1 Kings 21

English: And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സംഭവിച്ചതു: യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്നു യിസ്രെയേലിൽ ശമര്യരാജാവായ ആഹാബിന്റെ അരമനയുടെ സമീപത്തു ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And Ahab spoke unto Naboth, saying, Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give you for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to you, I will give you the worth of it in money.

Malayalam: ആഹാബ് നാബോത്തിനോടു: നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം എനിക്കു ചീരത്തോട്ടം ആക്കുവാൻ തരേണം; അതു എന്റെ അരമനെക്കു സമീപമല്ലോ. അതിന്നു പകരം ഞാൻ അതിനെക്കാൾ വിശേഷമായോരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നിനക്കു തരാം; അല്ല, നിനക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ വില നിനക്കു പണമായിട്ടു തരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto you.

Malayalam: നാബോത്ത് ആഹാബിനോടു: ഞാൻ എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അവകാശം നിനക്കു തരുവാൻ യഹോവ സംഗതിവരുത്തരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.

Malayalam: യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്ത്: എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അവകാശം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരികയില്ല എന്നു തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുനിമിത്തം ആഹാബ് വ്യസനവും നീരസവും പൂണ്ടു തന്റെ അരമനയിലേക്കു ചെന്നു; ഭക്ഷണം ഒന്നും കഴിക്കാതെ കട്ടിലിന്മേൽ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു കിടന്നു.

English: But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is your spirit so sad, that you eat no bread?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഈസേബെൽ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ഭക്ഷണം ഒന്നും കഴിക്കാതെ ഇത്ര വ്യസനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto her, Because I spoke unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me your vineyard for money; or else, if it please you, I will give you another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give you my vineyard.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവളോടു: ഞാൻ യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിനോടു: നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം എനിക്കു വിലെക്കു തരേണം; അല്ല, നിനക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കിൽ അതിന്നു പകരം വേറെ മുന്തിരത്തോട്ടം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരാമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ: ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നിനക്കു തരികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Do you now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let yours heart be merry: I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഈസേബെൽ അവനോടു: നീ ഇന്നു യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജ്യഭാരം വഹിക്കുന്നുവോ? എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക; നിന്റെ മനസ്സു തെളിയട്ടെ; യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അവൾ ആഹാബിന്റെ പേർവെച്ചു എഴുത്തു എഴുതി അവന്റെ മുദ്രകൊണ്ടു മുദ്രയിട്ടു; എഴുത്തു നാബോത്തിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന മൂപ്പന്മാർക്കും പ്രധാനികൾക്കും അയച്ചു.

English: And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:

Malayalam: എഴുത്തിൽ അവൾ എഴുതിയിരുന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു ഉപവാസം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കി നാബോത്തിനെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ പ്രധാനസ്ഥലം കൊടുത്തു ഇരുത്തുവിൻ.

English: And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, You did blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

Malayalam: നീചന്മാരായ രണ്ടാളുകളെ അവന്നെതിരെ നിർത്തി: അവൻ ദൈവത്തെയും രാജാവിനെയും ദുഷിച്ചു എന്നു അവന്നു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷ്യം പറയിപ്പിൻ; പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞുകൊല്ലേണം.

English: And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന മൂപ്പന്മാരും പ്രധാനികളുമായ പൌരന്മാർ ഈസേബെൽ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചതു പോലെയും അവൾ കൊടുത്തയച്ച എഴുത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരുന്നതുപോലെയും ചെയ്തു.

English: They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.

Malayalam: അവർ ഉപവാസം പ്രസിദ്ധംചെയ്തു, നാബോത്തിനെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ പ്രധാനസ്ഥലത്തിരുത്തി.

English: And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

Malayalam: നീചന്മാരായ രണ്ടു ആളുകൾ വന്നു അവന്റെ നേരെ ഇരുന്നു; നാബോത്ത് ദൈവത്തേയും രാജാവിനെയും ദുഷിച്ചു എന്നു ആ നീചന്മാർ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ അവന്നു വിരോധമായി, നാബോത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി തന്നേ, സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അവനെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടു പോയി കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

Malayalam: നാബോത്ത് കല്ലേറുകൊണ്ടു മരിച്ചു എന്നു അവർ ഈസേബെലിന്നു വർത്തമാനം പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

English: And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.

