Isaiah 37

English: And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

Malayalam: ഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവു അതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ വസ്ത്രം കീറി രട്ടുടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ചെന്നു.

English: And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ രാജധാനിവിചാരകൻ എല്യാക്കീമിനെയും രായസക്കാരൻ ശെബ്നയെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരിൽ മൂപ്പന്മാരെയും രട്ടുടുത്തവരായി ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാ പ്രവാചകന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.

English: And they said unto him, Thus says Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഹിസ്കീയാവു ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു: ഇതു കഷ്ടവും ശാസനയും നിന്ദയും ഉള്ള ദിവസമത്രേ; കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ ജനിപ്പാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; പ്രസവിപ്പാനോ ശക്തിയില്ല.

English: It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD your God has heard: wherefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.

Malayalam: ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ നിന്ദിപ്പാൻ രബ്-ശാക്കേയെ അവന്റെ യജമാനനായ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവു അയച്ചു പറയിക്കുന്ന വാക്കു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ പക്ഷേ കേൾക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വാക്കിന്നു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യും; ആകയാൽ ഇനിയും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വേണ്ടി പക്ഷവാദം കഴിക്കേണമേ.

English: So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

Malayalam: ഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ യെശയ്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ യെശയ്യാവു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall all of you say unto your master, Thus says the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that you have heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ യജമാനനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചതായി നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വാക്കു നിമിത്തം ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

English: Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അവന്നു ഒരു മനോവിഭ്രമം വരുത്തും; അവൻ ഒരു ശ്രുതി കേട്ടിട്ടു സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകും; ഞാൻ അവനെ അവന്റെ സ്വന്തദേശത്തുവെച്ചു വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴുമാറാക്കും.

English: So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

Malayalam: രബ്-ശാക്കേ മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അശ്ശൂർരാജാവു ലിബ്നയുടെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അവൻ ലാക്കീശ് വിട്ടുപോയി എന്നു അവൻ കേട്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He has come forth to make war with you. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ക്രുശ്‌രാജാവയ തിർഹാക്ക തന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധംചെയ്‍വാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവൻ ഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: Thus shall all of you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not your God, in whom you trust, deceive you, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഹിസ്കീയാവോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യെരൂശലേം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചുകളകയില്ല എന്നു നീ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവം നിന്നെ ചതിക്കരുതു.

English: Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shall you be delivered?

Malayalam: അശ്ശൂർരാജാക്കന്മാർ സകലദേശങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്തതും അവെക്കു ഉന്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തിയതും നീ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുമോ?

English: Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telassar?

Malayalam: ഗോസാൻ, ഹാരാൻ, രേസെഫ, തെലസ്സാരിലെ ഏദേന്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാർ അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

English: Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?

Malayalam: ഹമാത്ത് രാജാവും അർപ്പാദ്‍രാജാവും സെഫർവ്വയീംപട്ടണം, ഹേന, ഇവ്വ എന്നിവെക്കു രാജാവായിരുന്നവനും എവിടെ?

English: And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

Malayalam: ഹിസ്കീയാവു ദൂതന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു എഴുത്തുവാങ്ങി വായിച്ചു; ഹിസ്കീയാവു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ചെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അതു വിടർത്തു.

English: And Hezekiah prayed unto the LORD, saying,

Malayalam: ഹിസ്കീയാവു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwell between the cherubims, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: you have made heaven and earth.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി കെരൂബുകളുടെ മീതെ അധിവസിക്കുന്നവനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, നീ ഒരുത്തൻ മാത്രം ഭൂമിയിലെ സർവ്വരാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കും ദൈവമാകുന്നു; നീ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

English: Incline yours ear, O LORD, and hear; open yours eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which has sent to reproach the living God.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, ചെവി ചായിച്ചു കേൾക്കേണമേ; യഹോവേ, തൃക്കണ്ണു തുറന്നു നോക്കേണമേ; ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ നിന്ദിപ്പാൻ ആളയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സൻ ഹേരീബിന്റെ വാക്കു ഒക്കെയും കേൾക്കേണമേ.

English: Truthfully, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries,

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, അശ്ശൂർരാജാക്കന്മാർ സർവ്വജാതികളെയും അവരുടെ ദേശത്തെയും ശൂന്യമാക്കി,

English: And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ തീയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞതു സത്യം തന്നേ; അവ ദേവന്മാരല്ല, മനുഷ്യരുടെ കൈപ്പണിയായ മരവും കല്ലും മാത്രം ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; ആകയാൽ അവർ അവയെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you are the LORD, even you only.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോഴോ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ ഒരുത്തൻ മാത്രം യഹോവ എന്നു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളും അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

English: Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Whereas you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:

Malayalam: ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാവു ഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻ ഹേരീബ് നിമിത്തം എന്നോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു,

English: This is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, and laughed you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.

Malayalam: അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ആവിതു: സീയോൻ പുത്രിയായ കന്യക നിന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചു പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേംപുത്രി നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ തല കുലുക്കുന്നു.

