Exodus 5

English: And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെശേഷം മോശെയും അഹരോനും ചെന്നു ഫറവോനോടു: മരുഭൂമിയിൽ എനിക്കു ഉത്സവം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കേണം എന്നിപ്രകാരം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു ഫറവോൻ: യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ആർ? ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ അറികയില്ല; ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടയക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവർ: എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ്‍വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മഹാമാരിയാലോ വാളാലോ ഞങ്ങളെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പോയി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do all of you, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീംരാജാവു അവരോടു: മോശേ, അഹരോനേ, നിങ്ങൾ ജനങ്ങളെ വേല മിനക്കെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഊഴിയ വേലെക്കു പോകുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and all of you make them rest from their burdens.

Malayalam: ദേശത്തു ജനം ഇപ്പോൾ വളരെ ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഊഴിയവേല മിനക്കെടുത്തുന്നു എന്നും ഫറവോൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

Malayalam: അന്നു ഫറവോൻ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഊഴിയ വിചാരകന്മാരോടും പ്രമാണികളോടും കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: All of you shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as in time past: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

Malayalam: ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ ജനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇനി വൈക്കോൽ കൊടുക്കരുതു; അവർ തന്നേ പോയി വൈക്കോൽ ശേഖരിക്കട്ടെ.

English: And the tale of the bricks, which they did make in time past, all of you shall lay upon them; all of you shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും ഇഷ്ടികയുടെ കണക്കു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ അവരുടെ മേൽ ചുമത്തേണം; ഒട്ടും കുറെക്കരുതു. അവർ മടിയന്മാർ; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു.

English: Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ വേല അതിഭാരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ അതിൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെടട്ടെ;

English: And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus says Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ വ്യാജവാക്കുകൾ കേൾക്കരുതു. അങ്ങനെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും ചെന്നു ജനത്തോടു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു വൈക്കോൽ തരികയില്ല,

English: Go all of you, get you straw where all of you can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ പോയി കിട്ടുന്നേടത്തുനിന്നു വൈക്കോൽ ശേഖരിപ്പിൻ; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ വേലയിൽ ഒട്ടും കുറെക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഫറവോൻ കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ ജനം വൈക്കോലിന്നു പകരം താളടി ശേഖരിപ്പാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ചിതറി നടന്നു.

English: And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfill your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

Malayalam: ഊഴിയ വിചാരകന്മാർ അവരെ ഹേമിച്ചു: വൈക്കോൽ കിട്ടിവന്നപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളതിന്നു ശരിയായി നിങ്ങളുടെ നിത്യവേല ദിവസവും തികെക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have all of you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as in time past?

Malayalam: ഫറവോന്റെ ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാർ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ മേൽ ആക്കിയിരുന്ന പ്രമാണികളെ അടിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നലെയും ഇന്നും മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇഷ്ടിക തികെക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore deal you thus with your servants?

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പ്രാമണികൾ ചെന്നു ഫറവോനോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അടിയങ്ങളോടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: There is no straw given unto your servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in yours own people.

Malayalam: അടിയങ്ങൾക്കു വൈക്കോൽ തരാതെ ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു; അടിയങ്ങളെ തല്ലുന്നു; അതു നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു പാപമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he said, All of you are idle, all of you are idle: therefore all of you say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: മടിയന്മാരാകുന്നു നിങ്ങൾ, മടിയന്മാർ; അതുകൊണ്ടു: ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.

English: Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall all of you deliver the tale of bricks.

Malayalam: പോയി വേല ചെയ്‍വിൻ; വൈക്കോൽ തരികയില്ല, ഇഷ്ടിക കണക്കു പോലെ ഏല്പിക്കേണംതാനും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, All of you shall not diminish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

Malayalam: ദിവസംതോറുമുള്ള ഇഷ്ടികക്കണക്കിൽ ഒന്നും കുറെക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ തങ്ങൾ വിഷമത്തിലായി എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പ്രാമണികൾ കണ്ടു.

English: And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

Malayalam: അവർ ഫറവോനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ മോശെയും അഹരോനും വഴിയിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു,

English: And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because all of you have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

Malayalam: അവരോടു നിങ്ങൾ ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഞങ്ങളെ നാറ്റി, ഞങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ വാൾ കൊടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ നോക്കി ന്യായം വിധിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, LORD, wherefore have you so evil pleaded this people? why is it that you have sent me?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: കർത്താവേ, നീ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ദോഷം വരുത്തിയതു എന്തു? നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചതു എന്തിന്നു?

English: For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have you delivered your people at all.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നതുമുതൽ അവൻ ഈ ജനത്തോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ നീ വിടുവിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
