Genesis 49

English: And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: കൂടിവരുവിൻ, ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കും.

English: Gather yourselves together, and hear, all of you sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരേ: കൂടിവന്നു കേൾപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മൊഴിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിൻ!

English: Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:

Malayalam: രൂബേനേ, നീ എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ, എന്റെ വിര്യവും എന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ ആദ്യഫലവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയുടെ വൈശിഷ്ട്യവും ബലത്തിന്റെ വൈശിഷ്ട്യവും തന്നേ

English: Unstable as water, you shall not excel; because you went up to your father's bed; then defiled you it: he went up to my couch.

Malayalam: വെള്ളംപോലെ തുളുമ്പുന്നവനേ, നീ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനാകയില്ല; നീ അപ്പന്റെ കിടക്കമേൽ കയറി അതിനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി; എന്റെ ശയ്യമേൽ അവൻ കയറിയല്ലോ.

English: Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.

Malayalam: ശിമയോനും ലേവിയും സഹോദരന്മാർ; അവരുടെ വാളുകൾ സാഹസത്തിന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ.

English: O my soul, come not you into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not you united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they dug down a wall.

Malayalam: എൻ ഉള്ളമേ, അവരുടെ മന്ത്രണത്തിൽ കൂടരുതേ; എൻ മനമേ, അവരുടെ യോഗത്തിൽ ചേരരുതേ; തങ്ങളുടെ കോപത്തിൽ അവർ പുരുഷന്മാരെ കൊന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ശാഠ്യത്തിൽ കൂറ്റന്മാരുടെ വരിയുടെച്ചു.

English: Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും കഠിനക്രോധവും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു; ഞാൻ അവരെ യാക്കോബിൽ പകക്കയും യിസ്രായേലിൽ ചിതറിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

English: Judah, you are he whom your brethren shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of yours enemies; your father's children shall bow down before you.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദയേ, സഹോദരന്മാർ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ത്തും; നിന്റെ കൈ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കഴുത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കും; അപ്പന്റെ മക്കൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നമസ്കരിക്കും.

English: Judah is a lion's offspring: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

Malayalam: യഹൂദാ ഒരു ബാലസിംഹം; മകനേ, നീ ഇരപിടിച്ചു കയറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു, സിംഹംപോലെയും സിംഹിപോലെയും പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; ആർ അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും?

English: The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Malayalam: അവകാശമുള്ളവൻ വരുവോളം ചെങ്കോൽ യെഹൂദയിൽനിന്നും രാജദണ്ഡു അവന്റെ കാലുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല; ജാതികളുടെ അനുസരണം അവനോടു ആകും.

English: Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Malayalam: അവൻ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയോടു ചെറുകഴുതയെയും വിശിഷ്ടമുന്തിരിവള്ളിയോടു കഴുതക്കുട്ടിയെയും കെട്ടുന്നു; അവൻ വീഞ്ഞിൽ തന്റെ ഉടുപ്പും ദ്രാക്ഷാരസത്തിൽ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രവും അലക്കുന്നു.

English: His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ കണ്ണു വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു ചുവന്നും അവന്റെ പല്ലു പാലുകൊണ്ടു വെളുത്തും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.

Malayalam: സെബൂലൂൻ സമുദ്രതീരത്തു വസിക്കും; അവൻ കപ്പൽതുറമുഖത്തു പാർക്കും; അവന്റെ പാർശ്വം സീദോൻ വരെ ആകും.

English: Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:

Malayalam: യിസ്സാഖാർ അസ്ഥിബലമുള്ള കഴുത; അവൻ തൊഴുത്തുകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്നു.

English: And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.

Malayalam: വിശ്രാമം നല്ലതെന്നും ദേശം ഇമ്പമുള്ളതെന്നും കണ്ടു, അവൻ ചുമടിന്നു ചുമൽ കൊടുത്തു ഊഴിയത്തിന്നു ദാസനായ്തീർന്നു.

English: Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.

