Job 39

English: Know you the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or can you mark when the hinds do calve?

Malayalam: പാറയിലെ കാട്ടാടുകളുടെ പ്രസവകാലം നിനക്കറിയാമോ? മാൻ പേടകളുടെ ഈറ്റുനോവു നീ കാണുമോ?

English: Can you number the months that they fulfill? or know you the time when they bring forth?

Malayalam: അവെക്കു ഗർഭം തികയുന്ന മാസം നിനക്കു കണക്കു കൂട്ടാമോ? അവയുടെ പ്രസവകാലം നിനക്കു അറിയാമോ?

English: They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.

Malayalam: അവ കുനിഞ്ഞു കുട്ടികളെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; ക്ഷണത്തിൽ വേദന കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

English: Their young ones are in good looking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

Malayalam: അവയുടെ കുട്ടികൾ ബലപ്പെട്ടു കാട്ടിൽ വളരുന്നു; അവ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകുന്നു; മടങ്ങിവരുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: Who has sent out the wild ass free? or who has loosed the bands of the wild ass?

Malayalam: കാട്ടുകഴുതയെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടതു ആർ? വനഗർദ്ദഭത്തെ കെട്ടഴിച്ചതാർ?

English: Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയെ അതിന്നു വീടും ഉവർന്നിലത്തെ അതിന്നു പാർപ്പിടവുമാക്കി.

English: He scorns the multitude of the city, neither regards he the crying of the driver.

Malayalam: അതു പട്ടണത്തിലെ ആരവം കേട്ടു ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തെളിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഒച്ച കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searches after every green thing.

Malayalam: മലനിരകൾ അതിന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറമാകുന്നു; പച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും അതു തിരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു.

English: Will the unicorn be willing to serve you, or abide by your crib?

Malayalam: കാട്ടുപോത്തു നിന്നെ വഴിപ്പെട്ടു സേവിക്കുമോ? അതു നിന്റെ പുല്തൊട്ടിക്കരികെ രാപാർക്കുമോ?

English: Can you bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after you?

Malayalam: കാട്ടു പോത്തിനെ നിനക്കു കയറിട്ടു ഉഴവിന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകാമോ? അതു നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ നിലം നിരത്തുമോ?

English: Will you trust him, because his strength is great? or will you leave your labour to him?

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ ശക്തി വലുതാകയാൽ നീ അതിനെ വിശ്വസിക്കുമോ? നിന്റെ വേല നീ അതിന്നു ഭരമേല്പിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുമോ?

English: Will you believe him, that he will bring home your seed, and gather it into your barn?

Malayalam: അതു നിന്റെ വിത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുമെന്നും നിന്റെ കളപ്പുരയിൽ കൂട്ടുമെന്നും നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുമോ?

English: Gave you the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?

Malayalam: ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷി ഉല്ലസിച്ചു ചിറകു വീശുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ചിറകും തൂവലുംകൊണ്ടു വാത്സല്യം കാണിക്കുമോ?

English: Which left her eggs in the earth, and warms them in dust,

Malayalam: അതു നിലത്തു മുട്ട ഇട്ടേച്ചുപോകുന്നു; അവയെ പൊടിയിൽ വെച്ചു വിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And forgets that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.

Malayalam: കാൽകൊണ്ടു അവ ഉടഞ്ഞുപോയേക്കുമെന്നോ കാട്ടുമൃഗം അവയെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞേക്കുമെന്നോ അതു ഓർക്കുന്നില്ല.

English: She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;

Malayalam: അതു തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോടു തനിക്കുള്ളവയല്ല എന്നപോലെ കാഠിന്യം കാണിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ പ്രയത്നം വ്യർത്ഥമായ്പോകുമെന്നു ഭയപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.

English: Because God has deprived her of wisdom, neither has he imparted to her understanding.

Malayalam: ദൈവം അതിന്നു ജ്ഞാനമില്ലാതാക്കി വിവേകം അതിന്നു നല്കീട്ടുമില്ല.

English: What time she lifts up herself on high, she scorns the horse and his rider.

Malayalam: അതു ചിറകടിച്ചു പൊങ്ങി ഓടുമ്പോൾ കുതിരയെയും പുറത്തു കയറിയവനെയും പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.

English: Have you given the horse strength? have you clothed his neck with thunder?

Malayalam: കുതിരെക്കു നീയോ ശക്തി കൊടുത്തതു? അതിന്റെ കഴുത്തിന്നു നീയോ കുഞ്ചിരോമം അണിയിച്ചതു?

English: Can you make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.

Malayalam: നിനക്കു അതിനെ വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെപ്പോലെ ചാടിക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ ഹുങ്കാരപ്രതാപം ഭയങ്കരം.

English: He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength: he goes on to meet the armed men.

Malayalam: അതു താഴ്വരയിൽ മാന്തി ഊക്കോടെ ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നു. അതു ആയുധപാണികളെ എതിർത്തുചെല്ലുന്നു.

English: He mocks at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turns he back from the sword.

Malayalam: അതു കൂശാതെ ഭയത്തെ പുച്ഛിക്കുന്നു; വാളിനോടു പിൻവാങ്ങി മണ്ടുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: The quiver rattles against him, the glittering spear and the shield.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു എതിരെ ആവനാഴിയും മിന്നുന്ന കുന്തവും ശൂലവും കിലുകിലുക്കുന്നു.

English: He swallows the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believes he that it is the sound of the trumpet.

Malayalam: അതു ഉഗ്രതയും കോപവും പൂണ്ടു നിലം വിഴുങ്ങുന്നു; കാഹളനാദം കേട്ടാൽ അതു അടങ്ങിനിൽക്കയില്ല.

English: He says among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smells the battle far off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

Malayalam: കാഹളനാദം ധ്വനിക്കുന്തോറും അതു ഹാ, ഹാ എന്നു ചിനെക്കുന്നു; പടയും പടനായകന്മാരുടെ മുഴക്കവും ആർപ്പും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു മണക്കുന്നു.

English: Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

Malayalam: നിന്റെ വിവേകത്താലോ പരുന്തു പറക്കയും ചിറകു തെക്കോട്ടു വിടർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു?

English: Does the eagle mount up at your command, and make her nest on high?

Malayalam: നിന്റെ കല്പനെക്കോ കഴുകൻ മേലോട്ടു പറക്കയും ഉയരത്തിൽ കൂടുവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു?

English: She dwells and abides on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.

Malayalam: അതു പാറയിൽ കുടിയേറി രാപാർക്കുന്നു; പാറമുകളിലും ദുർഗ്ഗത്തിലും തന്നേ.

English: From thence she seeks the prey, and her eyes behold far off.

Malayalam: അവിടെനിന്നു അതു ഇര തിരയുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കണ്ണു ദൂരത്തേക്കു കാണുന്നു.

English: Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുകൾ ചോര വലിച്ചു കുടിക്കുന്നു. പട്ടുപോയവർ എവിടെയോ അവിടെ അതുണ്ടു.
