Job 15

English: Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,

Malayalam: അതിന്നു തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫസ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനിയായവൻ വ്യർത്ഥജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമോ? അവൻ കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു വയറുനിറെക്കുമോ?

English: Should he reason with useless talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?

Malayalam: അവൻ പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്ത വാക്കുകളാലും ഉപകാരമില്ലാത്ത മൊഴികളാലും തർക്കിക്കുമോ?

English: Yea, you cast off fear, and restrain prayer before God.

Malayalam: നീ ഭക്തി വെടിഞ്ഞു ദൈവസന്നിധിയിലെ ധ്യാനം മുടക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.

English: For your mouth utters yours iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നിന്റെ വായെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഉപായികളുടെ നാവു നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Yours own mouth condemns you, and not I: yea, yours own lips testify against you.

Malayalam: ഞാനല്ല, നിന്റെ സ്വന്തവായ് നിന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ തന്നേ നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Are you the first man that was born? or were you made before the hills?

Malayalam: നീയോ ആദ്യം ജനിച്ച മനുഷ്യൻ? ഗിരികൾക്കും മുമ്പെ നീ പിറന്നുവോ?

English: Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself?

Malayalam: നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ത്രിസഭയിൽ കൂടീട്ടുണ്ടോ? ജഞാനത്തെ നീ കുത്തക പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

English: What know you, that we know not? what understand you, which is not in us?

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തതായി നീ എന്തു അറിയുന്നു? ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വശം ഇല്ലാത്തതായി എന്തൊന്നു നീ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു?

English: With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than your father.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നരെച്ചവരും വൃദ്ധന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെക്കാൾ പ്രായം ചെന്നവർ തന്നേ.

English: Are the consolations of God small with you? is there any secret thing with you?

Malayalam: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആശ്വാസങ്ങളും സ്വന്തമായി പറഞ്ഞുതരുന്ന വാക്കും നിനക്കു പോരയോ?

English: Why does yours heart carry you away? and what do your eyes overlook,

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിന്നെ പതറിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? നീ കണ്ണു ഉരുട്ടുന്നതെന്തു?

English: That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?

Malayalam: നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ചീറുകയും നിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു മൊഴികളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Malayalam: മർത്യൻ ശുദ്ധിമാനായിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ? സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിച്ചവൻ നീതിമാനായിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?

English: Behold, he puts no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

Malayalam: തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരിലും അവന്നു വിശ്വാസമില്ലല്ലോ; സ്വർഗ്ഗവും തൃക്കണ്ണിന്നു നിർമ്മലമല്ല.

English: How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinks iniquity like water?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ മ്ളേച്ഛതയും വഷളത്വവുമുള്ളവനായി വെള്ളംപോലെ അകൃത്യം കുടിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ എങ്ങനെ?

English: I will show you, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കാം, കേട്ടുകൊൾക; ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു വിവരിച്ചുപറയാം.

English: Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു കേൾക്കയും മറെച്ചുവെക്കാതെ അറിയിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു തന്നേ.

English: Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.

Malayalam: അവർക്കുമാത്രമല്ലോ ദേശം നല്കിയിരുന്നതു; അന്യൻ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ കടക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: The wicked man labors with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടൻ ജീവപര്യന്തം അതിവേദനയോടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിഷ്ഠൂരന്നു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആണ്ടുകൾ തികയുവോളം തന്നേ.

English: A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.

Malayalam: ഘോരനാദം അവന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു; സുഖമായിരിക്കയിൽ കവർച്ചക്കാരൻ അവന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്നു.

English: He believes not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.

Malayalam: അന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്നു മടങ്ങിവരുമെന്നു അവൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവൻ വാളിന്നിരയായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: He wanders abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

Malayalam: അവൻ അപ്പം തെണ്ടിനടക്കുന്നു; അതു എവിടെ കിട്ടും? അനർത്ഥദിവസം തനിക്കു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അറിയുന്നു.

English: Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

Malayalam: കഷ്ടവും വ്യാകുലവും അവനെ അരട്ടുന്നു; പടെക്കൊരുങ്ങിയ രാജാവെന്നപോലെ അവനെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു.

English: For he stretches out his hand against God, and strengthens himself against the Almighty.

Malayalam: അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി കൈ നീട്ടി, സർവ്വശക്തനോടു ധിക്കാരം കാട്ടിയതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ.

English: He runs upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:

Malayalam: തന്റെ പരിചകളുടെ തുടിച്ച മുഴകളോടുകൂടെ അവൻ ശാഠ്യംകാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുന്നു.

English: Because he covers his face with his fatness, and makes fatness on his flanks.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മേദസ്സുകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു; തന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തു കൊഴുപ്പു കൂട്ടുന്നു.

English: And he dwells in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabits, which are ready to become heaps.

Malayalam: അവൻ ശൂന്യനഗരങ്ങളിലും ആരും പാർക്കാതെ കൽകൂമ്പാരങ്ങളായിത്തീരുവാനുള്ള വീടുകളിലും പാർക്കുന്നു.

English: He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.

Malayalam: അവൻ ധനവാനാകയില്ല; അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തു നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല; അവരുടെ വിളവു നിലത്തേക്കു കുലെച്ചുമറികയുമില്ല.

English: He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.

Malayalam: ഇരുളിൽനിന്നു അവൻ തെറ്റിപ്പോകയില്ല; അഗ്നിജ്വാല അവന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളെ ഉണക്കിക്കളയും; തിരുവായിലെ ശ്വാസംകൊണ്ടു അവൻ കെട്ടുപോകും.

English: Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.

Malayalam: അവൻ വ്യാജത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കരുതു; അതു സ്വയവഞ്ചനയത്രേ; അവന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം വ്യാജം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കും.

English: It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ദിവസം വരുംമുമ്പെ അതു നിവൃത്തിയാകും; അവന്റെ പനമ്പട്ട പച്ചയായിരിക്കയില്ല.

English: He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

Malayalam: മുന്തിരിവള്ളിപോലെ അവൻ പിഞ്ചു ഉതിർക്കും; ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷംപോലെ പൂ പൊഴിക്കും.

English: For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

Malayalam: വഷളന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം വന്ധ്യത പ്രാപിക്കും; കൈക്കൂലിയുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങൾ തീക്കിരയാകും.

English: They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepares deceit.

Malayalam: അവർ കഷ്ടത്തെ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു അനർത്ഥത്തെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഉദരം വഞ്ചനയെ ഉരുവാക്കുന്നു.
