1 Thessalonians 5

English: But of the times and the seasons, brethren, all of you have no need that I write unto you.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കാലങ്ങളെയും സമയങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ എഴുതിയറിയിപ്പാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല.

English: For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

Malayalam: കള്ളൻ രാത്രിയിൽ വരുമ്പോലെ കർത്താവിന്റെ നാൾ വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ നന്നായി അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Malayalam: അവർ സമാധാനമെന്നും നിർഭയമെന്നും പറയുമ്പോൾ ഗർഭിണിക്കു പ്രസവവേദന വരുമ്പോലെ അവർക്കു പെട്ടെന്നു നാശം വന്നു ഭവിക്കും; അവർക്കു തെറ്റിയൊഴിയാവതുമല്ല.

English: But all of you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ആ നാൾ കള്ളൻ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളെ പിടിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുട്ടിലുള്ളവരല്ല;

English: All of you are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കളും പകലിന്റെ മക്കളും ആകുന്നു; നാം രാത്രിക്കും ഇരുളിന്നുമുള്ളവരല്ല.

English: Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നാം ശേഷമുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ ഉറങ്ങാതെ ഉണർന്നും സുബോധമായുമിരിക്ക.

English: For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

Malayalam: ഉറങ്ങുന്നവർ രാത്രിയിൽ ഉറങ്ങുന്നു. മദ്യപിക്കുന്നവർ രാത്രിയിൽ മദ്യപിക്കുന്നു.

English: But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

Malayalam: നാമോ പകലിന്നുള്ളവരാകയാൽ വിശ്വാസവും സ്നേഹവും എന്ന കവചവും ശിരസ്ത്രമായി രക്ഷയുടെ പ്രത്യാശയും ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സുബോധമായിരിക്ക.

English: For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Malayalam: ദൈവം നമ്മെ കോപത്തിന്നല്ല,

English: Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Malayalam: നാം ഉണർന്നിരുന്നാലും ഉറങ്ങിയാലും തന്നോടുകൂടെ ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി മരിച്ച നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുമൂലം രക്ഷയെ പ്രാപിപ്പാനത്രേ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.

English: Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also all of you do.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തുവരുന്നതുപോലെ അന്യോന്യം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചും തമ്മിൽ ആത്മിക വർദ്ധനവരുത്തിയും പോരുവിൻ.

English: And we plead to you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കയും കർത്താവിൽ നിങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ അറിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ വേലനിമിത്തം

English: And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Malayalam: ഏറ്റവും സ്നേഹത്തോടെ വിചാരിക്കേണം എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. തമ്മിൽ സമാധാനമായിരിപ്പിൻ.

English: Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു: ക്രമം കെട്ടവരെ ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശിപ്പിൻ: ഉൾക്കരുത്തില്ലാത്തവരെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തുവിൻ; ബലഹീനരെ താങ്ങുവിൻ; എല്ലാവരോടും ദീർഘക്ഷമ കാണിപ്പിൻ.

English: See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Malayalam: ആരും തിന്മക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാൻ നോക്കുവിൻ; തമ്മിലും എല്ലാവരോടും എപ്പോഴും നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിപ്പിൻ;

English: Rejoice evermore.

Malayalam: എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ;

English: Pray without ceasing.

Malayalam: ഇടവിടാതെ പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ

English: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Malayalam: എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വിൻ; ഇതല്ലോ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ ദൈവേഷ്ടം.

English: Quench not the Spirit.

Malayalam: ആത്മാവിനെ കെടുക്കരുതു.

English: Despise not prophesyings.

Malayalam: പ്രവചനം തുച്ഛീകരിക്കരുതു.

English: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Malayalam: സകലവും ശോധന ചെയ്തു നല്ലതു മുറുകെ പിടിപ്പിൻ.

English: Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Malayalam: സകലവിധദോഷവും വിട്ടകലുവിൻ.

English: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Malayalam: സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ മുഴുവനും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാവും പ്രാണനും ദേഹവും അശേഷം നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയിൽ അനിന്ദ്യമായി വെളിപ്പെടുംവണ്ണം കാക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ.

English: Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളെ വിളിക്കുന്നവൻ വിശ്വസ്തൻ ആകുന്നു; അവൻ അതു നിവർത്തിക്കും.

English: Brethren, pray for us.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ.

English: Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

Malayalam: സകല സഹോദരന്മാരെയും വിശുദ്ധചുംബനത്താൽ വന്ദനം ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

English: I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

Malayalam: കർത്താവാണ, സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും ഈ ലേഖനം വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിക്കേണം.

English: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Malayalam: നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കൃപ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.