Malayalam: നാബോത്ത് കല്ലേറുകൊണ്ടു മരിച്ചു എന്നു ഈസേബെൽ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവൾ ആഹാബിനോടു: നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിനക്കു വിലെക്കു തരുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാത്ത യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം കൈവശമാക്കിക്കൊൾക; നാബോത്ത് ജീവനോടെയില്ല; മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

Malayalam: നാബോത്ത് മരിച്ചു എന്നു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ആഹാബ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ അവിടേക്കു പോയി.

English: And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു തിശ്ബ്യനായ ഏലീയാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, where he is gone down to possess it.

Malayalam: നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശമര്യയിലെ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ആഹാബിനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ചെല്ലുക; ഇതാ, അവൻ നാബോത്തിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ അവിടേക്കു പോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And you shall speak unto him, saying, Thus says the LORD, Have you killed, and also taken possession? And you shall speak unto him, saying, Thus says the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your blood, even yours.

Malayalam: നീ അവനോടു: നീ കുലചെയ്കയും കൈവശമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തുവോ എന്നു യഹോവ ചോദിക്കന്നു. നായ്ക്കൾ നാബോത്തിന്റെ രക്തം നക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു തന്നേ നിന്റെ രക്തവും നക്കിക്കളയും എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നീ അവനോടു പറക.

English: And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found you: because you have sold yourself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.

Malayalam: ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവോടു: എന്റെ ശത്രുവേ, നീ എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തിയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: അതേ, ഞാൻ കണ്ടെത്തി. യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്‍വാൻ നീ നിന്നെ വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു

English: Behold, I will bring evil upon you, and will take away your posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisses against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മേൽ അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തും; നിന്നെ അശേഷം നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കി യിസ്രായേലിൽ അഹാബിന്നുള്ള സ്വതന്ത്രനും അസ്വതന്ത്രനുമായ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചുകളയും.

English: And will make yours house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith you have provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.

Malayalam: നീ എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കയും യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും അഹീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബയെശയുടെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആക്കും.

English: And of Jezebel also spoke the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.

Malayalam: ഈസേബെലിനെക്കുറിച്ചു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: നായ്ക്കൾ ഈസേബെലിനെ യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ മതിലരികെവെച്ചു തിന്നുകളയും.

English: Him that dies of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dies in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.

Malayalam: ആഹാബിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽ പട്ടണത്തിൽ വെച്ചു മരിക്കുന്നവനെ നായ്ക്കൾ തിന്നും; വയലിൽവെച്ചു മരിക്കുന്നവനെ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾ തിന്നും.

English: But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്‍വാൻ തന്നെത്താൻ വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞ ആഹാബിനെപ്പോലെ ആരും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഈസേബെൽ അവനെ അതിന്നായി ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

Malayalam: യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കക്കളഞ്ഞ അമോര്യർ ചെയ്തതുപോലെയൊക്കെയും അവൻ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ചെന്നു സേവിച്ചു മഹാമ്ളേച്ഛത പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.

English: And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

Malayalam: ആഹാബ് ആ വാക്കു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ വസ്ത്രം കീറി, തന്റെ ദേഹം പറ്റെ രട്ടുടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഉപവസിച്ചു, രട്ടിൽ തന്നേ കിടക്കുകയും സാവധാനമായി നടക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

English: And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു തിശ്ബ്യനായ ഏലീയാവിന്നു ഉണ്ടായി:

English: See you how Ahab humbles himself before me? because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.

Malayalam: ആഹാബ് എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തിയതു കണ്ടുവോ? അവൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ ജീവകാലത്തു അനർത്ഥം വരുത്താതെ അവന്റെ മകന്റെ കാലത്തു അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