English: Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? and against whom have you exalted your voice, and lifted up yours eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Malayalam: നീ ആരെയാകുന്നു നിന്ദിച്ചു ദുഷിച്ചതു? ആർക്കു വിരോധമായിട്ടാകുന്നു നീ ഒച്ച പൊക്കുകയും തല ഉന്നതമായി ഉയർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തതു? യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന്നു വിരോധമായിട്ടു തന്നെയല്ലോ?

English: By your servants have you reproached the Lord, and have said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർമുഖാന്തരം നീ കർത്താവിനെ നിന്ദിച്ചു; എന്റെ അസംഖ്യരഥങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഞാൻ മലമുകളിലും ലെബാനോന്റെ ശിഖരങ്ങളിലും കയറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ പൊക്കമുള്ള ദേവദാരുക്കളും വിശേഷമായ സരളവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ഞാൻ മുറിക്കും; അതിന്റെ അറ്റത്തെ കൊടുമുടിവരെയും അതിന്റെ ചെഴിപ്പുള്ള കാടുവരെയും ഞാൻ കടന്നുചെല്ലും;

English: I have dug, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ വെള്ളം കുഴിച്ചെടുത്തു കുടിക്കും; എന്റെ കാലടികളാൽ മിസ്രയീമിലെ സകലനദികളെയും വറ്റിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Have you not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that you should be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ പണ്ടുപണ്ടേ അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; പൂർവ്വകാലത്തു തന്നേ അതിനെ നിർമ്മിച്ചു എന്നു നീ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലയോ? നീ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളെ മുടിച്ചു ശൂന്യകൂമ്പാരങ്ങളാക്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ സംഗതി വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു അവയിലെ നിവാസികൾ ദുർബ്ബലന്മാരായി വിരണ്ടു അമ്പരന്നുപോയി; അവർ വയലിലെ പുല്ലും പച്ചച്ചെടിയും പുരപ്പുറങ്ങളിലെ പുല്ലും വളരുംമുമ്പെ കരിഞ്ഞുപോയ ധാന്യവുംപോലെ ആയിത്തീർന്നു.

English: But I know your abode, and your going out, and your coming in, and your rage against me.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ ഇരിപ്പും നിന്റെ ഗമനവും ആഗമനവും എന്റെ നേരെയുള്ള നിന്റെ കോപഭ്രാന്തും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

English: Because your rage against me, and your tumult, has come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.

Malayalam: എന്റെ നേരെയുള്ള നിന്റെ കോപഭ്രാന്തുകൊണ്ടും നിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരം എന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൊളുത്തു നിന്റെ മൂക്കിലും എന്റെ കടിഞ്ഞാൺ നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിലും ഇട്ടു നീ വന്ന വഴിക്കു തന്നേ നിന്നെ മടക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകും.

English: And this shall be a sign unto you, All of you shall eat this year such as grows of itself; and the second year that which springs of the same: and in the third year sow all of you, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഇതു നിനക്കു അടയാളമാകും: നിങ്ങൾ ഈ ആണ്ടിൽ പടുവിത്തു വിളയുന്നതും രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ താനേ കിളുർത്തുവിളയുന്നതും തിന്നും; മൂന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിതെച്ചു കൊയ്യുകയും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി അവയുടെ പഴം തിന്നുകയും ചെയ്യും.

English: And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിൽ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു വീണ്ടും താഴേ വേരൂന്നി മീതെ ഫലം കായിക്കും.

English: For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Malayalam: ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നും ഒരു രക്ഷിതഗണം സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ നിന്നും പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരും; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ തീക്ഷ്ണത അതിനെ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കും.

English: Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ യഹോവ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവൻ ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കു വരികയില്ല; ഒരു അമ്പു അവിടെ എയ്കയുമില്ല; അതിന്റെ നേരെ പരിചയോടുകൂടെ വരികയില്ല; അതിന്നെതിരെ വാടകോരുകയുമില്ല.

English: By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, says the LORD.

Malayalam: അവൻ വന്ന വഴിക്കുതന്നേ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകും; ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കു വരികയുമില്ല;

English: For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Malayalam: എന്റെ നിമിത്തവും എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ പാലിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

English: Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and stroke in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അശ്ശൂർപാളയത്തിൽ നൂറ്റിയെണ്പത്തയ്യായിരം പേരെ കൊന്നു; ജനം രാവിലേ എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോൾ അവർ എല്ലാവരും ശവങ്ങളായി കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

English: So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻ ഹേരീബ് യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി നീനവേയിൽ പാർത്തു.

English: And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons stroke him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his position.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവൻ തന്റെ ദേവനായ നിസ്രോക്കിന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ അദ്രമ്മേലെക്കും ശരേസെരും അവനെ വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊന്നിട്ടു അരാരാത്ത് ദേശത്തേക്കു ഓടിപ്പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ഏസർഹദ്ദോൻ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായിത്തീർന്നു.
