Amos 2

English: Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

Malayalam: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: മോവാബിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം അവൻ എദോംരാജാവിന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ ചുട്ടു കുമ്മായമാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാൽ തന്നെ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.

English: But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

Malayalam: ഞാൻ മോവാബിൽ ഒരു തീ അയക്കും; അതു കെരീയോത്തിന്റെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും; മോവാബ് കലഹത്തോടും ആർപ്പോടും കാഹളനാദത്തോടും കൂടെ മരിക്കും.

English: And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, says the LORD.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ന്യായാധിപതിയെ അതിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചു, അതിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ കൊല്ലും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to go astray, after the which their fathers have walked:

Malayalam: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: യെഹൂദയുടെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമംനിമിത്തം, അവർ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ നിരസിക്കയും അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതെയിരിക്കയും അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ പിന്തുടർന്നുപോന്ന അവരുടെ വ്യാജമൂർത്തികൾ അവരെ തെറ്റിനടക്കുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കയാൽ തന്നേ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.

English: But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ യെഹൂദയിൽ ഒരു തീ അയക്കും; അതു യെരൂശലേമിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

English: Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

Malayalam: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മൂന്നോ നാലോ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം, അവർ നീതിമാനെ പണത്തിന്നും ദരിദ്രനെ ഒരുകൂട്ടു ചെരിപ്പിന്നും വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാൽ തന്നേ, ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷ മടക്കിക്കളകയില്ല.

English: That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

Malayalam: അവർ എളിയവരുടെ തലയിൽ മൺപൊടി കാണ്മാൻ കാംക്ഷിക്കയും സാധുക്കളുടെ വഴി മറിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു പുരുഷനും അവന്റെ അപ്പനും ഒരേ യുവതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നു.

English: And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

Malayalam: അവർ ഏതു ബലിപീഠത്തിന്നരികത്തും പണയം വാങ്ങിയ വസ്ത്രം വിരിച്ചു കിടന്നുറങ്ങുകയും പിഴ അടെച്ചവരുടെ വീഞ്ഞു തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

Malayalam: ഞാനോ അമോർയ്യനെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവന്റെ ഉയരം ദേവദാരുക്കളുടെ ഉയരംപോലെയായിരുന്നു; അവർ കരുവേലകങ്ങൾപോലെ ശക്തിയുള്ളവനുമായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ മീതെ അവന്റെ ഫലവും താഴെ അവന്റെ വേരും നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു, അമോർയ്യന്റെ ദേശത്തെ കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം മരുഭൂമിയൽകൂടി നടത്തി.

English: And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O all of you children of Israel? says the LORD.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ചിലരെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായും നിങ്ങളുടെ യൌവനക്കാരിൽ ചിലരെ വ്രതസ്ഥന്മാരായും എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അല്ലയോ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളേ, എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

English: But all of you gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ വ്രതസ്ഥന്മാർക്കു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിപ്പാൻ കൊടുക്കയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു: പ്രവചിക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

English: Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.

Malayalam: കറ്റ കയറ്റി വണ്ടി അമർത്തുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങൾ ഇരിക്കുന്നിടത്തു അമർത്തിക്കളയും.

English: Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ വേഗവാന്മാർക്കു ശരണം നശിക്കും; ബലവാന്റെ ശക്തി നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല; വീരൻ തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയില്ല;

English: Neither shall he stand that handles the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rides the horse deliver himself.

Malayalam: വില്ലാളി ഉറെച്ചുനിൽക്കയില്ല; ശീഘ്രഗാമി തന്നെത്താൻ വിടുവിക്കയില്ല; കുതിര കയറി ഓടുന്നവൻ തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല.

English: And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says the LORD.

Malayalam: വീരന്മാരിൽ ധൈര്യമേറിയവൻ അന്നാളിൽ നഗ്നനായി ഓടിപ്പോകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
