Acts 8

English: And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

Malayalam: അവനെ കുലചെയ്തതു ശൌലിന്നു സമ്മതമായിരുന്നു. അന്നു യെരൂശലേമിലെ സഭെക്കു ഒരു വലിയ ഉപദ്രവം നേരിട്ടു; അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ ഒഴികെ എല്ലാവരും യെഹുദ്യ ശമര്യ ദേശങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിപ്പോയി.

English: And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

Malayalam: ഭക്തിയുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാർ സ്തെഫാനൊസിനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു. അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു വലിയൊരു പ്രലാപം കഴിച്ചു.

English: As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ശൌൽ വീടുതോറും ചെന്നു പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും പിടിച്ചിഴച്ചു തടവിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സഭയെ മുടിച്ചു പോന്നു.

English: Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

Malayalam: ചിതറിപ്പോയവർ വചനം സുവിശേഷിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവിടവിടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

English: Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ശമര്യപട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അവരോടു ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

English: And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ചെയ്ത അടയാളങ്ങളെ പുരുഷാരങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കയും കാൺകയും ചെയ്കയാൽ അവൻ പറയുന്നതു ഏകമനസ്സോടെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

Malayalam: അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കൾ ബാധിച്ച പലരിൽനിന്നും അവ ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അനേകം പക്ഷവാതക്കാരും മുടന്തരും സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

English: And there was great joy in that city.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ ആ പട്ടണത്തിൽ വളരെ സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ടായി.

English: But there was a certain man, called Simon, which in time past in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ശിമോൻ എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു പുരുഷൻ ആ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ആഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു, താൻ മഹാൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ശമര്യജാതിയെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചുപോന്നു.

English: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

Malayalam: ഇവൻ മഹതി എന്ന ദൈവശക്തി ആകുന്നു എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു ആബാലവൃദ്ധം എല്ലാവരും അവനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുവന്നു.

English: And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

Malayalam: ഇവൻ ആഭിചാരംകൊണ്ടു ഏറിയ കാലം അവരെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കയാൽ അത്രേ അവർ അവനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതു.

English: But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെയും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്ന ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനെ അവർ വിശ്വസിച്ചപ്പോൾ പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു.

English: Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Malayalam: ശിമോൻ താനും വിശ്വസിച്ചു സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടു ചേർന്നു നിന്നു, വലിയ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളും അടയാളങ്ങളും നടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിച്ചു.

English: Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമിലുള്ള അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ, ശമര്യർ ദൈവവചനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു എന്നു കേട്ടു പത്രൊസിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.

English: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit:

Malayalam: അവർ ചെന്നു, അവർക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർക്കായി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

English: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Malayalam: അന്നുവരെ അവരിൽ ആരുടെമേലും ആത്മാവു വന്നിരുന്നില്ല; അവർ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റിരുന്നതേയുള്ളു.

English: Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: അവർ അവരുടെമേൽ കൈ വെച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ലഭിച്ചു.

English: And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,

Malayalam: അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ കൈ വെച്ചതിനാൽ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ലഭിച്ചതു ശിമോൻ കണ്ടാറെ അവർക്കു ദ്രവ്യം കൊണ്ടു വന്നു:

English: Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തന്റെ മേൽ കൈ വെച്ചാൽ അവന്നു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ലഭിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഈ അധികാരം എനിക്കും തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But Peter said unto him, Your money perish with you, because you have thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

Malayalam: പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനം പണത്തിന്നു വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു നീ നിരൂപിക്കകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ പണം നിന്നോടുകൂടെ നശിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ.

English: You have neither part nor lot in this matter: for your heart is not right in the sight of God.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ദൈവ സന്നിധിയിൽ നേരുള്ളതല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ നിനക്കു പങ്കും ഓഹരിയുമില്ല.

English: Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of yours heart may be forgiven you.

Malayalam: നീ ഈ വഷളത്വം വിട്ടു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു കർത്താവിനോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്ക; പക്ഷെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണം ക്ഷമിച്ചുകിട്ടുമായിരിക്കും.