Malayalam: ദാൻ ഏതൊരു യിസ്രായേല്യഗോത്രവുംപോലെ സ്വജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യും.

English: Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Malayalam: ദാൻ വഴിയിൽ ഒരു പാമ്പും പാതയിൽ ഒരു സർപ്പവും ആകുന്നു; അവൻ കുതിരയുടെ കുതികാൽ കടിക്കും; പുറത്തു കയറിയവൻ മലർന്നു വീഴും.

English: I have waited for your salvation, O LORD.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.

Malayalam: ഗാദോ കവർച്ചപ്പട അവനെ ഞെരുക്കും; അവനോ അവരുടെ പിമ്പടയെ ഞെരുക്കും.

English: Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.

Malayalam: ആശേരോ, അവന്റെ ആഹാരം പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതു; അവൻ രാജകീയസ്വാദുഭോജനം നല്കും.

English: Naphtali is a hind let loose: he gives goodly words.

Malayalam: നഫ്താലി സ്വതന്ത്രയായി നടക്കുന്ന പേടമാൻ; അവൻ ലാവണ്യവാക്കുകൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് ഫലപ്രദമായോരു വൃക്ഷം, നീരുറവിന്നരികെ ഫലപ്രദമായോരു വൃക്ഷം തന്നേ; അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകൾ മതിലിന്മേൽ പടരുന്നു.

English: The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:

Malayalam: വില്ലാളികൾ അവനെ വിഷമിപ്പിച്ചു; അവർ എയ്തു, അവനോടു പൊരുതു.

English: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

Malayalam: അവന്റെ വില്ലു ഉറപ്പോടെ നിന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭുജം യാക്കോബിൻ വല്ലഭന്റെ കയ്യാൽ ബലപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാറയായ ഇടയന്റെ നാമത്താൽ തന്നേ.

English: Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

Malayalam: നിൻ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവത്താൽ - അവൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും സർവ്വശക്തനാൽ തന്നേ - അവൻ മീതെ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും താഴെ കിടക്കുന്ന ആഴത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രങ്ങളാലും മുലയുടെയും ഗർഭത്തിന്റെയും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളാലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

English: The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my conceivers unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Malayalam: നിൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ എൻ ജനകന്മാരുടെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു മീതെ ശാശ്വതഗിരികളുടെ അറ്റത്തോളം പ്രബലപ്പെട്ടു. അവ യോസേഫിന്റെ തലയിലും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ പ്രഭുവായവന്റെ നെറുകയിലും വരും.

English: Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

Malayalam: ബെന്യാമീൻ കടിച്ചു കീറുന്ന ചെന്നായി; രാവിലേ അവൻ ഇരപിടിച്ചു വിഴുങ്ങും; വൈകുന്നേരത്തു അവൻ കവർച്ച പങ്കിടും.

English: All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spoke unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായെൽ ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടും ഇവ ആകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പിതാവു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു ഇതു തന്നേ; അവൻ അവരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം കൊടുത്തു അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

English: And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോന്റെ നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ എന്നെ അടക്കേണം.

English: In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.

Malayalam: കനാൻ ദേശത്തു മമ്രേക്കു സമീപം, അബ്രാഹാം ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോനോടു നിലത്തോടുകൂടെ ശ്മശാനഭൂമിയായി ജന്മം വാങ്ങിയ മക്ക്പേലാ എന്ന നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ തന്നേ.

English: There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.

Malayalam: അവിടെ അവർ അബ്രാഹാമിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറയെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ റിബെക്കയെയും അടക്കി; അവിടെ ഞാൻ ലേയയെയും അടക്കി.

English: The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.

Malayalam: ആ നിലവും അതിലെ ഗുഹയും ഹിത്യരോടു വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയതാകുന്നു.

English: And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the spirit, and was gathered unto his people.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു തീർന്നശേഷം അവൻ കാൽ കട്ടിലിന്മേൽ എടുത്തു വെച്ചിട്ടു പ്രാണനെവിട്ടു തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേർന്നു.
