2 Chronicles 14

English: So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his position. In his days the land was quiet ten years.

Malayalam: അബീയാവു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആസാ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി. അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ദേശത്തിന്നു പത്തു സംവത്സരം സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടായി.

English: And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:

Malayalam: ആസാ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു പ്രസാദവും ഹിതവും ആയുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

English: For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:

Malayalam: അവൻ അന്യദേവന്മാരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളും പൂജാഗിരികളും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു, സ്തംഭവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ഉടെച്ചു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെ വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു,

English: And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദയോടു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാനും ന്യായപ്രാമണവും കല്പനയും ആചരിച്ചു നടപ്പാനും കല്പിച്ചു.

English: Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.

Malayalam: അവൻ എല്ലായെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും പൂജാഗിരികളും സൂര്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; രാജ്യം അവന്റെ കീഴിയിൽ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരുന്നു.

English: And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.

Malayalam: യഹോവ അവന്നു വിശ്രമം നല്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു ദേശത്തിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടാകയാലും ആ സംവത്സരങ്ങളിൽ അവന്നു യുദ്ധം ഇല്ലായ്കയാലും അവൻ യെഹൂദയിൽ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പണിതു.

English: Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

Malayalam: അവൻ യെഹൂദ്യരോടു: നാം ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പണിതു അവെക്കു ചുറ്റും മതിലുകളും ഗോപുരങ്ങളും വാതിലുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കുക; നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ദേശം നമുക്കു സ്വാധീനമായിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; നാം അവനെ അന്വേഷിക്കയും അവൻ ചുറ്റും നമുക്കു വിശ്രമം നല്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ വെടിപ്പായി പണിതു തീർത്തു.

English: And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.

Malayalam: ആസെക്കു വൻ പരിചയും കുന്തവും എടുത്തവരായി മൂന്നുലക്ഷം യെഹൂദ്യരും ചെറുപരിച എടുപ്പാനും വില്ലു കുലെപ്പാനും പ്രാപ്തരായി രണ്ടുലക്ഷത്തെണ്പതിനായിരം ബെന്യാമീന്യരും ഉള്ളോരു സൈന്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും പരാക്രമശാലികൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം കൂശ്യനായ സേരഹ് പത്തുലക്ഷം ആളും മുന്നൂറു രഥവും ഉള്ള സൈന്യത്തോടുകൂടെ അവരുടെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു മാരേശാവരെ വന്നു.

English: Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

Malayalam: ആസാ അവന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ മാരേശെക്കു സമീപം സെഫാഥാതാഴ്വരയിൽ പടെക്കു അണിനിരത്തി.

English: And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let no man prevail against you.

Malayalam: ആസാ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു: യഹോവേ, ബലവാന്നും ബലഹീനന്നും തമ്മിൽ കാര്യം ഉണ്ടായാൽ സഹായിപ്പാൻ നീയല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുമില്ല; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ, സഹായിക്കേണമേ; നിന്നിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം; മർത്യൻ നിന്റെ നേരെ പ്രബലനാകരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So the LORD stroke the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ആസയുടെയും യെഹൂദ്യരുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ കൂശ്യരെ തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കി; കൂശ്യർ ഓടിപ്പോയി.

English: And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.

Malayalam: ആസയും അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പടജ്ജനവും അവരെ ഗെരാർവരേ പിന്തുടർന്നു; കൂശ്യർ ആരും ജീവനോടെ ശേഷിക്കാതെ പട്ടുപോയി; അവർ യഹോവയുടെയും അവന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവർ വളരെ കവർച്ചയും എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോന്നു.

English: And they stroke all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.

Malayalam: അവർ ഗെരാറിന്നു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം നശിപ്പിച്ചു; യഹോവയിങ്കൽ നിന്നു ഒരു ഭീതി അവയുടെമേൽ വീണിരുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളെയും കൊള്ളയിട്ടു; അവയിൽ കൊള്ള വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: They stroke also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.

Malayalam: അവർ നാൽക്കാലികളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളെയും ആക്രമിച്ചു, അനവധി ആടുകളെയും ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയും അപഹരിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.