English: For I perceive that you are in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

Malayalam: നീ കൈപ്പുള്ള പകയിലും അനീതിയുടെ ബന്ധനത്തിലും അകപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Then answered Simon, and said, Pray all of you to the LORD for me, that none of these things which all of you have spoken come upon me.

Malayalam: എന്നു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു ശിമോൻ: നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞതു ഒന്നും എനിക്കു ഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ കർത്താവിനോടു എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

Malayalam: അവർ കർത്താവിന്റെ വചനം സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു പ്രസംഗിച്ചശേഷം ശമര്യക്കാരുടെ അനേക ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിൽ സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And the angel of the Lord spoke unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goes down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം കർത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതൻ ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടു: നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു തെക്കോട്ടു യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നു ഗസെക്കുള്ള നിർജ്ജനമായ വഴിയിലേക്കു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem in order to worship,

Malayalam: അവൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ചെന്നപ്പോൾ കന്ദക്ക എന്ന ഐത്യോപ്യാ രാജ്ഞിയുടെ ഒരു ഷണ്ഡനും മഹാനും അവളുടെ സകലഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നും മേൽവിചാരകനുമായ ഒരു ഐത്യോപ്യനെ കണ്ടു. അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നമസ്കരിപ്പാൻ വന്നിട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകയിൽ

English: Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Isaiah the prophet.

Malayalam: തേരിൽ ഇരുന്നു യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ പുസ്തകം വായിക്കയായിരുന്നു.

English: Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.

Malayalam: ആത്മാവു ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടു: നീ അടുത്തുചെന്നു തേരിനോടു ചേർന്നുനടക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, Understand you what you read?

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ഓടിച്ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ പുസ്തകം വായിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടു: നീ വായിക്കുന്നതു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു:

English: And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ പൊരുൾ തിരിച്ചുതരാഞ്ഞാൽ എങ്ങനെ ഗ്രഹിക്കും എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു, ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് കയറി തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

Malayalam: തിരുവെഴുത്തിൽ അവൻ വായിച്ച ഭാഗമാവിതു:

English: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

Malayalam: “അറുക്കുവാനുള്ള ആടിനെപ്പോലെ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി; രോമം കത്രിക്കുന്നവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞാടിനെപ്പോലെ അവൻ വായ് തുറക്കാതിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ താഴ്ചയിൽ അവന്നു ന്യായം കിട്ടാതെ പോയി; അവന്റെ തലമുറയെ ആർ വിവരിക്കും? ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു അവന്റെ ജീവനെ എടുത്തുകളയുന്നുവല്ലോ”

English: And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray you, of whom speaks the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

Malayalam: ഷണ്ഡൻ ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടു: ഇതു പ്രവാചകൻ ആരെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുന്നു? തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചോ മറ്റൊരുത്തനെക്കുറിച്ചോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ഈ തിരുവെഴുത്തു ആധാരമാക്കി അവനോടു യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

English: And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized?

Malayalam: അവർ ഇങ്ങനെ വഴിപോകയിൽ വെള്ളമുള്ളോരു സ്ഥലത്തു എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഷണ്ഡൻ: ഇതാ വെള്ളം ഞാൻ സ്നാനം ഏല്ക്കുന്നതിന്നു എന്തു വിരോധം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Philip said, If you believe with all yours heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Malayalam: (അതിന്നു ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്: നീ പൂർണ്ണ ഹൃദയത്തോടെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ആകാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശുക്രിസ്തു ദൈവപുത്രൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു).

English: And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അവൻ തേർ നിർത്തുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; ഫിലിപ്പൊസും ഷണ്ഡനും ഇരുവരും വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങി, അവൻ അവനെ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Malayalam: അവർ വെള്ളത്തിൽ നിന്നു കയറിയപ്പോൾ കർത്താവിന്റെ ആത്മാവു ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; ഷണ്ഡൻ അവനെ പിന്നെ കണ്ടില്ല; അവൻ സന്തോഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോയി.

English: But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനെ പിന്നെ അസ്തോദിൽ കണ്ടു; അവൻ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു കൈസര്യയിൽ എത്തി.
