Hope

നിങ്ങൾ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്ന ശുഭഭാവി വരുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിക്കുന്ന നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ ഇന്നവ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; അവ തിന്മെക്കല്ല നന്മെക്കത്രേയുള്ള നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

പ്രത്യാശെക്കോ ഭംഗം വരുന്നില്ല; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്നേഹം നമുക്കു നല്കപ്പെട്ട പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ പകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.

യഹോവയായ കർത്താവേ, നീ എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയാകുന്നു; ബാല്യംമുതൽ നീ എന്റെ ആശ്രയം തന്നേ.

For you are my hope, O Lord GOD: you are my trust from my youth.

ഞാൻ യഹോവെക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in his word do I hope.

ആ പ്രത്യാശ നമുക്കു ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഒരു നങ്കൂരം തന്നേ; അതു നിശ്ചയവും സ്ഥിരവും തിരശ്ശീലെക്കകത്തേക്കു കടക്കുന്നതുമാകുന്നു.

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil;

നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം. അവൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നുള്ള യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്താൽ തന്റെ കരുണാധിക്യപ്രകാരം നമ്മെ ജീവനുള്ള പ്രത്യാശെക്കായി,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

യഹോവ എന്റെ ഓഹരി എന്നു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പറയുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനിൽ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുന്നു.

The LORD is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

എന്റെ ആത്മാവേ, നീ വിഷാദിച്ചു ഉള്ളിൽ ഞരങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവത്തിൽ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക; അവൻ എന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശകരക്ഷയും എന്റെ ദൈവവുമാകുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഇനിയും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

എങ്കിലും യഹോവയെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർ ശക്തിയെ പുതുക്കും; അവർ കഴുകന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ചിറകു അടിച്ചു കയറും; അവർ തളർന്നുപോകാതെ ഓടുകയും ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകാതെ നടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

നാമോ പകലിന്നുള്ളവരാകയാൽ വിശ്വാസവും സ്നേഹവും എന്ന കവചവും ശിരസ്ത്രമായി രക്ഷയുടെ പ്രത്യാശയും ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സുബോധമായിരിക്ക.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
