടം നീ പരിശോധിക്കും, ഒന്നും കാണാതെയിരിക്കയില്ല.

English: You shall know also that your seed shall be great, and yours offspring as the grass of the earth.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ സന്താനം അസംഖ്യമെന്നും നിന്റെ പ്രജ നിലത്തെ പുല്ലുപോലെയെന്നും നീ അറിയും.

English: You shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of corn comes in in his season.

Malayalam: തക്ക സമയത്തു കറ്റക്കൂമ്പാരം അടുക്കിവെക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ പൂർണ്ണവാർദ്ധക്യത്തിൽ കല്ലറയിൽ കടക്കും.

English: Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know you it for your good.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങൾ അതു ആരാഞ്ഞുനോക്കി, അതു അങ്ങനെതന്നേ ആകുന്നു; നീ അതു കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊൾക.
