1 Corinthians 12

English: Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ആത്മികവരങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിവില്ലാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

English: All of you know that all of you were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as all of you were led.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ജാതികൾ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളെ നടത്തിയതുപോലെ ഊമവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോക പതിവായിരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ ദൈവാത്മാവിൽ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരും യേശു ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ എന്നു പറകയില്ല; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിൽ അല്ലാതെ യേശു കർത്താവു എന്നു പറവാൻ ആർക്കും കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ കൃപാവരങ്ങളിൽ വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; ആത്മാവു ഒന്നത്രേ.

English: And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

Malayalam: ശുശ്രൂഷകളിൽ വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; കർത്താവു ഒരുവൻ.

English: And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all.

Malayalam: വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളിൽ വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരിലും എല്ലാം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം ഒരുവൻ തന്നേ.

English: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit likewise.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു ആത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രകാശനം പൊതുപ്രയോജനത്തിന്നായി നല്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

English: In order to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തന്നു ആത്മാവിനാൽ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനവും മറ്റൊരുത്തന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാൽ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനവും നല്കപ്പെടുന്നു;

English: To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

Malayalam: വേറൊരുത്തന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാൽ വിശ്വാസം, മറ്റൊരുവന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാൽ രോഗശാന്തികളുടെ വരം;

English: To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

Malayalam: മറ്റൊരുവന്നു വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾ; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു പ്രവചനം; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു ആത്മാക്കളുടെ വിവേചനം; വേറൊരുവന്നു പലവിധ ഭാഷകൾ; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു ഭാഷകളുടെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം.

English: But all these works that one and the very same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഇതു എല്ലാം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതു താൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അവനവന്നു അതതു വരം പകുത്തുകൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരേ ആത്മാവു തന്നേ.

English: For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Malayalam: ശരീരം ഒന്നും, അതിന്നു അവയവം പലതും ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അവയവം പലതായിരിക്കെ എല്ലാം ഒരു ശരീരവും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവും.

English: For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാരോ യവനന്മാരോ ദാസന്മാരോ സ്വതന്ത്രരോ നാം എല്ലാവരും ഏകശരീരമാകുമാറു ഒരേ ആത്മാവിൽ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റും എല്ലാവരും ഒരേ ആത്മാവിനെ പാനംചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: For the body is not one member, but many.

Malayalam: ശരീരം ഒരു അവയവമല്ല പലതത്രേ.

English: If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കൈ അല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു കാൽ പറയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അതിനാൽ അതു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു വരികയില്ല.

English: And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കണ്ണു അല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു ചെവി പറയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അതിനാൽ അതു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നും വരികയില്ല.

English: If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

Malayalam: ശരീരം മുഴുവൻ കണ്ണായാൽ ശ്രവണം എവിടെ? മുഴുവൻ ശ്രവണം ആയാൽ ഘ്രാണം എവിടെ?

English: But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.

Malayalam: ദൈവമോ തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം അവയവങ്ങളെ ശരീരത്തിൽ വെവ്വേറായി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And if they were all one member, where were the body?

Malayalam: സകലവും ഒരു അവയവം എങ്കിൽ ശരീരം എവിടെ?

English: But now are they many members, yet but one body.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവയവങ്ങൾ പലതെങ്കിലും ശരീരം ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

English: And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

Malayalam: കണ്ണിന്നു കയ്യോടു: നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നും, തലെക്കു കാലുകളോടു: നിങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നുംപറഞ്ഞുകൂടാ.

English: Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

Malayalam: ശരീരത്തിൽ ബലം കുറഞ്ഞവ എന്നു തോന്നുന്ന അവയവങ്ങൾ തന്നേ ആവശ്യമുള്ളവയാകുന്നു.

English: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our indecent parts have more abundant loveliness.

Malayalam: ശരീരത്തിൽ മാനം കുറഞ്ഞവ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നവെക്കു നാം അധികം മാനം അണിയിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മിൽ അഴകു കുറഞ്ഞവെക്കു അധികം അഴകു വരുത്തുന്നു;

English: For our comely parts have no need: but God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

Malayalam: നമ്മിൽ അഴകുള്ള അവയവങ്ങൾക്കു അതു ആവശ്യമില്ലല്ലോ.

English: That there should be no division in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

Malayalam: ശരീരത്തിൽ ഭിന്നത വരാതെ അവയവങ്ങൾ അന്യോന്യം ഒരുപോലെ കരുതേണ്ടതിന്നായി ദൈവം കുറവുള്ളതിന്നു അധികം മാനം കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Malayalam: അതിനാൽ ഒരുഅവയവം കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവയവങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും കൂടെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു അവയവത്തിന്നു മാനം വന്നാൽ അവയവങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയുംകൂടെ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

English: Now all of you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരവും ഓരോരുത്തൻ വെവ്വേറായി അവയവങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു.

English: And God has set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Malayalam: ദൈവം സഭയിൽ ഒന്നാമതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ, രണ്ടാമതു പ്രവാചകന്മാർ മൂന്നാമതു ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാർ ഇങ്ങനെ ഓരോരുത്തരെ നിയമിക്കയും പിന്നെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾ, രോഗശാന്തികളുടെ വരം, സഹായം ചെയ്‍വാനുള്ള വരം, പരിപാലനവരം, വിവിധഭാഷാവരം എന്നിവ നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

English: Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നവരോ?

English: Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

Malayalam: എല്ലാവർക്കും രോഗശാന്തിക്കുള്ള വരംഉണ്ടോ? എല്ലാവരും അന്യഭാഷകളിൽ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

English: But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കുന്നുവോ? ശ്രേഷ്ഠവരങ്ങളെ വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിൻ; ഇനി അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠമായോരു മാർഗ്ഗം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരാം.
