Ezekiel 18

English: The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: What mean all of you, that all of you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

Malayalam: അപ്പന്മാർ പച്ചമുന്തിരിങ്ങാ തിന്നു മക്കളുടെ പല്ലു പുളിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേൽദേശത്തു ഒരു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: As I live, says the Lord GOD, all of you shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.

Malayalam: എന്നാണ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഈ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറവാൻ ഇടവരികയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

English: Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sins, it shall die.

Malayalam: സകല ദേഹികളും എനിക്കുള്ളവർ; അപ്പന്റെ പ്രാണനും മകന്റെ പ്രാണനും ഒരുപോലെ എനിക്കുള്ളതു; പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും.

English: But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ നീതിമാനായിരുന്നു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ--

English: And has not eaten upon the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbour's wife, neither has come near to a menstruous woman,

Malayalam: പൂജാഗിരികളിൽവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയോ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുകയോ ഋതുവായ സ്ത്രീയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുകയോ ആരോടും അന്യായം പ്രവർത്തിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ

English: And has not oppressed any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has spoiled none by violence, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;

Malayalam: കടം വാങ്ങിയവന്നു പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും ആരോടും പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാതെ തന്റെ അപ്പം വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും

English: He that has not given forth upon interest, neither has taken any increase, that has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true judgment between man and man,

Malayalam: പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കയോ ലാഭം വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊൾകയും മനുഷ്യർക്കു തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ നേരോടെ വിധിക്കയും

English: Has walked in my statutes, and has kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, says the Lord GOD.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു നേരോടേ നടക്കുന്നവൻ നീതിമാൻ - അവൻ നിശ്ചയമായി ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

English: If he brought forth a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that does the like to any one of these things,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവന്നു ഒരു മകൻ ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ നിഷ്കണ്ടകനായിരുന്നു രക്തം ചൊരിക, അവയിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ചെയ്ക,

English: And that does not any of those duties, but even has eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,

Malayalam: ചെയ്യേണ്ടതൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്ക, പൂജാഗിരികളിൽ വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക,

English: Has oppressed the poor and needy, has spoiled by violence, has not restored the pledge, and has lifted up his eyes to the idols, has committed abomination,

Malayalam: കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക, എളിയവനോടും ദരിദ്രനോടും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്ക, വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക,

English: Has given forth upon interest, and has taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

Malayalam: മ്ളേച്ഛത പ്രവർത്തിക്ക, പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്ക, ലാഭം വാങ്ങുക എന്നീവക ചെയ്യുന്നവനായാൽ അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല; അവൻ ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ; അവൻ മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെ മേൽ വരും.

English: Now, lo, if he brought forth a son, that sees all his father's sins which he has done, and considers, and does not such like,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവന്നു ഒരു മകൻ ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പൻ ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളും കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു അങ്ങനെയുള്ളതിനെ ചെയ്യാതെ പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക,

English: That has not eaten upon the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, has not defiled his neighbour's wife,

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക, കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക,

English: Neither has oppressed any, has not withheld the pledge, neither has spoiled by violence, but has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment,

Malayalam: ആരോടെങ്കിലും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പണയം കൈവശം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, എന്നീവകയൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും

English: That has taken off his hand from the poor, that has not received interest nor increase, has executed my judgments, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

Malayalam: നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊൾകയും പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങാതിരിക്കയും എന്റെ വിധികളെ നടത്തി എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവൻ അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

English: As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ അപ്പനോ ക്രൂരപീഡനംചെയ്തു, സഹോദരനോടു പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു, തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്താൽ മരിക്കും.

English: Yet say all of you, Why? does not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he shall surely live.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ മകൻ അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നു; മകൻ നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

English: The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Malayalam: പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും; മകൻ അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ട; അപ്പൻ മകന്റെ അകൃത്യവും വഹിക്കേണ്ട; നീതിമാന്റെ നീതി അവന്റെമേലും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെമേലും ഇരിക്കും.

English: But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടൻ താൻ ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളെയും വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു, നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

English: All his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he has done he shall live.

Malayalam: അവൻ ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളിൽ ഓന്നിനെയും അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതിയാൽ അവൻ ജീവിക്കും.

English: Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? says the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ എനിക്കു അല്പമെങ്കിലും താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടോ? അവൻ തന്റെ വഴികളെ വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിക്കേണമെന്നല്ലയോ എന്റെ താല്പര്യം എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

English: But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതകളെയുംപോലെ ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതിയൊന്നും കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവൻ ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹത്താലും അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപത്താലും അവൻ മരിക്കും.

English: Yet all of you say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ: കർത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ; എന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ?

English: When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in them; for his iniquity that he has done shall he die.

Malayalam: നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ നിതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ അതുനിമിത്തം മരിക്കും; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതികേടു നിമിത്തം തന്നേ അവൻ മരിക്കും.

English: Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടൻ താൻ ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

English: Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഓർത്തു താൻ ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും

English: Yet says the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം: കർത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, എന്റെ വഴികൾ ചൊവ്വുള്ളവയല്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ?

English: Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്നും അവനവന്റെ വഴിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു: അകൃത്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നാശകരമായി ഭവിക്കാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിവിൻ.

English: Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby all of you have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will all of you die, O house of Israel?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾക്കു പുതിയോരു ഹൃദയത്തെയും പുതിയോരു ആത്മാവിനെയും സമ്പാദിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിനു മരിക്കുന്നു?

English: For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, says the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live all of you.

Malayalam: മരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.
